It was my pleasure to care for adorable Pinot, a slow walker but always energized and perky on his regular walks! Cheryl and her husband live in a super interesting cohousing community in Davis, a very walkable and bikeable college town. Cheryl was a friendly, and very communicative host and I highly recommend this as a sit - especially for anyone who has experience with elderly dogs.
Karen and Jason are warm and kind, they left very thorough notes and gave us a lovely run-through on arrival and a lovely bottle of wine. Lily is a great companion, there are numerous off-lead walks right from the house through miles of fields and woods. Just 10 minutes in the other direction but of course on-lead, takes you to a canal and numerous lakes. She's great on-lead, loves to swim, is fab in the car and friendly with other dogs. She's a lot of fun - we had lots of games of tug on the lawn. She merrily ran along with Jon on his bike on the traffic-less tracks near to the house. Their home is scruplously clean and well ordered, light, airy, stylish and a pleasure to spend time in - as is the gorgeous walled garden that is a haven to numerous wildlife. Watering the pots was a lovely way to end each warm evening as the sunsets are to die for. The guinea pigs were a pleasure, I enjoyed popping them into their run on the lawn a few hours each day and keeping them clean and fed - so easy. We had a fabulous fortnight, a perfect combination of outdoor fun and afternoon naps ! - Thanks so much Karen and Jason
This is one of those "great trade-off" sits: Dottie is chill and loveable. She will give you an eager hello and then proceed to sit quietly and nap all day long. The location is primo, the house is beautiful, and the kitchen is well-equipped. GREAT sit.
I had a wonderful sit for Wajira and Abi. They are having a beautiful house and garden. I came a day earlier and they made me feel very much welcome by picking me up from the train station and inviting me for dinner. Thank you so much again! Everything was easy, well-communicated and smooth. The house and the garden is idyllic and had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay - and of course, Milo and Honey are adorable and we had a lovely time. They are easy going and such sweet hearts. Would come back anytime and highly recommend to others in the future!
First off Tom and Becca are lovely people , warm , welcoming, happy and trusting . Henry and Ellie , their pets ,were equally warm and friendly , provided us with constant entertainment and company . Tom and Becca’s house was off the charts spectacular, filled with Becca’s art and creations , and views to die for . Our stay there was a quick overnight and we would loved to have stayed longer . We never had to worry about Henry and Ellie as they never left our sides the whole time . Truly a great experience for Mike and I , thank you Tom And Becca for sharing your home and pets with us . We would absolutely pet and house sit again.
