I so enjoyed my time getting to know sweet Benjamin. Oodles of personality in a gentle, quiet little soul. Everything was clear and all set out for me to know exactly what was needed while Lindsay and Ben were away.

I just got back home from a wonderful trip in the UK and I must say Mary is the most thoughtful and caring of hosts I’ve ever had on this site. I felt pleasantly welcomed when she got essential groceries for me to get the house sit started on a high note. Her home is radiating with such warm and positive energy. She has everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

And the best part was Smudge, he’s the cutest, the gentlest and the most distinguished little gentleman ever. He’d tap me to let me know he wants my attention and then he’d jump up to rub against my fist which was the most adorable thing ever. We’d lay together or when I was WFH 👩🏽‍💻 he’d sleep in my lap which was glorious. He’s the perfect companion for a wonderful stay in Bristol! Another positive note is that since he’s in/outdoor there’s no litter box to be cleaned!

I highly recommend Mary and give this house sit 100 stars ✨ and I’d come back anytime just to hang with Mary and Smudge.

We would look after Eric again in a heartbeat! Eric is a really easygoing, well behaved cute little chap. Loves his ball & very playful, we very much enjoyed taking him to all the gorgeous beaches & walks within 15/20 mins drive of Rebecca & Rob's home. Their home is wonderful - super comfortable & easy to enjoy. Rebecca & Rob were great hosts, very chilled & communication was very easy.

We had a great three weeks in Belfast with Molly and Fred in Jo’s cosy apartment. Jo was incredibly welcoming and is a wonderful host, even picking us up from the train station after we’d missed our first train and arrived very late 😅. She was also very consistent and clear in her communication, which we really appreciated!

Fred is a joy to cuddle up with and is incredibly food motivated. When it’s close to feeding time, he will certainly let you know, and if anything is left on the counter he’ll try to get into it. We found this to add to his charm, but your mileage may vary haha.

Molly is very sweet and easy-going at home, but can be challenging to walk with on the lead, occasionally lunging at/showing signs of aggression towards other dogs or people. Jo was completely transparent and informed us of this beforehand, so we were prepared for it and followed her instructions to give a wide berth to others. This usually worked, but sometimes due to the layout of sidewalks/roads it was difficult to cross or go around every dog or person, and we felt it was worth mentioning that here.

Overall, we enjoyed our time in Belfast, and are grateful to Jo for all of her hospitality!

Jane
We had an fantastic time with Filou. He is such a beautiful dog, and a very sweet boy. He loved snuggles on the couch, and he loved walks! He ver impressively waits next to his dinner until you invite him to eat, so make sure you learn the secret dinner dance 😉 (spoiler: it’s tapping his bowl)

Filou pulled on the lead but Jane had warned us about this and it was exactly as anticipated - just an excited boy exploring the world! We passed a few dogs on our walks and he got excited but didn’t get aggressive, so that was all good. We even ran into a few of his friends, so he is obviously a popular guy!

Jane’s house was clean and very pretty and cosy - were don’t really have a lot of experience with houses near beautiful snowy mountains but it was exactly the way you would imagine! Also waking distance to a town with different restaurants and a small supermarket, which we took advantage of a lot.

It was super close to the ski fields and they do 4-hour lift tickets, so that was perfect for us to drive over (or shuttle), ski a bit, and come back to Filou. There were many places renting ski gear, but we found it pretty difficult to rent ski clothes (I guess everyone in Europe just owns them already?) so if that’s your intention maybe consider how you can BYO 😅

Overall, great sit, very good boy, would recommend!
