Moss was an absolute dream to look after, he is extremely low maintenance and has a very sweet personality. He is well trained and loves to stick to his routine! He is good on walks and just a joy to be around. Dan and Chris were wonderful and welcoming hosts. They have a beautiful and clean home in a lovely north Sydney suburb. They left clear instructions for me and were always on hand via text if I had any questions. Thank you for the lovely sit!
We would like to thank You for choosing our family for Your lovely pet family. We and our children really enjoyed all of them and all cats and Mary were super kind to children.. We had a surprise of 5 kittens waiting for us, they were lovely, lively and fun. We had some busy days and some more peaceful. At the beginning we had bit of bad luck, as Lusia lost her tracker, which got stuck in a fence. So we were looking for the gps tracker and then for Lusia in the fields as she didnt appear right away. There is quite busy road and behind it are fields were are hidden hunters traps. Fortunately she wasnt in any and soon came home. We tried to search for timid Bilbush in the fields as her tracker was getting discharged and fed her in the fields. She came later on home and we were ale to feed her and charge her tracker. Agata was much in touch with us and helped us right away when needed, especially with the trackers. We would like to thank You for Your hospitability and generousity, and delicious dinner You did for us and nice and comfortable airbnb apartment You prepared for us.
Although requested, no welcome guide had been sent to me (it might be filled up soon), no local manual was waiting for me either ; useful explanations were given to me orally on my arrival. Jennifer answered some further questions later on by WhatsApp. To avoid further misunderstandings, communication is very important : a few days before beginning this short sit, one of my messages was partially answered. Result ? I arrived one day earlier than expected by the owners and obliged to drive back home, hopefully only 60km distant ! I stayed only 3 days with my own dog in this big house, an old farm restored with a lot of taste standing in fields. Before sharing a drink and a dinner, Jennifer and Jeff found time to show me some shops around, easily reachable on foot. A baker, a supermarket, a small pizzeria are only 10 minutes walk away. Having been told their Tibetan terrier could run after cars - there is a small road behind the house- I kept mostly Elwood indoors but I preferred to attach him on the terrace : the garden is not (yet) fenced. Nearby, an old disused train line has been transformed into a safe green lane only pedestrians and cyclists are allowed to use. An ideal path to walk safely Elwood in the morning, the afternoon or the evening. Perfectly trained this calm dog never pulled his leash and behaved very well. Being 10 years old, Elwood slept a lot, having the choice between many couches all over the house : he prefered obviously sofas, being allowed to jump on furniture. He vanished sometimes, hiding on a bed in the guest room upstairs. In the evening he often prefered the TV lounge to stay by my lap when i was watching a film or reading . He joined me once at night : i had left the door of «my» room open. I was rather surprised to find this light chap near my pillow when I woke up. I had not even noticed his presence ! My 4 years old mutt looked rather disappointed not to play with his new friend : Elwood never chased balls or tried to catch a stick. He left Tahoe drink in his bowl without protesting. Not at all jealous of his territory… Elwood ate his kibbles at his own rythm, not greedy at all. Distant the first day, he quickly adopted me, loved to be cuddled. Only 2 km away, Uzes historical center is easily reachable by foot or public transportation (the bus station is close). It’s much better to have a car to discover the region, many famous towns and villages such as Nimes, Quentin la poterie or Lussan, or the roman Pont du Gard, are less than 30km away. Thanks again Jennifer and Jeff from the warmth of your welcome. And to have accepted my dog : I miss so much Tahoe when I’m sitting alone…

My Frenchie Tilly has spent the week at Charlie’s Place while I was on holiday. I was sent lovely photos which reassured me that she was having the best time. They also bathed her and cleaned her ears. I was so excited to collect her. She …
Used Charlie's Place for an afternoon and overnight stay as we were going away and couldn't bring our dog. Has a great setup and made us feel that we were leaving our dog in very safe and loving hands. We received an update on how she was getting on whilst we were away and was told what they got up to when we returned. Our little dog was absolutely knackered the following day so obviously had plenty of activity and play time whilst she was staying. Would recommend to others and would definitely use again if required.
Absolutely amazing. Our Dog Lola was quite anxious around other dogs after and we had struggled to get her re-socialise her after lock-down. Toni and the team were brilliant and slowly and methodically introduced Lola back into a pack. She now loves being in and around other dogs. As a hunting breed she also needs a lot of stimulation and the games, challenges and activities the team do with the dogs has her fully engaged. She always comes back to us chilled and happy. Thanks very much. Highly recommended.
We've recently moved to the area and I was delighted to find Charlie's Place. Toni, the owner, has been nothing but warm, welcoming and accommodating since we met - puppy had a trial day and came home after a fabulous day of playing, socialising and muddy walks. She was exhausted! Pups is booked in regularly from January as I know she will be well looked after and have a great time. Toni is a tremendous woman and what a legacy she is building for her little boy in whose name this wonderful endeavour is being carried out.
Our dog stayed at Charlie's dog place for the day during half term. They did an excellent job taking care of her, and she had the best day. The team is quick to reply to messages and booking was easy, on the day there was a warm welcome and we felt happy leaving our dog. We got an update during the day, and at pick up heard a little of what our dog had been up to. An excellent personal service from a team who are all dog lovers. We would highly recommend.
