María was an ideal house sitter for us. She was easy to communicate with and took great care of my cats. I could tell when I got home that their needs had been met consistently. In addition, María left our home spotless, which is such a gift when returning home after a long day of travel. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family ❤️🙏❤️

Megan
Megan & Jon have a great location just outside of Asheville. It's close, but in the country and it has well water, which I like. Megan was wonderful, she kept in touch via texting & answered all my questions. The chickens were chickens, easy enough to feed, they mostly need supervision, they gave me a lot of fresh eggs. Scrappy was adorable, an absolute pleasure to take care of! She's a super sweet, affectionate cat & fun when she goes into play mode. I was even visited by the elusive Jazzy 3 times. Also, they gave me two tickets to tour the Biltmore grounds, I appreciated that.

I agreed to a very short notice sit to look after Lola the very delightful, calm, loving Westie, 9 of the 10 felines and the tank of Guppies. All of the animals are easy going with their own personalities and characters. I found all of the cats at different times wanted to connect, Lola bless her is in between sleeps near or around you. Feeding them all in the utility will be easier when photos are put above their stations. The animals generally just sit by their bowls waiting they are very good. Lola slept in a ring fenced area in the room I was allocated, she is no bother, she just settles down no noise, she is a special girl. The area is very peaceful and quaint lots to do walks, Bicester, Oxford and country villages.

David and Leah
Reuben is an intelligent, active and well trained dog. He's a pleasure to be with. He has good recall and generally won't go farther than he can see you. He enjoys long and short walks but he really needs mental stimulation as well. He knows several tricks and commands which he enjoys doing. He's food motivated! Make sure to have some treats in your pocket and you can't go wrong. Take care when crossing the road as he isn't traffic smart. It's best not to let him out of sight when going into a shop as he can get anxious when you "disappear". I took him on a train ride outside of London as well. I asked somebody to hold him while I went into the loo. Within a few seconds of me closing the door he started to howl. The other passengers took it well but he obviously doesn't like these disappearing acts. He was comfortable in the tube. Wherever we went people would comment about what a handsome dog he is - expect many requests to pet him. David and Leah are generous and easy hosts. The apartment is cozy and easy to keep clean. It's well equipped to WFH. West-Finchley is a suburban, green area. It's easy to imagine being in a forest when walking the Dollis Valley Greenwalk, minutes from David and Leah's home. If you want a long walk it's easy to go all the way to Hampstead Heath. Reuben loves to swim. His coat is surprisingly easy to keep clean. He slept quietly in the bed each night. If he wants to go out, he'll ring a bell. It's a few minutes walk to either West Finchley or Central Finchley tube stations. If you are offered this sit don't hesitate to take it.

Otie is a very well mannered, delightful little dog. The condo is very clean, in a lovely location and will be especially delightful in the summer on the lake. The home owners are very welcoming and friendly.

Alli and Chris are two of the most wonderful people I have met in my life. They’re warm, open, generous, and as soon as I met them the evening before the sit, I sort of hoped they’d decide not to leave and I could spend the two weeks walking Mia and hanging out with them.

Mia is a housesitter’s dream. She’s well behaved with good recall, she’s excellent with other dogs and humans, and just a pleasure to have around. It’s been three weeks since I left and I still miss her!

The house (I won’t talk about it too much because the family are moving soon), is amazing and not done justice by a camera. Having renovated it themselves, I’m confident that any home that Chris and Alli take on will have the same gorgeous style. The space is bright and modern and has all the amenities you could need. It’s an easy 20 minute walk downhill into Farnham - a quirky, historical town with lots of independent businesses.

This house sit was truly a pleasure! Jenny, went out of her way to make us welcome. She introduced us to Rockingham; the coffee shops, butcher, baker and grocers, as well as her favorite dog friendly beaches and nearby shorter walks.

Jenny’s home was both lovely and spotless; our guest room was very comfortable, the living room was cozy (she has a good movie collection), the kitchen was bright and spacious and the patio, overlooking the pool, was a perfect spot for relaxing with a coffee or tea or wine depending on the hour.

As for Jenny’s furry and feathery family: Charlie the parrot, is quite a character with his little Charlie Chaplin waddle! We found him very entertaining and to our great surprise, he whistled complete tunes ! Chedda the golden retriever, is a beautiful, lovable and gentle dog. He is happy to simply sit near you, but happier if he gets a cuddle and happiest if he gets a treat! A rescue dog, Chedda can be fearful of big dogs, but Jenny gave us tips and we spent many hours walking with him on the many beautiful beaches in Rockingham, as well as other long walks overlooking the ocean. We walked Chedda in the mornings and then spent afternoons exploring nearby heritage towns; Guildford, Margaret River and Fremantle etc. This was a great location! Just 30 minutes from Perth by train, where we discovered galleries, shopping and King’s Park, as well as local markets in the beautiful coastal towns north and south of Perth. A memorable and happy house sit! Jenny and her family were delightful!
