Through the years with zeewoi, we have accumulated a preferred list of caregivers for Jack and generally don't stray from it but we had a sit come up and Mel responded; we had a great talk and although we don't generally use 1st time sitters, it felt very positive. Jack couldn't have had better care or companionship - he loved his walks and his time with her!!!!! We will definitely be reaching out to Mel again; she was lovely!
This was a very enjoyable sit. The welcome was very nice and I was collected from the train station, making the arrival very simple. The house is not far from the station, so is walkable with light luggage. I was shown around, met Buddy, Miya and Zazou. All of the necessary information was given and I felt very comfortable from the start. Buddy is a lively dog, but calm when it's time to rest. Zazou just needs the basics and Miya was self-sufficient, but happy to have a little affection at feeding time. Parks are right next to the house and the town centre is only around 20 minutes or so on foot. There are many dog friendly pubs and restaurants around and lovely buildings and churches to use or look around too. The only thing to be aware of is that Buddy and Zazou can be noisy in their area, the kitchen/dining room. However, if a desk is provided (as it was) in a different space, there's no problem at all. I'm happy to recommend this sit.
Staying with Penny and Eddie is such a pleasure. They are so easy to care for. Just be ready for lots of love from them both and especially Eddie. He just craves snuggles and will gently put his paw on your leg or arm if you stop petting him. They are easy to walk, too. Rob's home is simply beautiful. We sure enjoyed all the very nice amenities. The back yard/patio area is just like a luxurious resort. There is a waterfall, spa, pool and grill. We really loved staying there with the dogs. Hopefully, this is not the only time we get to go to Rob, Penny and Eddies home.
We had such a great time doing this house sit and looking after Frank & Eva. Leanne & Jaco's home is stunning, it was great to meet them beforehand too. Frank & Eva were super easy to look after, and had their own cheeky characters which made us fall in love with them! We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone, and would love to return for future sits. Thank you Leanne & Jaco!
Virginia and her family were wonderful! Their home is in a beautiful setting and my stay was quite relaxing and comfortable. I can’t wait to go back! Communication was easy and I could ask anything and would get a prompt response from across the world. Sophia is a total sweetheart! Absolutely perfect! Choco, although quite large, is very friendly and super well behaved. When he would get too excited I would just tell him to go find his ball. Azul is an adorable puppy. Both dogs love to play together. It was fun watching them interact and wrestle around. The chickens were also easy to care for and provided all the eggs I could want. Virginia went over everything with me and we ran through the chores before they left. I was also encouraged to contact her with any questions or concerns. It seemed like a lot to keep track of the first day or two but I easily fell into a routine and it was quite easy. I highly recommend this sit opportunity! It is close to the beaches, or you can stay ‘home’ and have a beautiful, peaceful setting on the back deck overlooking a river with ducks, turtles, alligators….
Orion is a lovable and playful pup who will beg for belly rubs! She is super social to people and other dogs and is always excited to make new friends. I had a great time staying with her while I was in town for the holidays. Judith was a welcoming host and easy to reach if I had any questions. The house is close to a great park for walks and hikes and not far from downtown if you want to explore the city. Thanks for having me!
We had a great time with Luna and Zeus. They are both very lovable and just enjoy being around you. They enjoy some sunning and playing in the back yard. Luna slept with us every night while Zeus wanted to sleep in his own place. They are both lap dogs and just love sitting with you while you are watching TV. The area was very nice, safe and everything a short drive away. Communication with the hosts was great and they made us feel at home right away. We would do this sit again and again and again.
