Elizabeth went out of her way to meet me at the airport,which was much appreciated.the apartment is very clean with all I needed for my stay. Mila loves to play morning and evening with her feather stick I loved watching her jump high in the air kept her amused and me.she sleeps most of the day.she is super cute and loves getting brushed.
House sitting for Kathleen was an absolute pleasure. She was incredibly kind, patient and accomodating and was very helpful when it came to taking care of Maya. She was on top of everything. We met up beforehand and she showed me everything I would need to know during my stay. Kathleen is a relaxed, thorough and excellent communicator. Taking care of Maya was a joy. She is such an easy going girl, very loving and relaxed. I thoroughly enjoyed her peaceful company. Incredibly beautiful and charming classic country cottage! I enjoyed every minute. It’s definitely a 5 star petsit which we cannot recommend enough. Moon is the sweetest cat you can every meet. She is an absolute joy and you will fall in love with her easily. She is very easy to take care, loves company and was always by our side. She will let you know when she wants to be brushed and to play with her toys. Farzad is a very friendly host and a truly pet lover, He warm welcomed us, very easy to communicate with and instructions were clear before our stay so everything went easy and smooth. The pet sit is a gorgeous beachfront apartment literally a few steps from the sea. From the living room and terrace you can enjoy stunning sunsets. The place is very quiet and walking distance to a nice beach cafe and direct access from the building to a mall where you can find anything like restaurants, shops etc We enjoyed so much the experience and to spend our time with Moon Thank you so much for your trust and the opportunity , we miss Moon already !
It was such a pleasure to pet sit for Anthea; she is such an open and honest host who welcomed us with open arms. Anthea provided all we needed for our stay and detailed instructions for all her animals (1 dog, 1 cat, 6+ chickens). We were new to caring for chickens; Anthea was more than gracious to help us with questions while she was away on holiday! Daisy and Stella were WAY TOO easy to care for...they let you know when it was meal time and other than a cuddle in the evenings, you almost forgot they were in the house. Nanaimo is a perfect base for day trips to other locations on the island and Daisy is a perfect car companion to show you her turf!
We absolutely enjoyed Fiona and Taff's company and wisdom. They took us on a brief tour of the area, before ending up at their current favourite pub/restaurant. They are also both ridiculously kind after we had got their electric recliner stuck open. Taff is superhuman and managed to fix it for us with ease. They made us feel so comfortable and at home with instructions for everything printed. Fiona's mother was also very welcoming and we felt surrounded by support when we had questions. If Seb's quiet snoring doesn't lull you to calm in the evening, the sound of Taff's projects gurgling at either end of the house will. Seb is a lover. He cuddled up to me in the morning while I was working (no issues with the wifi). Galloped after a tennis ball in their back yard in the afternoon, and tug of war/go fetch while we sat toasty in the lounge in front of a fire. We would get cuddles from from him in the evenings while we watched something on the tv. A reminding paw would be in our face when we neglected to rub his tummy. Fiona warned us not to let Seb bully us, and she was right. He was a little determined at the beginning, but we sent him back to his bed when he was being a bit much for us and was reformed soon after. We had no issues with him after that and he was the most easy and adorable model dog. Their home is charming, warm, and comfortable. Recommend you don't switch off switches that have the word 'fuse' on them... and duck your head while in the shower or picking up the mail. Both clearly our mistake and should not be a concern for you taking up this opportunity. You'll have an absolutely wonderful stay, meet some amazing people, and miss Seb pushing his head between your legs for attention. We hope we can visit them all again soon.
