Petrie and Gidget are the sweetest little things in the entire world! 🥰 They are extremely intelligent and just very easygoing and cuddly. We got a lot of naps and television-watching in during the sit. I was genuinely a bit sad leaving them on my last day – as would anyone who’s had the pleasure of taking care of them. Really couldn’t name 2 better dogs. 🥹 And I couldn’t recommend Rose and Nu enough! They are unbelievably kind and really made me feel welcome in their home. Thank you two for everything! 💛
What a dream sit. The previous sitters have really said it all. Tuli, Chewa and Scapa are loving, gentle and an absolute delight. The house and gardens at Altries House are stunning and our hosts Lucy and Melfort were welcoming, thoughtful and generous to a fault. To put it simply there is just no better sit than at Altries. We would return at any time without a moments hesitation.
We had the most amazing time looking after budgies Olaf and Bijou! Olaf is sensitive, a little cautious at first, yet so sweet and sociable once he gets to know you. Bijou is courageous and outgoing, more expressive of his joy and excitement. They both like human interaction - Bijou will happily sit on a shoulder, Olaf loves being held up high. At times of interaction, flight, feeding and bathing they would show such excitement about life, which was delightful to see. They brought us much happiness and reverence through our stay. We met Laurel and Andre before the sit and they are brilliant; friendly, interesting, generous and highly organized only to name a few things. It was a joy to send them updates as they would teach us more about Olaf's and Bijou's personalities in return. Their home is so comfortable we did not want to leave! So clean, so peaceful, so spacious. A top floor apartment with amazingly huge windows in every room, it gave us the most spectacular views that we enjoyed together with the birds each day. Olaf and Bijou left such a strong impression on us and we really hope to see them again sometime. Thank you Laurel and Andre - we’re very grateful that we got the opportunity to look after your boys!
Krysteen and I had the most wonderful short stay at Katie and John’s house with Topanga aka “Ta-Lulu” or “T-Pang.” We had the best time with her- she’s just the sweetest cat and so happy to see us when we came home. Katie and John’s house is so beautiful, clean and well stocked. They have everything you could need! We were sad our stay was only a few days, we didn’t want to leave and hope we’ll have another chance soon to sit again! Don’t miss your chance if you get the opportunity to sit with Topanga!
Georgie and Charlie were kind and generous hosts who really welcomed us, and immediately made us feel at home in their beautiful house and garden and explained the running of house in concise detail which made our task of looking after the house and Margaux easy. Margaux is a beautiful dog, so well trained and well behaved, she was a joy to walk and look after. She loved jaunts in the car and happily sat in the seat well on journeys. Although in a very rural and quiet setting, the house is close to the village of Yattenden with a shop and a delightful pub. This sit comes highly recommended by us and easily achieves a 5 star rating.
