Kay
Yup, fell in love with Chewy. It was easy to fall. Chewy is intelligent, resilient, calm, affectionate, playful & has a pet parent who is clearly exceptionally devoted to his well-being. You will fall deeply in love w: Chewy too. BTW - He will guide you on his walks. Pet parent Kay has a warm heart, a comfy, clean home, & is outstanding with communication.

The lack of transparency by the pet owners concerning Milton the cat was concerning. Milton is an aggressive and destructive animal. His aggression is usually related to food and his constant desire for more. While cooking for myself or preparing his meals he would jump up onto the counter/stove and start eating the food - spraying him with the water bottle did little to deter him. I had to eat in the bedroom because of this behavior and keep door closed, otherwise he would harass me by trying to eat my food. I was bitten on 3 occasions, scratched on my hand to the extent my skin was pierced and bled while I was preparing food. Milton ate some pieces of a foam mat, and got into some crackers, as a result he vomited all over the living/dining room and the bedroom I slept in. I was mopping up constantly. He also ruined some of my clothes by clawing at me during food preparation. Lastly, I’d like to note that Milton is a very vocal animal. He was constantly caterwauling throughout the day and night - usually long before his automated meals were available and also AFTER he had eaten his meals. He can and will do this for hours. Also, he would wake me up in the middle of the night or early morning (6 am) by beating and scratching on the bedroom door while simultaneously caterwauling. To add to my misery the electricity was cut off to the house by the electric company during my last three days of the sit, a fitting end to six weeks of hell. Side note, I requested a table lamp prior to accepting the sit, the pet owners agreed to provide one, but I arrived to find that instead of a table lamp, they had placed a child’s toy usb lamp in the room that was totally useless. When you turn your back you don’t even notice it was turned on. I was completely disappointed and perplexed as to why I had been lied to regarding the provision of the lamp. I really needed that lamp and would have not agreed to the sit had they not promised to provide it.

Sasha has a lovely temperament and is impeccably behaved. She clearly enjoys company so a house sitter who spends plenty of time at home or with her when out and about is ideal. There are plenty of places locally that welcome dogs and many of them know Sasha personally.

The house is stunning with a beautiful conservatory where I loved to spend most of my days with her. The owners Maggie and Gareth are lovely and gave me detailed and clear information and are excellent communicators. The setting is a delight. You can hear birds chirping all day long and the garden is beautifully presented and relaxing.

I thoroughly recommend house sitting here.

We got to stay with all three pups….Bailey and the grand pups Apple and Olive. They are all 3 so easy, low maintenance and SUPER cute. They love their walks in the park and sun bathing when the weather is nice. When it snows they all wear their jackets and it’s so adorable. The neighborhood is very nice with lots of walking paths and trails and the home is spacious and inviting. We got to spend a couple of days with Steve and Pam prior to them departing and they are both super nice and welcoming folks. We would love to come back for another stay when the stars align.

We really enjoyed our ‘sit’ at Kari & Aaron’s beautiful home. WuTang and Beast are a pleasure to take care of – both are very sweet. We spent a lot of time throwing the ball to WuTang, taking her on walks and grooming Beast (with the loudest purring imaginable) as he enjoyed his meals. The house is lovely, the bed was super comfortable and had great space in the kitchen to hang out. The neighborhood is wonderful – with lots of sidewalks and parks in the area to visit with WuTang on her walks. Thanks for allowing us to take care of your wonderful pets!

Leena
This was such a wonderful house/pet sit. Leena left clear instructions. Her home is lovely and welcoming. She communicated easily even while out of the country. I was a little worried as we were in the middle of a huge snow event in the Sierra Nevada’s but Leena also let me park my car in the garage so getting in and out was a little easier. I would do this sit again in a heartbeat!

Sadie is such a wonderful companion. She loves her walks and also loves to hang out with you while you’re working. We took a number of day trips to other spots around Lake Tahoe/Truckee area and she loves to be in the car. She is easy around other dogs and environments . We even had lunch outside a cafe that had heaters. She just snuggled up by my feet and enjoyed the bowl of water they brought her. She is just a joy to be around.

Please do consider this sit. You will not be sorry you did. It is truly a mini-vacation.
