I appreciate that she came a little early so we could go over the things our cat needed and how to operate various aspects of the house and yard.

This was a fantastic pet sit looking after cute Ollie and handsome Finn for 17 days. We arranged this sit about five months in advance. Leading up to the sit we touched base a few times so that we all felt assured that everything was fine on both ends. Just before I started the sit, Kurtis kindly offered to drive to pick me up in the town I was staying in, about 30 minutes away. That was super handy! so much faster adn easier than taking trains to reach their home. Thanks Kurtis! When I arrived, the whole family made me feel really welcome. Sarah showed me all around the house; how to use all the appliances; location of everything; how to feed the pets & walk Ollie, etc. They have a lot of cool, nifty high-tech kitchen appliances, while I really enjoyed using. They also told me to eat/drink any stuff in the kitchen and supplied me with espresso coffee during my stay. Their house is really big, spacious and comfortable. I felt really comfortable and at ease there. They also let me use their electric bicycle! That was reallly fun and super-handy to get to/from teh train station for the few days i went into Amsterdam. Without the bike, it's a 20-25 minute walk to the station, so I was very happy to have a bike to use. Thanks so much! Abcoude town center is super adorable- set along a curving canal. It's like a postcard! Of course the best part was looking after cutie-pie Ollie and beautiful Finn. They both slept with me at night, which was wonderful. They sometimes wrestled around together. I played with them both each day with their various toys. And Ollie is great to walk with. Of course he stops to sniff and pee a lot, as dogs do. But he can walk really far and generally walks at a pretty fast pace. Sometimes he gets a crazed energy dashing back n forth while i pretended to chase him. Fun! Thanks so much Krugers!
