It was an absolute DREAM to spend time with cutie Claude in Edinburgh! He is very independent (likes to go outside and explore for several hours) but also certainly loves human attention. A few times a day, he would come over, sit on my lap and start kneading my tummy or just take a nap. SOOO cute! Elizabeth and Jennifer are also the loveliest people whom I had the pleasure to meet! Elizabeth had kindly printed out a super helpful guideline for the petsit including Claude’s daily routine, garbage disposal information, etc., and they also gave me amazing recommendations for things to do in Edinburgh. They were always incredibly responsive to messages and helpful with any questions I had. The apartment is also...WOW. Elegant, grand, yet very homey, located in a central part of the city. I simply could not have asked for more!! Thank you again Elizabeth, Jennifer and Claude for having me and making my time in Edinburgh something I will cherish forever. Take care, and I hope to see you again sometime soon :)

Sarah
I had the loveliest chapter at Sarah's with Bella at Wapping Wharf, falling in love with both Bella & Bristol!
Sarah was a wonderful host & introduction to the place - she took me out for delicious Mexican when I got there, and was so thoughtful and communicative etc, it all flowed easily.

Sarah's beautiful, cosy flat is in an amazing location, right on the water, so lots of great walks around the river, close to a great hub just round the corner with plenty of independent restaurants & shops in two Cargo ship blocks.
Bella is an absolute darling & delight 💗 She's not able to be left alone, which is a more hands on/intense dynamic than a lot of other pets, but Sarah so kindly accommodated this with putting me in touch with a couple of her friends who were more than happy to take Bella for me when I asked, and even a dog-sitter for a whole day once so I was able to go do all the dog-free things in the city. Also there are also so many dog friendly pubs and cafes to take Bella along - be sure to bring some treats to keep her happy there long enough to enjoy your cuppa! 😆
An absolute pleasure & joy - I'd come back anytime! Thanks again Sarah :)

Pudge and Lola were both easy to care for. A short walk from Battersea Park, which is one of London's best parks.

It was a pleasure to house sit for Kelly. Titus is an incredibly sweet pup! I felt fortunate that our timing aligned while I was visiting home to wrap up my semester and help Kelly's wonderful family while away for a long weekend. Thank you again, Kelly. I hope you had a wonderful trip with peace of mind that your home and young pups received care.

Karen
Karen was lovely! She was super accommodating and hospitable. Settling in was easy, especially in such a nice home in a lovely area.

Maxine and Macky are a dream to care for. Tons of personality and no fuss at all! We just left and we're already missing them.

Karen's house is the perfect place to stay to experience St John's and the Portland area as a whole.

Dawn
Such a wonderful opportunity to have some creative time in the countryside of Northern Yorkshire. Though a car is necessary to get about, for someone looking to “tuck into” some quiet work time, Dawn and John assisted in getting me “settled in” so that a car wasn’t needed, and I could simply stay on the farm. They were happy to both collect, and deliver me back to the train station(s) so that I could have the best train options. Dawn helped to grocery shop for me prior to my sit, and I was able to reimburse her for them upon my arrival.

John and Dawn welcomed me the night prior to their next morning departure. We had a great chat about local history, farming and travel while sharing a lovely sit before the fire and a delightful evening meal.

Danny is a great sidekick and we enjoyed several mini walks and meetings with the onsite farmer and his slightly younger Labrador. Danny Dog and I were cozy relaxing before the fire, but central heating was also available. The four outside cats appeared throughout the day and evening and were very appreciative of their moist food packets. Dawn’s new container garden, seedling flats, potted flowers and the protected growing shelves were conveniently located and easy to care for. Fields of sheep and cattle were inspiring for photos and sketches.
I am very happy that the last minute sit worked out so well in part because Dawn and John were willing to assist me in reaching their farm. Most grateful for the experiences! Thank you!
