Part of the reason we joined THS was to live life like a local. And this sit certainly didn't disappoint. Caroline and Marcus's house instantly felt like home and we were welcomed by everyone in the friendliest village we have ever come across. Flynn, the majestic Lurcher was a joy to be around; he is super chilled and easy to look after. We loved taking him on walks in the green countryside, which was right on the doorstep. It was lovely to meet Caroline and Marcus; they are both wonderful company and we hope to house sit again for them soon. Thank you so much for a memorable stay.
Sitting for Ruzbeh was a great experience! He was very responsive and friendly, Mimi is a easy going and very sweet cat, and the apartment in a great location in Berlin!
We had a lovely week caring for Penny. Vitoria is a great host, really friendly and welcoming. The home is a lower ground floor apartment. It is spotlessly clean and the bed is really comfortable. There is a nice, dog secure garden for summer days and to allow Penny some outside space. The location is fantastic, easily walkable to Kentish high street, and also to the local tube station with a direct line to Euston station. Penny is adorable! She is crate trained and sleeps through to 8am. She walks well on her lead and is really friendly to other dogs and humans!. Penny loves to play, particularly 'fetch and 'tug-a-war' - be prepared to fall in love with this little four-legged cutie!
I had a very nice stay in David and Elizabeth's house. Bella was lovely, very well trained and she guided me round her walks. The house was warm and comfortable and it was great to share a well cooked meal with them all. Thank you for letting me look after Bella.
Cancelled by house sitters day before we were due to arrive due to a family emergency.
Singapore is one of our favourite places so loved the opportunity to do a housepet sit there looking after Marilyn, Fran and Ollie's cat, our first overseas housepet sit. Fran and Ollie made us very welcome in their condominium with its resort facilities, 50metre olympic pool (Edith enjoys a daily 1-2 km swim) ad other pools and a gym, close to shops, hawkers markets , close to the MRT and bus stops to easily travel around. Marilyn was an absolute delight to look after and play games with her........something she loved doing constantly. Her special game is fetch and we have never seen a cat (only dogs) fetch something you've thrown and place it back in front of you to throw again for her to fetch. Very clever girl. She also loved her cuddles or just simply nestled up against you whilst watching TV. Although we were only looking after her a few days, we missed her when we left. Doing a housepet sit in Singapore was different to a visit/holiday to Singapore as one is living there as a local with the added benefit of looking after a furbaby, in this case Marilyn. We still saw some sights that we had not seen before, but the majority of time just enjoyed the facilities of the condominium and doing daily things as a local would do. We did not get the opportunity to see U2 Joshua Tree Tour in Perth Australia (our hometown) but did get to see them in Singapore along with all the other Singaporeans that attended. Attending a concert in another country than one's home is another memorable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed this housepet sit ad look forward to taking care of Marilyn again in the future. It was also very memorable, being the first of our overseas housepet sits , it has given us the appetite for more overseas housepet sits.
