Her daily rhythm of going out exploring during the day and being home in the evenings really suited the cat, and there were quite a few photos of him cuddled up with her. Absolute perfection in a housesitter - if you have a chance to have Sam as your housesitter do not pass it up! Sam was so kind, thoughtful and sent the cutest photos of great times with our two dogs. They are not easy dogs and she seemed to make it all work so well. The house was absolutely spotless (cleaner than when we left!), bed stripped and everything was perfect. I am an EXTREMELY over protective Dog Mom to my 5 yo French Bull Dog Brodie. I have been searching for a dog sitter and trainer for him as long as I can remember, but I’ve never been satisfied leaving my fur baby until I found Happy Heart Pet Care. I will say I love to spoil my boy and only the best will do, however, this also meant he got away with a lot more behavioral wise then he should. So I needed to find someone knowledgeable that I could trust with my boy… I haven’t been able to find someone reliable that not only had the experience to help train Brodie, but that I felt comfortable trusting to care for him. Anna Marie checks all the boxes. She not only has helped with Brodie’s training, but I trust her to care for him as if he was her own. She is truly our dog nanny! Brodie loves Anna Marie and he has become such a better behaved boy since he was introduced to her training and care. Having a person who not only will train your dog, but love them the way you would is priceless. He respects her and she has a great relationship with my boy teaching him with obedience training and socialization. All the dogs she cares for are very well behaved so he has her pack to learn from as well. She also is a great resource for a number of suggestions and advice with regard to your pets health and well being. She is always the first person I call or text to ask any questions with regard to his health or needs, which is invaluable. She is one of the most kind and understanding people I’ve met in LA and I have no doubt I would ever find someone who cares or loves Brodie more as a trainer or dog nanny than her. Needless to say I highly recommend Happy Heart Pet Care. Your life will be easier with your dog if you use her, trust me!
So grateful to have found Happy Heart Pet Care--they are the best! I have an adopted pound dog who is super skittish (and bark-y) with new people and for the past 4+ years, has not been comfortable with other dogs. She LOVES Anna-Marie and Matthew and, after just three visits, she is already changing in wonderful ways--less skittish with new people and excited to play with other dogs, which I never thought possible. Anna-Marie is incredibly kind and accommodating, thoughtful about introducing new dogs to their environment, and thoughtful of skittish human owners, sending them photos of their happy dogs. I contacted them because of the consistently amazing Yelp reviews (a rare thing), without realizing they're on the west side of LA. My dog and I are way on the east side, but still travel there because knowing my pup is safe and happy with people she loves and who genuinely care is worth everything.
Matthew and Anna Marie are both so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about dogs. Their love for our 9week old Darcy is so heartwarming! I certainly had my concern leaving a young puppy with other people for a week, but Matthew and Anna Marie stayed very communicative. They also helped me on getting to know/adjust for a puppy. I could see Darcy was so well cared for through photos/detailed text updates. Truly appreciate their existence 💙
Anna-Marie took care of my 1 year old shih tzu puppy, Tater Tot, for almost 3 weeks while we were away. She was wonderful as she was very flexible with drop off/pick up times, and gave Tater Tot lots of love but also trained him! Tater is much more calm and well behaved now! He was brushed everyday, made many new dog friends, and enjoyed his walks. Anna-Marie updated us with cute photos and videos of him and we can’t wait to have him back with her again!
Where do I start? So thankful for Matt and Anna Maria. Matt has been a life saver with behavior modification with my sweet girl Cocoa. Cocoa is a hyper-vigilant rescue pit, with a few social challenges. Matt not only was able to with patience and professionalism, earn her trust, and help with her behaviors, he was also able to teach me, ways to manage when she and I are in the wild. He is very hands on, and teaches key fundamentals when handling a dog, and working with the world around them. I literally on multiple occasions have been able to handle situations without panic and stress due to Matt’s training. Cocoa also has been managing her stress better as well. You are equipped with the knowledge literally after just one session, the most rewarding thing is seeing the transformation in Cocoa. She has come such a long way. Happy Heart Pet Care has been a blessing. I highly recommend. 10 out of 10!
I highly recommend this company not just as a dog trainer but for all your pet care needs. They do training, dog sitting, walking, and even cat sitting. They are highly experienced and had my aggressive rescue dog showing improvement after just a few sessions! I’ve also used their services when traveling. We found Anna Marie on Yelp and trusted the good reviews she had- it was the first time we left our puppy with someone she didn't know and in another city. We loved Anna the first moment we met her, she was super kind, and you could tell she had a lot of knowledge and experience with dogs. We saw our puppy liked her from the very beginning and felt safe with her- we left her one full day and, when we picked her up, she was super happy and looked like Anna took great care of her. Sabina is a wonderful pet sitter. She truly loves and cares about animals. I trust her implicitly with my pets and my home. These days my work is taking me out of town with some frequency and it is a tremendous comfort to know that my cats are in good hands when I am out of town. I have called upon Sabina on numerous occasions over the years to care for my pets. Several years ago, I had a Labrador Retriever and when I was away she used to walk him day and night which allowed me to leave him at home rather than board him. A few years ago I rescued four small kittens and one of them needed daily medication. Sabina administered it when I was gone. Sabina is very trustworthy and shows good judgment. I know that if something unforeseen comes up, she'll contact me and that has allowed me to leave my pets in her care with peace of mind. I highly recommend Sabina and her pet service Pet's Nanny!!!
Sabina has been taking care our cats whenever we're away for the past five years, and being able to count on her has allowed us to travel with complete peace of mind that they're being well taken care of. She's a huge animal lover, and it was clear within minutes of meeting her that pet sitting isn't just a job for her, but she genuinely loves spending time with our cats. We get daily updates and photos, and our five cats love her just as much as she clearly loves them. Highly recommended!
The worst! Had an uneasy feeling from the moment I met Sabina. Her house and yard are disgusting. My dog smelled gross when I picked her up, and isn't acting like herself at all..very lethargic. Sabina was rude distracted and abrupt. She has a lot of things going on besides caring for your pet that seem to take priority. She said she would be open until 6, but then said I had to be there at 5:15. She had an appointment.
If you need and want a pet sitter who will love your pet as much as you do, Sabina- Pet's Nanny-- is your gal. I am the proud and loving owner of a quirky, nutty, deaf senior cocker spaniel-- my first dog ever, and adopted only last year. To say the least, I am a newbie when it comes to services for dogs, and my comfort level for leaving him is close to nil. Well, Pet's Nanny has changed all that. I was lucky enough to find Sabina through a friend when I needed to go out of town, and she not only walked and fed him, she understood and appreciated him-- AND gave me "New Mom" tips-- like keeping a throw rug under the sofa so he wouldn't slip on the wood floors and hurt himself while jumping off. I now have area rugs all over the house! I now call her regularly whenever in need. I am grateful to Sabina, and I know my pup is too. Thank you Sabina, for truly being my Pet's Nanny!
Sometimes I think my cat Boo Boo loves Sabina more than me! She has been taking care of my cat while I'm traveling for 3 years now. I always know my furry little friend is in good and loving hands with Sabina. The best!

Sabina was awesome...promt on our first meeting and very thougtful asking things I forgot about. I was sent pictures of my pets doing what they do best, and looking happy and very well cared for. One of mine needed shots twice a day....I had no worries which was refreshing given some past experiences. Our two pups were so well taken care of and Maiara provided the peace of mind so we could actually relax on our time away knowing that our dogs were cared for as if we were there ourselves. One of our pups is a senior (15.5 year old husky!) who takes medication and Maiara was amazing and patient with him. Senior pups come with their whole own set of special needs and she showed so much compassion and genuine love for dogs. First time Westcoast Paws client and the pet sitter was contracted for 9 days, 2x day, 30 minutes each visit. Wren stayed 8-12 minutes on average and did not show up one full day. She left the door ajar one time, and one cat got out. Luckily, she was able to get her back inside. I explicitly told her we have coyotes in the neighborhood, and on my block, four cats and one dog have gotten caught in the past 3 months. Per the contract, she was to feed the cats and clean the litter box daily, and make sure the water bowl was replenished. Food was set out, labeled along with measuring cup. She managed to feed one cat six cans of prescription food and a large bowl of prescription food, which was an insane amount of food for nine days - The floor around the auto water bowl was overfilled and water on the floor. Westcoast Paws promised pics and updates on how the kitties were doing, but I received zero pics and one update from Adam. Thank God for Ring video. The owner of Westcoast Paws, Adam, was a delight to speak to, but unfortunately, he has to bear some of the responsibilities. Dog walkers & cat sitters are entering our homes and trusted with our beloved pets. I dont believe Wren cared for cats. How difficult is it to clean a litter box.. I told her that one of my cats would NOT use a dirty litter box and that he would poop on the floor if the litter box was dirty. That's exactly what happened! Not once did she clean the litter boxes. We agreed that she was to come no later than 10:00 am and no later than 9:00 pm. She arrived after 12:00 noon and again 6:00 pm or 8:00 pm. One day she arrived at 12:00 and came back at 4:00 pm and the next day 12:00 pm! Never again. Never! If I could edit my review on Thumbtack, I would.
We had the pleasure of working with Adam and his amazing team member, Evelyn, for the past several months, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of their support. Both my partner and I have just had such a wonderful experience. Evelyn has been an absolute gem. Our dogs adore her and get so excited every time she arrives to take them out. She’s always on time, super reliable, and really takes the time to make sure the dogs are comfortable. Whether it’s giving them water, taking breaks, or just making sure they’re having a great time, she’s incredibly thoughtful. Esther took wonderful care of my two green parrotlets. When we got home they were so calm and happy. I could tell that they had been well treated. The cages, seed trays, and water were clean. The birds are not always easy to care for because they are little nippy escape artists. My husband and I were very pleased.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Adam and his wonderful team member, Evelyn, for several months now, and I can’t express how grateful I am for their help. My partner and I both suffer from chronic illness, and while we do everything we can to care for our two long-haired Chihuahua boys, Wally and Reishi, sometimes it’s just too difficult to take them on the long walks they love so much. Adam and Evelyn have truly been lifesavers. The boys absolutely adore Evelyn and are always thrilled when she arrives to take them out. Adam, the owner, and his team of reliable, responsible, trusted, experienced and loving pet caretakers are exceptional and the only petsitting service I employ and will ever employ. It's clear to me that Lady Baba, my 4 year old and very particular cat (with an even more particular owner), feels genuinely comfortable with them, as she actually let's them pet her and comes to greet them upon first introduction - which is very unusual for her. Adam arranges for an intro visit where you get to meet the sitter, introduce them to your baby, and show them around and walk them through the caretaking protocol. When I met Remal, I knew she was a winner from that very moment. Even when Remal wasn't available, Adam sent another INCREDIBLE petsitter, Natalia. And when neither of them were available (it was a very last minute booking and over a holiday weekend), Adam pulled through with another amazing and loving petsitter, Paula, yet again. Oh, and he is very accommodating to helping you out last minute. Haha. I couldn't recommend Adam and his wonderful and lovely network of petsitters at West Coast Paws more. Charlie is so helpful and takes the best care of pets. My cat Gnar gets so happy when she goes there and Charlie’s boarding is so helpful throughout the boarding process. I can’t say enough good things! It was very last minute and Charlie was able to take care of our cat with update videos and texts! She came to our rescue and took care of our pet at our home while we were away and even spent some time with her and gave her some good company. Charlie is very sweet and loves kitties! I’m excited to also set up boarding even when I’m not on a trip so my cat can socialize in a safe and clean environment. You can tell Charlie really cares about all animals and goes above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of and safe. My cat is shy so I was concerned about leaving him while traveling. Charlie provided a safe environment where he could get comfortable, roam freely and make friends with other cats boarding with her. From the video updates I received, I could see that Rocket loved his staycation and highly recommend Charlie's Feline Services!
Charlie is excellent! Nice, clean place where my cat could roam around or hide if needed (which wasn't needed). Charlie sent videos and photos each day and even gave me a personality profile check for my new cat as I get to better understand him. Renata and Rebeca are amazing!! We left on a 10 day trip and we were anxious about leaving our dogs. With Marge (our new rescue), the thought of boarding her was depressing since she was fresh out of the shelter and just getting used to being in a home again. Rio Pet Hostel provided a comfy, more personable alternative to boarding. First, we did a meet-and-greet where we met Rebeca, Renata, and their pup Mandy outside their apartment. We then went into their place so Kevin and Marge could explore the environment. Kevin and their dog Mandy immediately started playing (Kevin usually doesn't play) so we knew it would be a good fit. The apartment is extremely dog friendly, complete with a dog teepee, pet-safe balcony and lots of toys. We asked lots of questions- the dogs are never left home alone, and Rio Pet Hostel is comfortable administering medication (Marge was fresh out of surgery when we had to leave so that was key). They also love bringing the dogs outside to the dog park or beach, so they aren't just sitting around with zero stimulation. When we picked them up, they gave us 2 printed photos of our dogs from their stay and a little gift bag of dog treats! It was so nice and adorable!! They are extremely flexible with pick up/drop off times, and the ability to pay via venmo makes things super easy. While on our trip, we received daily updates consisting of amazing photos and videos. It was reassuring to see that we left our dogs in great hands. I've attached some of the amazing photos we received from Rio Pet Hostel while we were away. They are seriously stunning- I don't think we will ever do regular boarding again. Rio Pet Hostel also provides daycare, dog walking, and home visit services. Check them out- you will not regret it!
Rio Pet Hostel Hollywood is a GEM! I can't believe I am so lucky as to have found them. My dog Daisy loves them - she gets excited every day/time she comes over! And she is one tired pup when she comes home from all the fun she has! I always get adorable pictures and videos so I know what Daisy is up to, since I miss her when I'm away! The girls always work with my schedule to help me out, and I appreciate them so much. I hope I never have to find another dogsitter ever! Rio Pet Hostel is NUMBER 1!!!!
I love my pup Anya so much and would only leave her with people I really trust. I’m so glad I found Rio Pet Hostel. Renata and Rebeca are so sweet with her and are great about sending pictures, videos, and text updates. Anya is a bit timid around other dogs and I’m glad we have Rio Pet Hostel to look after her when I’m away and also give her a chance to socialize with other dogs in a safe environment.
This place is AMAZING! I’ve had my little pup stay with them overnight for one day all the way up to 9 days when I went out of town. The ladies that own this business are nothing short of living miracles! They have accommodated me on short notices and when travel plans changed. They keep in direct contact with you through your pet’s stay with photos, videos, and text updates. They even gift you a little bag of treats when you come to get your little one. My pupper loves it so much there that she doesn’t seem to want to leave when I come to pick her up! 15/10 will use this place again! No need to look any further than Rio!
Renata, Rebeca, and Mandy took fantastic care of our dog, Dipper, with all their hearts, bringing him in like one of the family, if only for just the weekend! Everyday was filled with photos and videos of Dipper popping up on our phones for our own peace of mind. Dipper had a great time and came back to us as his happiest self. They even gave us a professional photo of him and a treat to go! 5 stars is not enough!

These girls are literally my lifeline. My dog (Maus the grey Whippet) is my most precious thing in my life and as I go away for long stints for work (most recently over a month) I need to have piece of mind that she is being beautifully cared for. Maus can't wait to go back because it's way more fun with them than with me!!! They take her in as part of their wonderful family and for that I am eternally grateful. Their prices are so reasonable and what you get is literally beyond measure. Maus always comes home looking happy, healthy and content. I couldn't recommend the Rio pet hotel highly enough. I love the quality of service here. They have cameras in their play areas so that you want watch your dog playing with the others. They're good at matching dogs by their personality. Our puppy was still in the early stages of socialization, but I've been able to see him improve so much under their care. You can also see how excited all the dogs are when the staff interacts with them. It's easy to get a report card during the visit and they even include pictures and videos. They also do day care at a reasonable price. I will definitely continue to use them again when we travel in the future.
Our dog loves this place. She is so excited every time we come and the entire staff knows her by name. It’s farther for us then other doggy daycare’s but has been worth the drive to always know that my dog is being well taken care of!
This is the third daycare I have tried with my dog and is, by far, the best overall experience I've had. I am never worried when he is there. I know he is safe and cared for (and getting belly rubs!). I trust they will call me when they need to, and they are seriously the only team that has gotten my dog to sit for grooming! The staff is so kind and the owners are very present. I appreciate so much that they have cameras (my first daycare did not and it was horrible in the end). I'm thankful every time I take him there and he is returned to me happy! I am so glad he has friends there- both canine and human. Honestly, I don't know what I would do without them.
Not great service lately, watching on live camera. My dog was running around among other dogs, in a room for hours. There was pee and poop on the floors, dogs were nervous and seem to be stressed. My dog was returned back with dirty poop covered paws and no apologies were expressed
Have taken their my dog for grooming there it was not expensive nice experience would take her there again always hear nothing but good things about them they have multiple dog treats you can buy and they also have flyers for love their treats for My Dawgs 🐾🙏💙🐾🙏💙 …
This has been by far the BEST boarding experience for my 2 fur babies! They're so kind, super easy & flexible when booking a stay. From the owner, Roland, to all of the staff members, my dogs feel loved and safe. I can tell from their moods when I pick them up. The location is always clean and I can monitor my babes, 24/7 on a web cam. This gives me so much calming relief when I leave them! I'm so glad a friend recommended them to me!
My dogs loved Pet Rush Inn! Why? Because they have a SAFE, enclosed environment to play non-stop, fun activities, loving attendants - almost better than home! The remote camera is also great when you are on vacay. Daycare and grooming can be a godsend! The owner, Rene, loves taking exceptional care of the animals in his care and it truly shows! My dogs gave it 8 paws up!
I love Pet Rush Inn! I first found them online when I tried to find a daycare for my new dog from the shelter, Belle. I was nervous because she has anxiety, but the staff handled her so well! She has opened up so much more and is more confident! The staff truly care about pets. They have been so great about tailoring to her needs and kept me posted about her when she was first boarded. I feel comfortable when my baby is in their hands. Special shoutout specifically to Kevin and Priscilla!
So happy we brought our dog Coffee and cat Moose here. They are so awesome with animals. So patient with dogs that have anxiety being around too many dogs - they gave her lots of human love instead. Moose was happy also. Highly recommend these guys! They treated our babies with lots of love!! I also loved they report card, photod and videos!!
Highly recommended! Mark is great with dogs - walks and training. He really helped my dog learn how to not pull on the leash and to interact with other dogs safely. He has been very consistent with dog walks and has worked with my ever-changing schedule.
We traveled from San Diego to LA for a concert and planned to leave our two pups in our room. Although, our hotel allowed pets they did not allow us to leave them unattended. Mark was very flexible and accommodating on such short notice. We met him within 30 minutes from contacting him and felt like we could trust him to watch our babies. During their time with him we received updates on how they were doing. Our babies returned with happy tails. We will be reaching out to A Big Dog House whenever we are in LA. Thanks Mark!
I highly recommend Mark for all pet needs. He is not just a pet sitter or a dog walker, but a respected animal behaviorist who came recommended to me by a fellow bulldog owner with years long experience with him. From the moment I met him, I could tell that he had a special conversation going on with animals. My dog was super calm hours after meeting him. As a single bulldog mom, the thought of putting my baby in the hands of rotating strangers, or programs where my Butch would just be a number, was painful, so meeting Mark was a huge relief. Mark has such love and respect for animals - and they love him right back! I trust Mark fully, and I rest assured knowing that my baby is in the best hands possible. I have been a repeat customer, hiring Mark's services twice a week, and my dogs always come home happy and tired. Mark is a Zen master when it comes to dogs - his calm and warm demeanor instantly put our chi/JRT mix at ease. In less than a week, Mark had her walking with the pack, and we came home to a stress-free and happy doggo. Mark has a gift with animals, and understands what makes them tick.
