Overall, Cheryl was great. I only gave four stars for pet care but let me explain. I went away for 3 weeks. There was a heat wave the entire time I was away, and I was so afraid my newly planted back yard would wilt to death. Therfore, I leaned on Cheryl heavily to water my back yard plants and shrubs, which is a time-consuming job. She sent videos of my back yard along the way to show me how things were looking. As well as the outside, she also watered my indoor plants regularly. I returned home to see all my new shrubs and plants thriving despite the high 90 degree temps. I also returned to a wonderfully clean house and a satisfied kitty. The main issue around the pet care was that Cheryl believed my kitty should be fed more than I have been feeding him for the past 11 years (based on vet's recommendation) . Despite our email communication regarding her concerns he was not fed enough, and me clearly stating to keep to the feeding directions I'd left, Cheryl disregarded this and fed him more anyway. Although I'd left more than enough cat food to cover the time I was away, the last week she ran out of cat food and needed to buy more. I felt Cheryl was not tuned in to my cat's behavior. While she interpreted my cat was hungry whenever he meowed, much of the time he simply wants/needs/responds well to some gentle talking to with affectionate touching (massages, hair brushing, rubbing his belly), or just a few minutes of interactive play. Yet if food is offered, he will never turn it down. During Cheryl's housesit, I emphasized the yard watering. Because I felt like this was a big inconvenience and burden to place on anyone, I didn't want to emphasize that my sweet cat also required alot of attention. I knew my kitty could make it through 3 weeks on less than his usual amount of loving, but my yard would not survive a heat wave without watering! Because of my choice, I take some responsibility for the perceived lack of attention in the pet department.

Nicola & Dean
I thoroughly enjoyed my sit for Nicola and Dean and would recommend their beautiful home to anyone looking to stay in London. Their home is located just a short walk to the nearest tube (Arsenal) and is on the doorstep to some beautiful London neighbourhoods; Stoke Newington and Angel are accessible by foot, bus and tube; all with great coffee, shops, parks and restaurants.

They made me feel very welcome in their home, providing me with all the necessary information for looking after Milo and about the house.

I stayed in their guest bedroom, where they kindly left me towels for the duration of my stay. The room is calm, peaceful and light.

Milo is a lovely affectionate cat who is enjoys playing, napping and strokes.

My time at Nicola and Deans was great, it felt a like a little sanctuary and I would love to stay again if the opportunity arose - highly recommend.

I enjoyed every minute of caring for Gato and Obi! They are absolutely the sweetest kitties ever. I loved building a connection with them and getting to know their unique personalities. Gato loved food and scratches while Obi loved to play and cuddle. I especially loved how they would follow me everywhere and sit on my lap when I was on the couch. I met Mandy twice and we had great conversations. She would always have the funniest responses when I would send her pictures of her two fur babies. Her apartment was beautiful and super clean. I would love to care for Obi and Gato again! 💗

Jessica
We didn’t meet Jessica in person unfortunately, but I enjoyed getting to know her through our communication prior to the sit and our daily WhatsApp messages during the sit. She was very helpful regarding our travel arrangements, keen to provide everything we needed and the instructions in her Welcome Pack were very clear and comprehensive.

Nero is a beautiful jet black cat who reminded me of the archetypal black cat that appears in children’s fairy stories. He is very easy to look after as he goes out at night (so doesn’t need a cat litter) and sleeps a lot of the day. He enjoys company, is exceedingly inquisitive and likes to be involved in whatever you are doing – especially when you are feeding the chickens!

The two chickens are great and are easy to look after even for a complete novice like me. They are very funny and made me laugh every time I was with them. Visiting them every morning was a great start to the day! We also had 8 freshly laid eggs to enjoy during our week’s stay!

We had full use of the downstairs of Jessica’s house and had everything we needed to be comfortable – including a selection of antique bone china which were a pleasure to eat from. There is no TV but there is a large collection of films on DVDs - although if you want to see them, you do need to bring a device which plays DVDs. The big garden is magical – really beautiful mature trees and plants with a hammock and summer house. The chicken’s enclosure is at the bottom of the long garden. There was a drought at the time we visited so we watered the garden daily – this was a very relaxing way to end the day.

Jessica’s home is in a small village midway between Frome and Warminster on the border between Somerset and Wiltshire . The surrounding countryside is absolutely stunning. We didn’t have a car so instead did walks local to her house on the many footpaths and bridle paths. Two walks I’d recommend are the Iron Age Fort at Cley Hill and Longleat Forest and Lake Shearwater. We also visited the charming town of Frome using the local bus service. If you have your own transport, there is a lot to visit within easy reach, such as Longleat Safari Park and Stourhead.

So if you would like to look after some entertaining pets and would benefit from a complete break from the stresses of city life – I’d recommend a sit at Jessica’s home.

This was my first pet sit and it went very smoothly.
Before my arrival Jan gave me a video tour of the house, told me a bit about Lionel and gave recommendations as to what to do in Worcester.
Jan's house was lovely and I was made to feel very welcome. Lionel was an absolute pleasure to look after, very easy going. House was closely situated to Malvern hills which were beautiful and a great day trip out. Would highly recommend this pet sit!

Melissa
Was going through past sits and realized I never left a review for Melissa or the lovely pets - Woolly, Ferguson, and Steve (amazing cat name imo).

Wooly is a great dog who loves a good walk and playing in the backyard. I met with Melissa before the sit started in order to meet Woolly and have him get accustomed to me. He barked quite a bit at first meet, but kept it to a minimum after that. He's a pretty sweet guy.

The cats were also great, but you'll spend much more time with Steve as Ferguson usually keeps to himself.

The home itself is pretty dang cool. It's large and has anything you'd need to enjoy your stay.
