Amazing sit! Charlotte and Alex are both super friendly and welcoming. They are easy to communicate with and I felt comfortable knowing I could contact them if I needed anything while they were away. Barnaby is the cutest cat ever he’s so fluffy and his eyes are adorable. He’s super playful and very entertaining. Plus really easy to look after. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed! This was a delightful housesit. Julia kept in touch in the months leading up to the Housesit and was communicative during our stay as well. She was always available to answer any queries that arose. We enjoyed their company the night before they left for the holiday and also the night they returned. We shared a meal in the beautiful garden, enjoying Daniel's home-made sausages and pate - a very French experience. The house was very comfortable with good wifi and Netflix available and in a very beautiful location in France. Julia and Daniel had lots of information for us on what we could see and do in the region and we enjoyed outings to local villages and restaurants, markets and beautiful walks. Marlow, the main character of the Pets is a gorgeous, loving gentle dog. We went on lots of walks together, and he was very well-behaved. The cats are total characters. Coco is a heat-seeking lap-loving cat who rules the House and her siblings. Milo is a little more shy, but very independent and will welcome a scratch behind the ear and a cuddle. The hens were no trouble to look after at all and gave us fresh eggs every day. As for Woody, it was good fun giving him treats occasionally and watching him gobble them down but again, he was easy to look after. Philip and I totally enjoyed our time at Julia and Daniel's and we would definitely recommend this sit to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in rural France. We had a wonderful mix of being able to stay in a comfortable traditional French country home and expansive garden, with good company (the pets) and also to take some drives to scenic, historic and interesting locations. All in all a wonderful house sit.
We really enjoyed staying in Sherrod’s quaint & cozy home. And mojo was so fun to watch, she is quite entertaining and fun to play with! The home is very central to the downtown as well.
From the outset, we felt extremely comfortable with our responsibilities looking after Dafni. Communication with Aimee was excellent. She scheduled a F2F video call prior to the sit and provided a first class 'Welcome Guide'. Consequently, we arrived feeling well placed to enjoy our time in Middle Wallop. Aimee's house is a fabulous contemporary designed house. Although the weather precluded enjoyment of the outside space the large open plan layout provided a wonderful place to relax. The garden is secure, and the road is quiet. The kitchen is well stocked and is a delight to cook in and there is a huge TV in the open space lounge which allows for entertainment whilst cooking and great movie nights! The bedroom, ensuite and additional bathroom are all nicely finished and with the underfloor heating in the main space meant we always felt very cosy. Dafni the Harehound is a very sweet character. She is no trouble at all and incredibly easy to look after. She is very well behaved and is always happy for a tummy tickle. Friendly with other dogs and people alike she thoroughly enjoyed her walks. When on the lead she doesn’t pull and is quite happy to trot along and take in all the smells. Aimee gave us loads of information with regards to nearby walks and secure spaces where Dafni can venture off leash. We highly recommend this sit and would be extremely happy to do so again if needed. However, we now have our own rescue in the mix! Thank you Aimee for letting us stay and look after your beautiful house and the delightful Dafni.
We had a wonderful time at Viki and Fabi's place. They surprised us with a few little nice presents. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood with old farm houses and a great view of the snowy tops of the Swiss Alps. Chloe and Findus were very affectionate after they warmed up a bit. They could come and go in and out as they pleased. We enjoyed their company a lot. Thank you guys for having us in your home!

Alby, our nearly 9 month Sprocker Spaniel, has been going to steve for the last 3 months at least once a week. We honestly can’t speak highly enough of Steve and the service he provides. We can guarantee a tired out little pup at the end of the day - which is very difficult considering how much energy he has - and we know he’s safe, well looked after and loved! It’s lovely to get updates off Steve throughout the day, and seeing Alby having the best time makes it so easy to take him week after week. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now!
5 years later and Bella is still going to Steve. He’s essentially her 2nd Dad. She loves it. Couldn’t recommend any more. Absolutely fantastic service and always willing to help and support. ————————— Bella, our 7 month old black lab, has been going to Steve and his family for doggy daycare since she was only 3 months old. We needed help with juggling busy lives and Steve helps us out massively and has treated Bella like his own dog and welcomed her into his own home. She has regular daycare twice a week but if we need more Steve does all he can to fit her in. She’s had her first couple of sleepovers and boarded already and is booked in for her summer holidays next year. She loves her time at Active Canines, playing with her mates, going for walks and comes home very happy and tired after a fun day. The photo updates throughout the day are very much appreciated as she’s only a pup - but we don’t need to worry about her as she’s treated so well. Wouldn’t go anywhere else and would highly recommend Active Canines. 10/10 + for looking after your precious dog - she’s very safe in Active Canines care. This is a family run business at its best.
I would definitely 100% recommend Active Canines, Steve has been looking after Sadie our 6 yr old springer for 3 months now, doing doggy day care and a 10 day holiday. I have never left Sadie with anyone but family in the past, but due to a family holiday I needed to find someone I could trust, Sadie took to Steve straight away and settled in very quickly, she gets on well with all the other dogs in the group and loves her off lead walks. Steve also keeps us updated daily with pictures of Sadie, which is so nice to see and reassuring that she is happy and being so well looked after.
Ozzy has spent another week with Steve, he always has a great time and comes home happy and tired. It's great to get photos of Ozzy during the day. Steve always takes Ozzy for lovely walks but also makes sure he has some relax time (very important for 9 month old lab puppies who would run all day if they could ). Can't recommend Steve enough.
I was recommended Active Canines by a lady from work and it's the best thing that's happened to Stanley, my one year old black Labrador! He absolutely loves going to see Steve and all his new doggy friends! Stanley comes home and just zonks as he's physically and mentally tired from a day of fun! Stanley regularly goes to doggy day care now. Steve, the owner, is a really genuine guy with a vast array of knowledge and experience with all types of breeds. Steve offers an excellent dog walking service. He is very reliable and most importantly my little dog loves going out with him and the other dogs. She has also stayed overnight, it's like home from home and I know she is in safe hands. I would highly recommend.
This was the first time our spaniels Watson and Millie had been left away from our family so to say that we were apprehensive was an understatement. We needn't have worried though, as they were made to feel so welcome by Steve and his family in his 'home from home' and the photos throughout were very reassuring. My border collie has had a great time with Steve, he would frequently take Sergi to his home and send pictures of him socialising with other dogs which was very nice to see! You can definitely tell that Steve puts his heart and soul into looking after these dogs needs! He was also very reliable and accommodating to my changes in shift patterns.
Steve has just looked after our working cocker, Sam, while we were on holiday. It was great to get daily photos of Sam, enjoying himself with the other dogs. It’s reassuring to know we have someone we can leave our dog with.

This is the 2nd time we have used the services of Barking Mad & once again it has been a great experience. We had a few reservations, as our Pug Lola is now 12 years old & virtually blind. Joanne placed her with a lovely couple Val & Colin who looked after Lola with the same love & care that she receives at home with us - she even went to their caravan (we were asked our permission first) & were sent some great photos during her stay. When she returned, it was obvious she had been very settled with her Foster Family. I would, without hesitation recommend Joanne & Barking Mad Durham.
Bailey - the nervous Newfoundland From beginning to end my experience with Barking Mad was excellent. When I first contacted my local representative I explained about my 18 month old Newfoundland being a very nervous dog - even more so because of Covid restrictions we haven't been able to go far for the last few months. Joanne came to meet Bailey and walk with him to see the type of situations which made him nervous. She offered and overnight stay before our holiday. This really put my mind at ease. Throughout the holiday Joanne kept in touch sending us photos of Bailey. She really met his needs, getting a paddling pool out for him on the hot days, using the 'blaster' hair dryer and brushing him daily . He returned to us with his coat in excellent condition. She'd obviously spent a lot of time on his daily groom. I would highly recommend doggy holidays with Barking Mad.They had all safety measures in place for Covid.

We never really settled boarding our last dog, who sadly passed recently, so when the new pup arrived we looked for dog sitting and found Barking Mad. Their service is top shelf stuff. Home visit to gather info. Dog placed with foster parents that suit the dogs needs. A bio of people and place that will be looking after your dog. We also got daily photo updates which are very reassuring. Collection and delivery of dog and all his shackles. Joanne from Barking mad took care of everything. We cant falt her or the service. And a special thank you to Opie's foster parents (wont name them here). Our dog came back very happy after his deer stalking holiday :)

I haven't used Barking mad but I got in touch and learned that we don't get to see where finn stays , I just find that odd ..I would never send him anywhere unless I'd checked it out first
We decided it would be good for our dog Spot to have one day a week to interact with other dogs. She has so much fun with Tracey and burns up all her energy playing with her new doggy friends. Always sleeps well when she gets back home. Tracey obviously loves the dogs in her care we wouldn't take Spot anywhere else.
Well what a fabulous couple. We didn't want to put our pooch into kennels so searched the web for a dog sitter and came across Tracy and Fari. Felt really comfortable after the first meeting and arranged a 9 night stay with them (for our dog not us !! ) They have a genuine affinity with dogs which is clear to see. My husband hadn't got back home before we had a video clip which really did put our minds at rest and I especially felt happy that our precious pet was going to be very well looked after and go on holiday without worrying. We had regular video clips throughout our holiday and I used to look forward to viewing them as we did miss him as he is such a big part of our family. We were blown away how happy he seemed and were concerned he wouldn't want to come home !! Tracy is very experienced in looking after dogs and even trained Fudge to catch treats which we have kept up ! ! I do not normally recommend but on this occasion I have raved about Tracy and Fari. We won't hesitate to book again in future .. thank you for looking after our Fudgey !!!
Oh my Tracey is amazing, this was my dog first time and at 11 he is set in his ways a bit, but was so happy staying here, he is booked in again in May, Tracey sent me videos of him, really put my mind at rest that he was in a safe, secure and loving environment, would definitely recommend.

I can't recommend Lisa and Stephen highly enough. My fur baby Tilly boards with them when I go on holiday. They look after her so well and attend to her medical needs. They provide daily videos of their walks and send regular photos of Tilly. I would highly recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.
I cannot recommend Lisa and Stark Treks enough! She has looked after our puppy Milo from the beginning like he was her own. She’s provided us with so much support, guidance and knowledge. I have never worried about Milo when he has been with Lisa and he bounds in on a morning!
What an amazing place for dog care. Lisa looks after your precious dog like its her own . Lisa and her partner send regular photos and videos and I'm sure our dog likes to be with Lisa as much as she likes to be with us. I couldn't recommend Stark Trek enough they are amazing.

We've been using Stark Treks for around a year, since our puppy was only a few months old and we couldn't be happier with the service. Lisa clearly loves and cares for all of the dogs she looks after and our Cockapoo (Buddy) is always so excited to see her. We are first time dog owners and often received good advice from Lisa, we know is he in good hands and is well looked after the two days a week he is with Stark Treks!
Duggee absolutely loves going to Stark Treks for his holidays. I feel totally at ease, knowing he is in good hands and he's having a blast. When I go to drop him off, he can't get in the house quick enough. I love the daily updates of his adventures. Duggee has a protein allergy and can only eat a specific diet with only a small selection of treats. At Stark Treks, they really do, do their research to make sure your dog is well looked after and safe. I love that they also use a tracker when taking your dog out on their adventures. Duggee is booked in for his next holiday soon.
I can't recommend Stark Treks enough, Lisa & Steve (and Alfie 🐾) have been amazing with my fur baby Bertie. After trying a few daycare places i was anxious about leaving him while I went on holiday as he just wouldn't settle anywhere; after a couple of sessions at Stark Treks he was desperate to go back and pulls me up the drive every time we walk past the house (whether booked in or not!) His socialising skills with other dogs have improved massively and he walks so much better both on and off lead.....no more chasing after him yelling gravy bones 🤣 i had no issues leaving him while I was away and from the daily video & photo updates it looked like he had the best time too 💙
I cannot praise the Stark Treks team (Lisa and her husband enough. My dogs have enjoyed a number of ‘holidays’ at their home. They are exceptionally cared for and well exercised. The regular videos and photographs of them, on their walks, are greatly appreciated. When I arrive at Lisa’s home, they are excited to leave me and go straight to her which tells a story in itself! A friend recommended Stark Treks and I am so pleased she did. Tip: Get your dates booked in well in advance to avoid disappointment. I have learnt this the hard way!
I can't recommend Sarah from Square Care highly enough. She is flexible, responsive to messages and tries to accommodate us wherever she can. We use the dog walking, dog boarding and cat visit services and our pets love Sarah! The dogs are always happy with her, and she sends us regular photo updates so we are reassured. She’s also flexible enough to accommodate any short notice change to walks I have needed in the past due to shift changes. 100% would recommend 🙂 …

Coopers Crèche is an absolute lifeline for us. Our puppy has been going for 11 months now, and it’s great to be able to drop him off at a place you have full confidence he’s going to be well looked after, has fun and ends the day ready for a snooze. All the staff there are friendly and you know they have the best interests of your dog while in their care. They treat the dogs as their own and for me that is a major plus. The crèche also has a store, which is well worth a visit! Plenty of treats to stock up on for your dog, alongside toys and things to keep your dog pre-occupied. They have always been helpful where they can with tips on how I can train my dog, tips on foods. If you need a place to take your dog during the day while your at work, this is the place to go!
A much needed place for dogs and owners to actually INTERACT. Too many places are either a day care or training place (which these also are!) ... and the 'free style' socialising gets overlooked - so at last - a place where dogs can be dogs, they can learn correct social signals and body language and play in a safe, observed space to ensure they are balanced and fulfilled. It has such a relaxed feel with sofas and toys for the dogs and owners - I took in my take away coffee and just sat on the floor and enjoyed the fur balls all having fun - great for your own pleasure never mind your own dogs - if you are a nervous owner who is a tad protective of your dogs and need to learn how to read your dogs and others in order to relax and let them play - this is a must go to place for you - you will learn how dogs signal and how to just relax and allow the play to unfold rather than worry for the safety of your dog. Busana is a very stable dog, but a little timid to start with - none of the dogs bothered her and she was able to sniff and get involved at own pace and eventually she was wagging her tail and sniffing many butts heheheh .... she is fast asleep having been utterly fulfilled today :-)

Carla has been an absolute blessing. She is reliable, trustworthy, very professional and provides an exceptional service that I would be lost without. To me its such a massive comfort that when I go to work to know my dog will be cared for and the thought of the doggie van coming to pick her up with her other doggie pals makes me feel excited for her and jealous that I’m not there too. From the start Carla made sure she got to know my dog and her routine and gives her such enormous love and compassion and more importantly my dog loves her too. My dog has been going since she was a puppy and the socialisation skills she has gained has been a massive influence for when she is among other dogs. Each walk she is not just getting proper exercise but also having fun sniffing, running, rolling, and playing plus I get loads of pictures and updates along the way letting me know if she has behaved herself. I would never want to be without Little Brown Doggie. Carla has gone beyond her duties many times giving me hints and tips along the way when I have struggled. I think even if I didn’t work id still want my dog to go because the skills and behaviour my dog has gained and continues to gain (and me!) are so important and its been such a great influence.
Carla is a lovely lady and you can tell she really cares for your doggo,'s, love getting picture updates from her to see who my pup has been with, would highly recommend her. Gypsy just loves Aunty Rach :)

Carla has been fantastic ever since we have been using her to walk our dog Millie. She walks her 4 times a week and Millie always seems to of enjoyed her walks and you can tell she has been on a good walk to exert her energy! We are also very grateful for the photos of Millie on her walk which she sends to us after each day which serves as both entertainment seeing some of the fab and funny photos as well as reassurance that you know she has been out on a nice walk each day. Carla also provides very good communication to update us early on any of her holidays etc which allows us to plan effectively. Overall a fab service!

Having been customers for a while, the service gives us great peace of mind that our family pet is cared for and well looked after on his daily walks. Carla keeps us updated with photos and it is evident that our dog is very happy in her care. So happy in fact that he looks for the van on days when we walk him ourselves. Amazing service.
As a family we cannot recommend Little Brown Doggie highly enough!! We have been customers since our Springer was around 1 year old and the confidence and relationships he has built since walking with Carla and the other dogs is astounding. Carla offers such a professional, caring service that we would be lost with out her... as would our Cooper! The dogs are indeed Carla’s number one priority... they enjoy secure transportation, fun walks in the countryside and the care and attention of a very conscientious dog walker. We have one happy dog while we are at work which is wonderfully reassuring.

Carla is fantastic with our puppy, he's always so happy to see her! She always sends pictures from the walk, the places they are going look very nice. We've particularly liked the fact she arranged for shorter walks when he was very young, even carrying him so that he didn't have to walk too much! Very much recommended.
Carla at little brown doggie looked after my 5 month old kitten whilst we went on holiday. She sent us many updates throughout our holiday which put us at ease and we knew he was having a great time. We recently moved to the area from Sweden and one of the first things we knew we needed was to find someone to watch our two cats if we were away. After looking into a few different services where you bring your pet to a location, my husband stumbled on Petpals Darlington & Yarm. We were happy to find a service where people would come to our house rather than us having to take the cats somewhere as travelling can be very stressful for animals. From the beginning, our interactions with the staff at Petpals D&Y was really wonderful - everyone we spoke to was lovely and helpful, and setting up an initial meeting with Jill was quick, easy, and hassle-free. We went on holiday to visit my in-laws over the Christmas period and despite the awkward time of year to work, it was clear from the daily updates that everyone who came to look in on them didn't shirk out on giving our cats time and attention. They seemed knowledgeable about cats - with Jill pegging their breed within a few minutes of meeting them, even, despite it not being a common breed in the UK - and we were assured that if the cats were to become ill that they work directly with a specific cat veterinarian in the area that they would bring them to if necessary. Overall we felt very safe and confident leaving our animals (and access to our home) in their care. We loved the daily updates in particular, with pictures, and when we returned it was to two super happy cats who seemed more calm than anxious. Staff from Petpals D&Y even left them a little Christmas gift that they went crazy for 😂😍. Best petsitting service I've ever used. The price is very reasonable - cheaper than services where you bring your animals somewhere where they'll probably mostly be in cages all day - and setting up dates for them to watch the cats is incredibly easy. Will absolutely be using them again for future trips, short and long, and would 100% recommend for people who are a bit anxious about leaving their furry family members behind on holiday, work trips, etc.
I can't speak highly enough of the service provided by Petpals. While we are away we know our 2 cats are in great hands. They get a visit every day. Litter cleaned and water refreshed. Then they will get a little play time and some one on one attention. Shortly after we receive an email detailing all the exciting events that have happened and a lovely collage of our little kitties. It's something we genuinely look forward to each day we are away. Thank you so much.
This is the second time I've used Petpals and once more I cannot recommend them highly enough. I came back from a long holiday to a content, settled and well looked after cat!! Rachel has been great with him, following his routines, playing with him and making sure he had his cuddles. I loved seeing the photos and reading her daily reports that were making me feel like I was there for a moment. I could tell he has in good hands!!
I did not expect the level of care, attention and obvious affection shown to my pretty independant cat whilst I was away on holiday; Rachel sent me daily reports along with lovely photos, not only did she feed him but she spent time playing with him, grooming him and cleaning him up too when needed as he is long haired. Rachel took the time to tell me how he was on interaction too, playful, mischievous . And on top of that she cleaned his bowls and took all the pouches away for recycling. A really fantastic service all round and I wholeheartedly recommend Petpals to everyone who owns a pet.
Cannot recommend this service enough! My little nervous dog has totally come out of her shell since starting group walks with the dogs, she is picked up and dropped off and absolutely loves all the dog walkers! I cannot recommend Petpals Darlington enough for the care and attention they gave our two cats during our recent family holiday. I was extremely panicked when we first went away as I've never had our cats looked after by anyone other than family and friends but Jill calmed my nerves and even checked the GPS tracking to ensure our cats were being attended to as planned. Our two were attended to by Rachel and then Patricia during our week away and both ladies were fabulous with them. We have a sickly youngster but both ladies cleaned up after her with no bother! Our cats were fed, litter scooped, clean water and most importantly played with and given valuable outdoor time in their catios. The daily service reports with photos were excellent and wherever we were adventuring on the island, we all stopped to hear the daily updates! We arrived home tonight to happy, content cats, clean litter, filled bellies and a lovely card. Thank you to Jill, Rachel and Patricia for treating my two cats so well and with so much care. Thoroughly Recommend 😊
A very professional service from the beginning. Good assessments done with my fog prior to at services being agreed. I've used their walking service regularly and they have a portal that's easy to update if anything changes with your dog. I've also recently used their dog sitting service. We were paired with a lovely man who I think spoiled my girl more than I do. He was a superstar!! I love that they give you a short report after every walk & lovely photos. It is so reassuring to see that your dog is well looked after. The same with the dog boarding - daily photos & updates. I would highly recommend their services.

As a business owner and a single man I can’t always be home as regularly or consistently as I ought to be for Edwin, but Petpals are always there and look after him as though he were one of their own. I recently used Petpals dog walking service for my two dogs, Eli and Ada, while I was away on holiday. I could not recommend Petpals high enough, they took brilliant care of both my dogs, they sent regular updates and photographs and I had total piece of mind that my dogs were having as much fun as I was.
