Marc and Laurence are wonderful people. Rarely we find someone as kind, generous and welcoming as they are. We spent some time with them before and after the housesit and we had a great time, enjoying delicous dinner they prepared for us.

We really enjoyed the house and especially the garden where our kids played nearly all the time. Pets vere easy to care for. Lili is a playful young lady. She has got so much energy and loves to cuddle or fetch. She does not require walks but she appreciated them very much. She was a bit too overwhelmig to our kids (3yo and 1yo) though, luckily house has two gardens so this was not an issue after all.

Cats spend a lot of time somewhere outside but in the evenings they usually came for some cuddles too. They were ok with the children. At first we were a bit afraid to give medicine to Marcel however we quickly used to it, it was not a problem at all.

Vivoin has a bakery, the nearby Beaumont is bigger and has also cafes, supermarkets and petrol station. We took our kids to Le Mans by a train. Vivoin can be a good base for car trips into Loire chateaus or Normandy.

Overall we had a great stay during this housesitting. Thank you Marc and Laurence for this amazing experience!

Heather
Thomas was so enjoyable to look after. He followed me around in the house and outside in the garden, talked a lot, loved being petted and asked very politely to be let out even though he had a cat flap! He slept on the bottom of my bed and sat beside me on the sofa when I watched TV so we spent a lot of time together. He was a wonderful companion.

Heather was very hospitable and her home is warm and comfortable with beautiful views of a loch and the countryside.

Orkney has very interesting archaeological sites and in spite of the bad weather I was able to travel around by bus to a couple of them.

A great cat, homeowner and sit. I’d love to see them again some day.
