We had such a great time with Piers! He's so easygoing and well-trained and such a happy dog. We loved taking him for lots of walks, there are great parks close by. When not out walking, he'll spend pretty much the whole time lying by your chair or curled up on the couch with you. Of course, nothing makes Piers happier than food so give him a few treats and you'll be fast friends. Lauren and Ollie are awesome, they made us feel at home and gave us super simple instructions so we could quickly learn Piers's routine. Thanks guys!

Writing this review is uncomfortable. Joel and his partner are easygoing, but on arrival there was the immediate issue of an overpowering odor that filled the house. I opened all the windows in the house right away but after a week, it still hadn’t dissipated. My health/breathing were adversely affected to the point where I had to check in about a plan B for the pup. Luke is a very sweet old boy. He is slightly arthrititic, but spry enough to go on shorter walks. His breathing is often loud and labored, but he is a lovebug. Unfortunately, the furniture, carpet and kitchen appliances were also uncomfortably grimy, but I would have put in the elbow grease to stick it out if not for the odor. We agreed to amicably end the sit early and I brought Luke over to their friend’s place. (I still went back to the house to make up my bed, to water the plants, take in the mail, and to make sure that the car was parked legally until their return.) The trouble was not anyone’s fault, nor was it foreseeable- no harm no foul, but a shame nonetheless. I would recommend this sit only to people who can easily disregard the things I mention. The house is across from a lovely park, and the area has great views of the sea. For me, overlooking the challenging aspects wasn’t an option due to a physical response.

Tor and Jurate are truly wonderful people who live in an amazing and yet comfortable home and were incredibly gracious and generous. The worst part about the entire experience is the heartbreak of leaving Loki and Freya, their two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I fell in love with them during the stay; Freya is a sweet female and Loki would not leave my side the entire time. If you have the opportunity to stay at their house, seize it!

Porridge was an easy going and fun cat to hang out with! Sara and Genevieve's home is very comfortable and clean, with great accommodations and a location with easy access to all that Pasadena and Los Angeles has to offer.
