We are first time users of zeewoi and had never left our dog or home in the hands of anyone other than close family members. It was therefore a somewhat nerve-wracking venture for us. We feel we truly fell on our feet with James and Minerva. Communication was superb from the very beginning. They were clearly experienced sitters and had prior experience of pugs, which was instantly reassuring. They were sensitive to the needs of an older dog and asked all the right questions. James set up a WhatsApp group to enable easy communication and we met over Skype before confirming the sit. This was useful as it gave them an opportunity to see Gus in his home environment. They travelled up to Lincoln before the sit began and therefore there was plenty of time for a thorough meeting and handover before we left. They took time to go through the Welcome Pack information and we set off feeling very confident that our pet and home were in safe hands. James and Minerva are an utterly charming couple. They are gentle, kind and clearly real animal lovers. Gus took to them immediately, which was unusual as he can be a little standoffish. Not only did they take excellent care of our dog they were also very respectful of our home. It was left spick and span with a loaf of bread and even some sourdough starter – thank you for that! All of the linen had been laundered and you really wouldn’t have known anyone had been living in the house for 3 weeks. Their departure was as smooth as the arrival and I can honestly say that Gus missed them. James and Minerva were perfect sitters for us and would be welcome back any time – either as guests or sitters.

Sarah was a fantastic house and pet sitter! She was very thorough with her notes about the animals, sent texts with pictures and updates while we were away and clearly took care of things with skill and confidence. She asked a lot of great questions which helped me know she wanted to take care of things as best as she could. I really appreciated how much she got our dog out on walks over the weekend and really seemed to prioritize the experience of our animals during her stay. I whole heartedly recommend Sarah as a house sitter!
Rimante was so welcoming to her space and her old babies were a delight to look after. They are low maintenance but require gentle attention and care. This house sit is for someone who should not be out for longer than 4 hours at a time. Thank you for having us Rimante!
