Housesitting for Anne and Nath was very nice. Me and my partner really enjoyed the house, the beautiful garden, and the friendly animal companions. All communication was super clear, we were very happy to watch their house and would love to do it again sometime.
Jane and John are a lovely couple. We enjoyed a pleasant chat with them the evening before they left and they made us feel very welcome. Their home is cosy and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. They thoughtfully made space in the fridge, our bedroom, and the bathroom for our belongings, which was very considerate. Their cat Benson is a delight—easy to look after and quite affectionate once he gets to know you. Though he can be a bit shy initially, he really enjoys being petted and scratched. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend!
Jay is a great guy and my communication with him was very easy and pleasant. Winston and Luna are wonderful dogs who very much wanted my attention and affection which I gave abundantly and with pleasure! They definitely wanted to sleep with me so be ready to share the bed - or listen to door scratching. They are real sweethearts, but they are not calm or mellow to my way of thinking. They are very much on their guard at all moments whether indoors or out. Winston is constantly on patrol and Luna is not far behind. Be ready for very loud, disturbing and sometimes startling barking whenever they perceive a person or noise around the house (which happens frequently). Jay told me about this during our video chat, but I didn't grasp the intensity and duration of the barking and how it disrupted most opportunities for peaceful relaxation in the home. Another issue for me was that the general condition of the house and the level of cleanliness was not up to my standards (things that can't be detected in photos.) I guess I'm different from the previous sitters since my review is so different, but reviews mean nothing if they are not honest and, hey, this is just my opinion! To each, his own.

Thomas and I immensely enjoyed minding Woody. He was so excited to see us the moment we walked in, and insisted on sleeping in the bed with us from the first night. He was affectionate and cuddly and a great dog to hang out with. He was easy to walk in the nearby park and along the nearby beach as he is calm around other dogs. Kate's house was exactly as seen in the listing - bright, modern, clean and warm. Kate's communication when we had questions before and during the sit was prompt and helpful. Overall a very good sit experience!

Kelly has pet sat & looked after our dog Charlie and Cat Mimi on many occasions now ,when we have gone abroad and she has been great. You can clearly see her love for our pets, she looks after them so well and always sends us updates which gives us great peace of mind while we are away. Couldn’t thank Kelly enough. She’s helped me with training my three year old dog and also walked my dogs while I was away. She’s amazing with dogs and just a lovely person. Myself & my new puppy Phoebe attended her puppy class and it was amazing. It was great for Phoebe to do some training around other puppies but it also gave me a lot more confidence with the training. So all round it’s great for puppies and the owners. I couldn’t recommend the class anymore! And for the price aswell the service you recieve for it is second to none!! 🩷
Kelly was looking after our two greyhounds, when we were away. We have been impressed with her since the "meet and greet" day. She has a love and good hand for dogs and these two are not the easiest to handle on a walk, when cat is in sight. The communication was great, frequent updates via whatsapp. We were so happy to have her walking our dogs. And the doggies were happy too, which is most important! :)
Kelly has been walking and caring for my little Jack Russell rescue Lily for the last year. She has also done training with Lily. Kelly has been absolutely amazing with my Kenzie. She has taken her for weekly walks and also house sitted her whilst I was away. Kelly is highly professional, she’s reliable, honest, punctual and loving to dogs, you can see how much she loves her job by the personal updates you get but also by seeing her feeds on insta and Facebook. Kelly does not pressure dogs, when she changed to a van it took many weeks and treats to get Kenzie into her van (she’s a bit funny about new vehicles) but once she had there was no looking back for Kenzie and loved her walks in the hills and dips in the water. I would highly recommend purple woofs 😀

Kelly is amazing with dogs, a wealth of knowledge & experience. Kelly has been amazing support with training our Cockapoo puppy. Long lead has been a game changer for us on our walks. All the training has really helped with the relationship between our puppy & children. I would highly recommend Kelly!!
Highly recommend Kelly from Purple Woofs. My puppy Bella means the world to me and I do not entrust her care with many people but Kelly put me at ease from the moment she met Bella. Kelly took the time to meet and greet Bella to make sure she was comfortable to take her on walks, Bella was exercised as well as socialised appropriately. Kelly is kind, caring and so patient with dogs. I know bella loves her time with Kelly as the only words she consistently responds to is “Kelly is coming” 🤣
I was here for a corporate volunteer event. The grounds are lovely and I took three larger dogs for a walk, one at a time. All animals are well cared for. If I was ever to foster adopt a dog or a cat I would come to DSPCA.

My dog, Loki, loves his stays at the DSPCA Pet Hotel. The facilities are clean and spacious. The staff are trustworthy and reliable. They always take excellent care and ensure he gets plenty of walks and attention. There's a vet nearby, just in case anything ever goes wrong. I'm always reassured that my dog is safe and in good hands here.
They ask lots of questions so that everything goes smoothly. You need to bring your pets food for their entire stay. And you need to show proof of vaccines too. Everything is clean and well maintained. They’re good at marketing and will have you buying your pet treats in the reception area.
My visit to DSPCA for corporate event was exceptional. Spending time with the dogs was incredibly rewarding and inspired by Organization's dedication to animal welfare. I had a great time.
Our dog stayed with the Pet Hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. He is a bit introverted, very shy with new people and a bit anxious to say the least so we were anxious about his stay with anyone who wasn't a family member or friend of ours that he knows. He got on great overall and looked like he was enjoying his 1 on 1 time from photos we got. We requested updates on his stay and photos and the staff were great to get some lovely photo album worthy photos and they asked for tips to get him to eat all his food as he would tend to not eat it all when he is out of his normal routine. Noteworthy he has allergies and takes a tablet for those also daily. Overall we are happy he was well looked after by experienced professional and kind staff and of course that there are vets on site if any issues. I was overly anxious to leave our fur baby anywhere else to be honest except the DSCPA. I volunteered with their shelter dog section one time and was so impressed with the volunteers and their passion, love and care for all the doggies seeking homes. Will definitely use the pet hotel again in future!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS HERE!! We left our fur babies, Daisy and Dug in the DSPCA pet hotel for the weekend of our wedding because we thought we were paying for the best place possible and wouldn’t need to worry- how wrong we were. Throughout their stay we asked for pictures but received none which raised some concerns. When we picked them up we were told there were no issues whatsoever and they had a great time. Upon getting them in the car, we noticed Dug’s eye was filled with blood. Then when we got home we saw cuts/grazes on both Daisy and Dug’s elbows. We took them to the vet for treatment and they said it looked like they scratched against something. When we contacted the hotel, they proceeded to tell us they didn’t know when it happened and tried to blame the dogs by saying they played very rough together. Two dogs that live together all their lives and play every single day without issue. They are very clearly neglecting the dogs that are in their care if they can’t even notice when they are physically injured. We will never be leaving our dogs with them again and would discourage anyone who is considering leaving their dogs here.
Would like to thank everyone at the DSPCA per hotel for looking after our fur baby while we were on holiday. She enjoyed her stay at the hotel. It was great peace of mind to know that she was in safe hands while we were away. 😊 …
Great staff. Dogs have plenty to do all day long and are well looked after. My dog loves it! A huge benefit of this pet day care is the fact there is no need to book the space in advance, and they are open 7am - 7pm, which is very convenient in case of last minutes arrangements.
Superb place! Our dog had a blast at his week long stay. Girls looked after him very well, agility course included in stay helped us with walk trainings. He had field fun, made new friends, came back happy and clean. Already booked another stay. 6 minutes drive from Citywest/Saggart.
The doggy day care facility is good for the price point; my main issue is with the grooming service. I included screenshots of the messages since I did not take pictures at the scene. As a former employee I had no idea of the state of the grooming salon on my first day; I was asked to groom three dogs using a hair dryer, the blades were rusted and blunt and there were no scissors. I sent all three dogs home after apologising to their owners; I suggested that they ask for a refund. It seemed to me that the owner was to make some ‘easy’ money. I strongly suggest you find another grooming facility; BIFE, Cathal Brugha and DFEI offer free dog grooming from September to May. I suggest going to any of those if you are looking for a good cheap grooming for your dog.
Amazing service. My dog Lucy and my sisters dog Lily have an amazing time in the doggy day care. They come back happy and exhausted from hours of play, smells and fun. Would highly recommend to any dog owners looking for this service. They have a grooming service also and were so flexible to fit us in. Torsha has been a pleasure to deal with and very professional and kind.
Teddy had an amazing overnight stay, I received plenty of videos and pictures of him settling in and playing, I’ve never seen him happier which put me totally at ease as this was his first time away from us. Staff were excellent and so kind to Teddy, when I went to collect him he quite literally did not want to leave and lay down refusing to budge. We look forward to having him stay with you guys again soon 😊
While it was a little difficult to find the location first time, don’t let that bother you. They are amazing. Our dog spent several days there between Christmas and New Year. Púca had a wonderful time and was very well taken care of. We got an amazing feedback form to let us which activities she did over the few days. We have booked her back in again in a couple of months time.
Despite other reviews saying this place doesn't exist, I can verify that it does indeed exist. I visited with my Dog for their open day and then booked her in for 7 nights while we were away over New Year. The staff are amazing. The facilities are amazing. They kept in touch with us and sent videos and photos while we were away. The location is in the hills behind Saggart/Rathcoole and is very accessible. We are very happy and can't recommend this place highly enough. Its a badly needed service in the area.
We had our 2 crazy newfoundlands in for a groom before Christmas and we were so impressed with the facilities that we booked Our 8 month old British bulldog puppy skye in for a week while we were away over new years. She had the best time and we got regular updates and pics which put us at such ease knowing how well looked Fter she was. She made puppy pals and got tucked into bed at night. Skye also had a cherry eye at the time and was due to have surgery the following week so needed drops everyday and it was no problem to the team at charlies to add that to her care. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
We have been dropping our dog Lily up once a week while wer in the office working. Lily has a ball! She comes home exhausted from all the fun she’s so happy there. We are delighted we found such a great place for her to go. Highly recommend !!

Our dog Bowie loves the girls at Doonane, he never wants to leave! Emma, Holly, Barbara and the team do such a great job, they take great care of your dog while you're away. The daily 'pupdates' are fantastic, we see him having fun in the fields every day, chasing balls and running around. The girls always go the extra mile with him, and Doonane is a home from home for Bowie. I wouldn't leave him with anyone else now, the care is beyond anything I expected! Don't hesitate to leave your dog in Doonane, you won't regret it!
We started Toto in Doonane in Feb 2024 after a bad experience in a different kennel. He absolutely loves his stays with his buddies in Doonane. Emma, Holly, Barbara & all the girls are great with him & care so much for all the dogs. We don’t ever need to worry about dropping Toto off he loves it there. The daily updates are great to see him with his friends 🐶
We love Doonane. Rua has been going for almost a year and he is always so happy and excited to stay! He runs in the gate and doesn’t look back! Anytime Rua is in Doonane, I know he is getting the best of care. Emma, Holly, Barbara, Caitlin and the team are all so kind and give us lots of updates (and do cute photoshoots on special days like Valentine’s Day and birthdays). We are so happy we found Doonane!
Our little Maltipoo, Bert, has stayed with Emma and the team in Doonane twice and he just loves it. We have peace of mind knowing Bert is having a great time. Doonane is absolutely a wonderful place for Dogs! Our dog Riley has been going here for year's, everytime we arrive he can not get through that gate quick enough!! From daycare, long stays and grooming, everytime it is perfect! The care and attention they give all the dogs is amazing. We would be lost without you! Fiona made everything seemless and easy from the first phonecall. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with and apart from her fabulous manner with people and dogs she is so skilled and fantastic at what she does. My dogs were so engrossed with Fiona we were able to see fantastic results by the end of the first session. Fiona is prompt at coming back to you and shows up on time and sends on clear and comprehensive instructions. After the first session she was kind enough to send on helpful notes and resources and videos. I cannot recommend Fiona highly enough. Thank you.
Not reliable. Poor communication. Sent few emails, few weeks ago requesting dog service, I then received a reply few days later asking for more info about my dog. I then replied straight away but never received any response since then. I sent a couple of more emails after that, asking for an update but got complete ignored. I don't expect the service to be available for me but I would like to at least receive a response, so I can look somewhere else. I wouldn't trust leaving my dog with this company/person, due to the lack/poor communication.
Super service. Fiona came to the house and in no time had my French Bulldog doing things we struggled to do. Everything is explained in detail and we were given a total different route to training Larry and he picks up instructions now almost instantly. Fiona has made the next steps in training Larry so much clearer, quicker and easier. Excellent job I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.

I was nervous about leaving my baby Bobbi for 13 nights as she had never been left without us before and is very needy. Peter from the very beginning was so reassuring and asked me so many questions about her when first booking in which really put me at ease. He sent me regular updates and pictures throughout my holiday which I loved. Peter is a cat lover and that’s exactly what you want for your baby. You can trust him completely. This was the first time we used this facility, and will defo be booking my two cats in with Peter again. My female cat in particular was so relaxed and laid back while staying there. My tomcat was a little more reserved, preferring to stay in bed all day, typical male lol! They're back home and settled in already, usually from previously boarding cats, it would take a couple of days for them to settle. Goes to show how relaxed they were with Peter. He is the Irish version of Jackson Galaxy lol, true cat man! 🐈

Where to start, we found Peter and Little Lions and we went away for two weeks with peace of mind knowing that Smokey and Bandit were in good caring hands. Peter is amazing he keeps you updated on their moods eating habits and even checked in on them after we took them home. He really cares about all the cats in his cattery. We are already planning a trip away next year because we know we can go and enjoy a guilt free break thanks to Peter.
In October 2023, we visited Peter's 'cattery' to book our cat for the Christmas week. Contrary to what's portrayed on social media, the reality is starkly different. The 'cattery' is a shed with stacked enclosures on one wall, lacking natural light and proper ventilation, a detail conveniently hidden in his photos. Despite our reservations, and with no other options due to fully booked catteries, we proceeded with a full upfront payment, an unusual practice compared to only deposits required elsewhere. He might tell you he lets the cats out in his yard, but in our case, we told him not to do that, as our cat is not comfortable with strangers or other cats and scares easily. This is also a very unsafe practice. The enclosures vary a lot in size, Peter said he only had 4 bookings at the time for the week we needed, and he’ll give us one of the big enclosures. This was important to us, as some of the enclosures are way too small, no cat should ever stay in those, and you definitely need to see them before you put your cat in there. A few days before dropping our cat (late December), Peter got in touch to ask what our dates were again and if we had made the payment. All of that was confirmed and payment made the same day we visited his shed in October – obviously, he keeps no records. The day before going on our Christmas holiday, we took our cat to Peter’s house. Peter's demeanor raised concerns. On arrival, he appeared nervous and admitted to overbooking, claiming the shed was overcrowded, even having to resort to housing cats in his spare bedroom “because he was very scatty” - This rang serious alarm bells for us and he got very annoyed. Peter was reluctant to take us to the shed with our cat. When he eventually did, as soon as he opened the door, we were greeted by a very strong smell of cat waste. He showed us the two empty large enclosures and said those would be taken by two cats the day after (despite having said we were going to get one of the larger enclosures) He said the only space he had left was a tiny cage (because that’s all it was) on the ground behind the door. I had to literally get on my hands and knees to look inside. There’s no space in there for a bed and a litter tray. Total animal cruelty, pure and simple. Don’t be fooled by Peter’s apparent love of cats and how nice and well looked after his cats might be, it is clear he does not care about other people’s cats. He’s clearly in it for the money, cramming cats in everywhere and asking for full payment upfront. Your cat will be in a hellhole for his/her entire stay. Needless to say we took our cat and left. We didn’t say a disrespectful word to Peter, but on our way out he was abusive and threatened us, saying “don’t piss me off, you wouldn’t like it”. Despite requesting a refund several times, we received only insults and hostility. He very quickly deleted those messages, but we have copies – available on request. It's evident that Peter's priority is profit, not the well-being of the cats entrusted to him. His claims about his enclosures being comparable to DSPCA's are far from accurate. I strongly advise against leaving your cat here. Go view the place and judge for yourself. What appears okay in pictures is very deceiving, as it turns into a dark, poorly ventilated shed once the door is shut. And you will not know if you’ll get lucky and get a bigger enclosure or one of the horrid holes. And whatever you do, DO NOT pay in advance. Be cautious about the true conditions your pet might endure.
We have been using pet sitters for the past 5 months or so a few times a week and they have been brilliant. Jessica our main sitter is outstanding and really looks after the dogs so well. We had an issue this week whilst on holidays abroad. A family member suddenly was unable to mind our pets and this happened while we were away. We rang Mike and he immediately at no notice at all sorted a live in sitter for the last few days of our holiday. James came to the house and took over and we couldn’t be happier with the care he gave. We are so grateful for this wonderful service. We would be lost without Mike and his team 🙌🙌

Amazing service! We had Valeria staying with our three dogs for just over a week and she treated them so well. They were really happy and relaxed when we came home after our trip. She communicated any concerns with us and sent us regular updates! We will be using this service again in the future. It's a great feeling knowing your pets are taken care of while you're not home.

From the initial enquiry call from Mike, I was instantly relieved we had another option for our two dogs, one being reactive, kennels just isn’t an option. From the initial video call with our sitter, Chrissy, to get to know her, we knew our dogs were in really safe and capable hands. From the moment she walked in the door our dogs liked her. She took the time to ask about their habits and routines and what they liked. Sending photos and updates several times throughout the weekend where they looked lovely and relaxed. As a bonus our house was also looked after while we were gone. We couldn’t recommend this service enough and Chrissy for being brilliant! 100% recommend and will be using again, thank you for taking care of Scout and Pepper!
Very happy with the service we received. Davi the sitter kept in contact with us throughout the 9 days. Cats looked happy, healthy and importantly relaxed on our return. Davi sent us videos so we could see them and see that they were relaxed while we were away. This was our first time using Pet Sitters Ireland and we will definitely book again when the need arises. A real sense of relief to know out beloved pets are safe and in good hands.
Amazing service! Our little dachshund Daphne is nervous of strangers so we were extremely anxious to leave her while we got married. Michael the owner is so lovely and friendly, he really put us at ease and arranged everything for us. Daphne stayed with Paul & Jane who looked after her like she was their own dog. She settled in so well with Paul & Jane, it shows how gentle and caring they are towards animals. We got regular updates and they even travelled to our wedding ceremony so Daphne could be part of the day. It was so wonderful to have her there. We cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done for us and Daphne. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Daphne in your care again. We will be highly recommending you to everyone we know.
I had a wonderful pet sitter called Emilia. She was absolutely fantastic so kind to my cat Ozzie. She did an amazing job and is a credit to the company. In the run up to organising my trip the owner Mike and anyone I spoke to in the office were so nice and helpful. I am always nervous to leave my cat as he is an older cat but I wouldn’t trust him with anyone else. I got updates and photos and felt totally at ease that he had the best care. Highly recommend using pet sitters. They are very professional and responsible. Furthermore the open communication is excellent . I felt very comfortable leaving my two rescue dogs in their care. My dachshund Danann took part in the Nose of Tralee 2024 as the Kildare Nose and it’s been the most fun experience! Kate from Pet Sitters is a pleasure to work with and sent us out some lovely treats and a beautiful sash for Danann to campaign in! We had so much fun making videos, taking pictures and writing up a blog for Danann during and in the run up to the final of the competition! Kate kept the excitement and going for all of the Noses from beginning to end of the process! We had so much craic and would definitely recommend that our dog/cat loving pals apply next year!
Would strongly discourage using this service. I had a ‘meet and greet’ with a sitter who was booked to come and look after my pet. I didn’t hear from her on the day she was supposed to come nor was a pet care journal entry completed. I text to see if she had any issues and received no response. On the following day she contacted me directly to ask if her boyfriend could use my parking space when ‘they’ came over to walk my dog. I asked her again how was he previous visit as I hadn’t heard anything. She proceeds to tell me she never came because she had to go away and gave me the name of the girl who came in her place. I was not informed by anybody at the company that a stranger I had never met had been given the key code and access to my property. They had gone in and taken my dog out without me knowing and ever having met him. They had no instructions as to what he needs, where his lead etc. And food were. It was absolutely horrendous to think of a stranger entering your home and taking your dog out without your permission, never mind how stressful this would be for the dog. The manager eventually ‘text’ me an apology and said he had not thought to inform me that the sitter I had paid for was not available and he had supplied access instructions to another person without my knowledge/consent. I would not trust this service again. Have had to change my door code as I have no idea how many people know my access details now.
A kennel should be a place that takes care of your pets and not just a place where they sleep while you are away. You trust a kennel with the well-being of your dogs and expect them to be taken care of in case they become ill. Both of our dogs had infections when we picked them up. The owners refused to acknowledge that this happened on their watch and took no responsibility. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional!
Please do NOT leave your dogs here! I picked up my dogs, both with eye infections. its week three now and one is still. But the worst part was that when I gave the owners, Brendagh, feedback she denied it and basically accused me of lying! They are very unprofessional. I do not advise this place at all.
When I leave my dog Hunter with the kennels he is always looked after very well. He always is a happy dog going there. They send updates of how he is getting on, it's a home from home for Hunter.

Had left our pet at this place. We were updated daily but would have been better to get the updates proactively rather than us asking for it. Drop and pickup was very smooth. The vaccination cert for your pet is a must before you drop your pet.
To say we were nervous leaving our 7 month old puppy at a kennels while we were away for a weekend is an understatement, but the team here were fantastic. Mabel walked in without a second thought, was very clearly well cared for during her stay there, and was very happy and full of beans at collection time. Next time we have to go away, we know she'll be well cared for by the team here
Our little bichon has stayed here on a number of occasions, Alan and the team always look after her very well and she is absolutely full of beans when we come to collect her. I didn’t realise till recently that they do grooming too, so now I’m going to book her in for a groom with them. Thank you for providing a great place for our pets. I would just recommend adding a few pictures of the kennels on the website, as we are not allowed to go see them.

We left our dog for a week! We came back to pick him and he was filled with scratches at least 10, one of them is on his eye! Our dog is so sweet but he is a big dog 40 kilos so for him to be that hurt it means he had lots of fights. Beside this he was very very dirty and he came back very sad! it took him 3 days to become his normal self! Never again! This place might has the potential but lacks the care!
I have left my dog (Woody) here for 2 years now, at times he stays there for 2 weeks. I know that I will have no issues while travelling with my dog and I trust the people working there in case anything happens (although nothing has ever happened to Woody). My dog goes back home happy and healthy! Totally recommend it!
I won't be leaving my dog here again. We left our golden retriever archie here for one week. It was very affordable with a handy location but once we got archie home we noticed the fur on his tail had been cut (usually it's big and bushy) but the kennels owners never said a word to us about this. Also, his poo's contained large amounts of hair for a few days. Archie is a divil for eating things he shouldn't but clearly he wasn't supervised for long periods to the detriment of his own health. We also noticed a dog grooming room at the kennel which was full of hair and appeared to have not been cleaned for years. We suspect archie managed to get into this room and eat large amount of hair. We haven't had these issues at any other dog kennel we have used. I won't be using Pine forest again.
In short, awful. If you care for your dog, do not use this place. Our dog was left in for 2 nights as our usual spot was unable to take her. From the first meeting, the feeling was off. There seemed to be little to no interest in the dogs. The pens in which the dogs are kept are bare concrete. We had packed our dogs bedding etc but we were told that this was not wanted by the owner and that she uses newspaper and cardboard for them all. The dogs are given free reign to run around an outside grass area together and play which is one plus but the vibe given off is that the business owner does not keep an eye or really pay attention to them. The dogs are let out in the morning and brought in for the evening into the horrible bare concrete pens. Our dog is on a specially controlled diet due to allergies etc so we provided the food for her. When we collected her, the food was not touched. Not even moved from where it was placed when she was dropped off. When asked why the food was not used the reply was "I forgot which one she was" and "I didn't think it'd matter for two days", the dog has her name on a tag on her collar! She has returned exhausted and dehydrated. The level of care is basically non existent. The place is a joke. Will never return and will actively tell others to not go. Please, for your dogs sake, do not use this place.
Would not recommend. One of our dogs came out of the kennel having been bitten by another dog. Kennel owner hadn’t noticed. Also lost his dog collar which they also hadn’t noticed during the week and was eventually found in the field. When I asked how they were getting on during the week I got a 2 word reply. We’ve had dogs in a few kennels over the years but won’t be going back to this one.
I was a little concerned about leaving our dog in kennels as we usually have her minded in a persons home where where she is the only dog. But she was in great form when we collected her and she mixed very well with the other dogs with lots of space to run around. Its also very reasonably priced. I would use them again.
I left my labrador retriever here for a week in November. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My dog was so depressed when he came home, and the smell off him was so bad. He had a really bad tummy when he came home so I had to bring him to the vet. He has to take medication for a week. The vet also weighed him as she thought he looked very lean and it turns out that he lost weight while he was there. It was very upsetting to think that he was not well looked after while he was there.
We just wanted to share our experience at Pine Forest Boarding Kennels: We were very happy and relieved that they took us without a booking. As we struggled to find anywhere with open spaces. However, when we returned we were not expected (even though we had agreed on the time) and we found our puppy dirty, skinny and smelling of urine. They didn’t even know for how many nights he stayed when we tried to pay. My puppy cried and slept in minutes of getting into the car. Then he woke up for a minute or two, cried and slept again. The poor dog was exhuasted and underfed. It took us days to clean him up from the smell after multiple washes. In a day or two he started to settle into his routine, but still he was refusing to walk for long on his walks (he wanted to go out just refused to walk for long and wanted to be carried) In a few days he became ill. He started coughing up mucous, kept sniffling and was so weak he couldn’t walk and fell off the couch. So we took him to the vet and they told us that he had gotten kennel cough. So I am overall very disappointed in my experience at Pine Forest Kennels. After 10 days back home he is still recovering; taking medicine and skipping the walks for now. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I’m writing this review so I can help others to make their own decision.
Our Labrador spent 5 nights with Andrea at Pine Forest Kennels. He had a great time out running in the fields and playing with the other dogs. He came happy & relaxed.
I went to Rabbit Rooms for bonding services when my rescue rabbits began fighting. As a novice bunny owner I felt very out of my depth and anxious of how to best help my buns. Fiona has been a fantastic resource and support throughout the process. I couldn't speak highly enough of the care, understanding and guidance given. Following her directions I was able to adapt to give Hiccups & Bob the best set up to preserve their bond. Often information available online relates to caring for a single bunny, bonded bunnies might require a somewhat different approach. I went from feeling like I would have to re-home one of my boys, to seeing them the happiest they'd ever been. If you can give your rabbits this chance at rebonding please do because you never know what can be achieved with the right support. Hiccups and Bob are now living their best lives thanks to Fiona 🙂
Fiona was wonderful. Amazing with rabbits and helped me through the whole bonding process with my 2 bunnies. I would highly recommend this business for any rabbit needs including bonding rabbits so they can live together happily, and boarding if you are going away, fiona will look after your rabbits as if they were your own!
Rocco, our dwarf rabbit, was back for his hols in the Rabbit Rooms Small Animal Boarding.again last week. Fiona and her lovely family couldn’t have been kinder, giving advice before about what to bring to help Rocco settle, doing a good groom and nail clip for Rocco and sending photos and texts to let us know he was well. It’s a pleasure to do business with The Rabbit Rooms and with Fiona and her family. Rocco will be back in his fave rabbit hotel again in July. And Rocco spent two weeks in the Rabbit Rooms in July/August 2024. He is always relaxed going to Fiona’s and come back in great shape. Very happy with the time and attention she gives him and with her extensive knowledge of all things bunny!
Fiona is amazing at her job! We had a few issues before trying to find a second bunny to bond with our rabbit. After we found a rescue rabbit that we fell in love with we really wanted to take him home but had concerns as we would be attempting to bond two males. Nearly everyone told us this cannot be done and it’s very rare if it is. When we brought our second rabbit home they didn’t really get along, we were so desperate to make it work so we took them to Fiona to get bonded, to our surprise when we went to collect them after their bonding time was up they were cuddling in the one carrier together!! they’re now inseparable and we couldn’t be happier we chose Fiona to do it for us. Seriously changed our lives and certainly Richards (our first rabbit) who was in serious need of company and Lionel who we took in from a rescue who needed a brother to play and cuddle with. I seriously cannot recommend fiona enough! Now instead of separate play times and cages to separate them, they run around together all day and can play and sleep together, it’s heart warming to see them both so happy in each others company.
If you're contemplating sending your bunnies for bonding with Fiona, do not hesitate, because you will not regret it, she is brilliant! She is honestly a Rabbit expert. She bonded our two female buns for us and we couldn't be more grateful. To see them now, the best of friends snuggling, is something I did not think was possible as we had some fights in the past. Fiona works miracles and is not only a rabbit therapist but a human one too because she will reassure you through the whole process! We needed Fionas help because Bonnie was a rescue bun, aggressive and fearful of other rabbits. We thought we made a mistake getting a second rabbit because they would attack each other through the cage. Fiona was able to work her magic and they are now inseparable! Our Bunnies have stayed with Fiona and family for several years now. We'd never cope without her. They are elderly bunnies at this stage and we know when we leave them with Fiona that they are in expert hands. She loves and cares for them as we do. Brownie (11yrs) was a bit 'off' this Summer and Fiona was quick to act. She was great with administering medication and seeking advice from our fantastic vet at Palmerstown Veterinary. It was a tough Summer with the heat at The Rabbit Rooms I'm sure, but Fiona and her fabulous team went to great lengths and kept their visitors cool. Thank you Godmother Fiona! xxx Brownie & Oreo
Toffee our pet rabbit was so well cared for and enjoyed his first stay at The Rabbit Rooms. He was in the company of lots of other rabbits,hamsters and guinea pigs which I wad told appealed to him and he showed great interest in these other furry friends. I am already thinking of prebooking him over the Christmas period. I would highly recommend The Rabbit Rooms for boarding your pet.
I was so delighted with The Rabbit Rooms. I had been nervous to leave my bunny anywhere for two weeks, but Fiona completely put my mind at ease. She sent me regular updates on him including photos of when he’d be spending some (supervised) time out in the garden, and he even got a pamper session while he was there! Will definitely be using The Rabbit Rooms again.
We have used the rabbit rooms a couple of times already and cannot recommend it enough! Fiona is really great with them and they come back very happy and stress free. The online booking system is really handy to see availability and the online portal gives the chance to give any needed information about your pets! The updates are really nice to see how they're getting on when you're away. Thanks Fiona!! :)
Fiona was incredible all the way through with our three bunnies. Chaos and Tiny, both male and Penelope, our female, went in to fiona to be bonded. After just four days of intense work with Fiona, our two males who used to fight regularly are grooming and sleeping beside each other. All three bunnies are loving each other’s company and none of this was possible without Fiona. Great communication all the way though as well as easy, clear instruction for when you pick them up and take them home. Drop off and pick up was as easy as could be. Can’t recommend Fiona’s service enough. 10/10.
