I have a wonderful peaceful stay at geeson house. The hounds So well behaved, very affecanate, great on a lead with no worries around other dogs. I worked during my stay and they just snoozed by my feet. They are very quiet so no worries if you need to attend online meetings . I had some lovely long walks with paddy who was happy to show me his neighbourhood. Both beautiful dogs and very chilled out, I fell in love with them both . The chickens have a nice big outbuilding and run , they are tame and let you collect their eggs . The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful , immaculate and very clean. I was made to feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this to other sitters and would love to return and see paddy and Dexter again .
As a HUGE boxer lover, I was in absolute heaven with Rudi for 2 weeks! We explored what seemed like all of Edinburgh - and some further out places as well! If you are someone who likes to hike, explore, or go on adventures, Rudi is great to go with on bus, train, or even pubs! Melanie has 2 cats as well and they were great, just doing their own thing most of the time. Melanie was an amazing host and even had a great garden we were able to make a lot of good dishes from - including a much hyped Spinach Tarte that lived up to the praise! Melanie made my cousin and I feel very welcomed in her home, explained everything thoroughly, and always answered to texts in a timely manner with questions we had. Her house is in a safe, beautiful neighborhood and is easy to walk just about anywhere in Edinburgh. I highly recommend taking Rudi to the Royal Observatory and Arthur's Seat - as well as a few pubs!
Mila, her beautiful Russian Blue cat, is a challenge but delightful. She was just a 9 month old kitten when I sat with her and Elizabeth dotes on her. I will be honest and say that I was not prepared for the very cold and very wet winter Spain was experiencing and I'd never had a home with an open-flame, propane heater. Elizabeth stressed over and over again about keeping expenses low, so I refilled the propane tank twice at my own expense while leaving her with a new, full tank so that she didn't have to get a new one when she got home. If you do not own a vehicle, you would need a bus to get to the grocery store or to town. Her apartment is not walking distance to many things. If you sit in the warmer months, the development has a nice pool. In the future, I would suggest that Elizabeth prepare a book for the housesitter that explains how everything works. I felt so bad as she had a new dryer and I'd forgotten you need to drain a fluid tank. This would not have been missed if I had a binder to recheck all the instructions.
My husband and I had an amazing time at Kelly's and Adam's place with Izzy during Christmas and New Years! They were very sweet and welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The communication with Kelly was also very good and the special treats they gave to us when we arrived were super thoughtful. The location is perfect, near the city center and their home is very cozy. Izzy is such a calm, loveable dog and we can't wait to go back to London and take care of him again!
Beautiful stay in a very beautiful small town. I loved every second here and Oak LOVES cuddles (which I think is so beautiful). The home is cozy and welcoming, be prepared for a device free time to practice your being. Justine was very accomodating - I would love to sit again if I had the chance.
Katharina is lovely to interact with and is very accommodating! The cats once they get to know you are very playful, a really enjoyable time in Berlin!
