The Craig’s truly have the best space. Their beautiful home is in a friendly neighborhood conveniently located near Boston and many other local attractions and parks (LOTS of great green spaces). Anything we could possibly need was within a 5 minute drive. The Chat down the street is a world class dive bar! Certainly the best part of our stay was Tilly. She is the sweetest pup we’ve had the privilege of watching and we couldn’t love her more. Mason was sure we always had everything we needed and was full of good suggestions. Apply for this stay with confidence - it’s the best!
This was our first sit and it couldn't have been better. From the first video call with Diego and Tyrone we knew this would be a really good experience – their hospitality exceeds everything one could ask for. We arrived a couple of days earlier, and started slowly gaining Fig and Carmela's confidence. In the beginning they were quite shy, but little by little we gained their trust and then they always came happily for food, treats and cuddles. Diego and Tyrone welcomed us as if we were life-long friends, we shared good chats and meals, and they really went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable at their lovely flat. The flat is very bright, clean and comfortable, and it was lovely to watch the sea, mountain and sun from the terrace.
We had a really nice time with Lola, cuddling and watching TV on the couch with her during the rainy days, or going for a walk with her in the forest or visiting the beautiful villages in the area during the sunny ones. We missed her the minute we left the house. Dorcas was very available when we had questions or wanted to share some news during the sit. Her house is situated in a really quiet area, with very few neighbours and the forest at the doorstep. Spending a few weeks in this the environment is so restful !
It was entirely our pleasure to cat-sit the very smart Monty at this beautiful, spacious modern home on a lovely golf course, a short walk to beaches and short drive to the picturesque Barwon Heads and Geelong. It didn’t take long for Monty to get familiar, ask for cuddles or food and just hang with us, but of course, while feigning indifference. He certainly takes the prize for the first cat we’ve met that is trained to ‘roll-over’! Sandy and Gary are the epitome of Aussie hospitality, making us feel welcome immediately. We enjoyed their gorgeous, landscaped back garden (Sandy’s creative work) which backs onto the golf course and loved the birdsongs every day. They are very easy going, so organised and chilled in spite of their holiday hiccups. So glad we got to experience and make the most of living on a golf resort complex. The location is a great starting point for excursions along the great ocean road etc
It was a pleasure looking after Ellen’s pets - Marlow is a lovely companion, fairly independent but loves a cuddle and a rub, all the cats were very loving in their own ways, some took longer to warm up to me but all worth the wait. Ellen and her family were also excellent hosts, they made sure I had everything I needed and even arranged lifts for me to go see Blarney castle. Her kids were very welcoming with a greeting card for me too expressing their thanks for my staying there to look after their pets. An excellent stay in a very homely home and quiet area.
I'll start with Ralph, because he is absolutely gorgeous! He has eyes you could drown in and such a gentle nature. He adores belly rubs, fetching the ball and swimming, the more the better. Forget Google maps, Ralph knows the scenic routes to the city centre, via his favourite places and walks really well on the lead. He has a lot of energy and it's lovely to see him bouncing around chasing the ball. He's clearly been well trained, he has good recall, is very responsive and well mannered. He's great company and really chilled around the house. He can get a little anxious if dogs are bothering him when out and about, so you do need to be conscious of what's going on around you. Onto the humans.... Anna and Anna were very welcoming and friendly, they clearly adore Ralph and it was nice to meet them and have a chat before they left. The house is lovely and the kitchen diner and newly planted garden is a great place to relax with Ralph. Their home is really well situated for a bit of sightseeing but far enough out of town to be nice and quiet. I would absolutely recommend this sit
