Juliann sat for our house on dog, Harper, from January 7 to January 29. We had a great feeling about her from our initial conversation and an even feeling after the experience. We knew Harper was in good hands. Juliann brought her dog, Riggs, and the two became fast friends. When you’re on a trip, you want to enjoy without having to think about home too much, but you worry about your beloved pet. Juliann did a great job of sending pictures and that’s so important on a long trip. She kept us apprised things we needed to know, but just enough. The big test was a arriving home to find Harper thriving. When we’re traveling, in her house is the best place for her and Juliann made that effortless. I rated her five stars out of five because the whole experience was positive. We’ve already booked her for a couple of future trips and look forward to continuing our relationship with Riggs and her.
Brendan was a terrific sitter! I came home to a super clean house and a very happy dog. I would not hesitate to have him sit again. Brendan sent great pictures of Rosco having adventures with him and I could tell Rosco really liked him. Brendan was super attentive to Rosco's quirks which I really appreciated. His communication was great for arrival and departure and I really appreciated his flexibility.
Sometimes you have the good fortune of meeting your house-sitter, rather than just having them arrive after you leave and depart before you return. Such was the case with Michael and me and it turned out great. I was able to go over everything with him in-person before I left and get to know him a bit over dinner and breakfast. What a great guy! He communicated well both prior to and during his stay. He enjoyed my cat, Bosco, and showed genuine concern for his well being. He read all of my house instructions before arriving and followed them closely, and he even sent me some photos after he left. Everything went extremely well. I wouldn't hesitate to have Michael again and I can strongly recommend him to anyone else looking for a responsible and capable house-sitter. You might even consider inviting him to show up early so you can enjoy his company for an evening.
Irina an Keagan were amazing hosts and our experience with them was the perfect way to kick off our THS journey. They were very responsive throughout the sit and reached out not only to know if Ace and Nezzi were okay, but to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The apartment was super modern and well equipped with amazing internet (perfect for remote workers). We were aware that Ace had separation anxiety and that he needed some extra care, but Irina and Keagan had made an amazing job at creating a system that works for him, so looking after him was not a problem at all. Ace, you were the sweetest and silliest boy and a great companion around the woods. It was a pleasure to see you performing your little tricks. I think it's time for us to tell you that when we made the chicken toy 'magically dissappear' we were just putting it in our back pockets. Nezzi, the skinny legend, you were the best behaved of the 4 of us, super gentle and quiet, yet warm and friendly. Thank you for hanging out with me while I work everyday. We were impressed by your hearing, because the tiniest movement of the treat jar would summon you from wherever you were hiding. We wouldn't hesitate to sit Ace and Nezzi again, specially if Keagan let's Irina get a second cat :P
