Samantha
I had a lovely stay in Sam and Crispin's light and airy modern house in the up and coming village of Northstowe, not far from Cambridge. Everything was very comfortable and user-friendly, including an incredible giant TV screen - a novelty for me that I loved watching in the evenings.
I really enjoyed the company and chats with Frida the cat, who very much knew her own mind (as cats usually do!) and had great communication skills! Caring for her was very straightforward - she'd potter about or sleep in the day, and loved to come onto the sofa with me for a snuggle in the evenings.
I didn't venture much into Cambridge itself, though it was very easy to get to. I very much enjoyed exploring the villages and countryside nearby, and can also recommend the Northstowe Tap & Social, a friendly bar/coffee shop/bakery just up the road with great coffee.
The welcome pack had all essential information, and Sam was very responsive and helpful with all queries.
I'd highly recommend a housesit with Sam, Crispin and Frida.

Barbara and Udo have a little piece of paradise in a small community. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, giving me the option to stay in their main house of their newly built beautifyl chalet beside it which was free at the time. The chalet had beautiful views of the Tamar river and a fresh, relaxed feel with wallabies, birds and pademelons. surrounding. Their place is a little out of the way so a car is needed but such a nice spot. I was traveling alone so appreciated them introducing me to locals, and neighbors who invited me hikes, Christmas lunch and games nights.

Lucy is a rescue so was a little nervous at the start but became soon became my shadow, hanging out with me and providing company. Lucy even left me a thoughtful present in the fridge for Christmas day.

Barbara and Udo, thankyou for putting yourself out for me. It was lovely getting to know you and a privallege to look after your Lucy, your home and chickens.

We had such a happy time looking after Paddy & Barney - they are absolutely gorgeous dogs - lovely temperaments, affectionate, well behaved and just great company - we loved both of them immediately. They have very different personalities - Paddy is cheeky, a bit insecure - likes a lot of attention and stays close to you, whilst Barney is much more chilled out and confident and also follows commands more quickly unless he’s seen a bird or caught a scent he likes! Their personalities really show up when you play fetch with them which we did every day - Barney nearly always caught the ball but never got to hold onto it as Paddy would race in and nick it from him every time, would then drop the ball a few feet from me only for Barney to then pick it up again to bring it straight to me.

They are very easy to walk - both can be off the lead and will come back when called - but not always straight away - if they’ve caught a sniff of something interesting then they will run after it and only come back when they’ve explored every last drop of it! But they will always come back. I very quickly got used to them dashing off into the long grass but always returning to continue the walk after a few minutes. I let them have their heads and as a result walks were relaxing - the dogs having a very happy time running about freely and me following in their wake enjoying them beautiful Dorset countryside with us all meeting up at different stages on the walk and I my having to call and whistle the. In at the end to go back home.

Robin & Fiona are lovely people and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful and very comfortable home. And their garden is a paradise - my favourite moments were at the end of the day relaxing on the patio with the dogs at my feet and just soaking up the beautiful surroundings.

We highly recommend this sit and look forward to being able to look after paddy & Barney again in the not too distant future.

Marion
Our stay at Marion & David’s home in Stoke Fleming was very pleasant (notwithstanding the unpredictable English weather 🤷🏽‍♂️😉). Our furry charges, Shadow and Skylar were lovely, affectionate & well behaved Labs… we all got along swimmingly!
Marion is well organized and an excellent communicator, prompt to respond to our many questions ahead of the sit (we were arriving from the US.)
The house is lovely, huge-but-homey, well appointed. It was great to drop at the Green Dragon (village pub) for a pint now and again. Dogs are welcome everywhere and there are beautiful walks & hikes around. Historic Dartmouth is just a few miles away and very much worth a visit or two. Thanks for everything Marion & David!

Ray and Jill
Ray and Jill were the perfect hosts! They were welcoming from the get-go and made me feel like I was part of the family. Both of them showed me around the area and made my trip absolutely memorable. The home itself was a perfect oasis, especially their seating outside which I enjoyed with a glass of wine. And their sunsets are unforgettable! Now for the star of the show, Pivo. The most adorable dog that was hard to say goodbye to. He is well behaved with lots of character, and those puppy eyes are so hard to say no to!! Though it was a short sit, with Ray and Jill’s help I was able to see everything Lake Geneva has to offer and fell in love with it. I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone and hope to sit for them again and again if they’ll have me!

Leah
We enjoyed hanging out with Poppy and Budder for our Thanksgiving Break! Leah was great at communicating and let us know about her fur babies' habits. We loved that the townhouse was right in the middle of Hillcrest and North Park. There are several cafes, restaurants and grocery stores nearby and the area is very walkable. We had no trouble finding street parking near the townhouse upon our arrival and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood was very quiet at night.
