I really enjoyed my sit with Allie, Joe & Tammy. I was welcomed super warmly by Tanja and we spent the first night together, and so the animals had some time to warm up to me. The cats are very chill, and Allie is just the sweetest, most gentle dog. She needed about a day to really get used to me being her new caretaker, and does well with some firmer directives. I thoroughly enjoyed our walks together in the beautiful surroundings just by the house :-)
Staying at Antoine and Bernadette’s home was such a fantastic experience! We arrived the night before and they served us a delicious dinner and charcuterie out on the balcony with the most beautiful views of the French countryside. Nina, their cute and very good dog is sweet and easy going, requiring very little to be happy, she loves to spend time outside, being playful and to be chased around the yard! Our stay was absolutely the best we could’ve hoped for with our first sit in Europe. I would highly recommend these three for anyone looking for a beautiful country escape. It’s quiet and peaceful, with a very cute Friday market to get all your groceries in Simorre near by. Thanks Antoine, Bernadette and Nina for a great sitting experience.
Jason & Arlene's home was a dream, they were so nice and welcoming to sit for. Furthermore, they went above and beyond to accommodate a communication issue, given that I had lost my phone in remote location prior to the sit, and even gave me an old phone to use until I got a new one. The house is amazing, and the pool is so great to enjoy the sun and a swim. Roxy and Hunter are incredible. They are so sweet and loving, will stay by your side ready for pets and Roxy will snuggle near you during bed. They have great, quirky personalities and make the funniest expressions. It was so nice watching tv or reading with them, they are truly the best companions for this! I highly recommend sitting for Roxy and Hunter if you get the chance!
We recently had the most amazing experience at Emily's house- the place was so clean and tidy. Our visit took place during winter, so we couldn't take advantage of the pool or kayaks, but we were touched by the kind gesture of our hosts to offer them to us. Our son, who is still talking about it, was absolutely over the moon with the wide array of kids' toys available. It provided him with endless hours of fun and entertainment, making our stay even more enjoyable. The thoughtfulness of the hosts to provide such a welcoming environment for children is truly commendable. Being so close to the water was great. I woke up early one morning and strolled down to the waterside to meditate in the beautiful surroundings. You'll need a car if you stay here. We decided to rent a boat in nearby Brooklyn and afterward we had oysters at the Oyster Shack. Lastly, we cannot forget to mention Fox, the lovely cat who kept us company throughout our stay. Fox was the epitome of friendliness and affection, making us feel like we had a furry companion during our time away from home. Our son particularly adored playing with Fox. We would wholeheartedly recommend this house sitting opportunity to anyone lucky enough to have the chance.
