Ana is just the kind of person you hope you will get to meet through THS! She is thoughtful, relaxed, and responsive. Her home is so tidy and cozy, and in a great neighborhood for walking and exploring — including awesome restaurants just around the corner! Her handsome little cat, Beau was just adorable… a perfect little companion: affectionate and playful. We would sit for Ana again in a heartbeat!
With Nougat, I had a truly wonderful time. Most likely, you have never encountered a cat this large and cuddly. The time I spent with Nougat was a treat. He is a big, healthy boy who requires two meals each day in addition to some of your affection. Although he prefers being outside, there are moments when he will chose your company and caressing him. I didn't actually need to clean the litter box since he spends most of his time outside. His conducts his business out. He'll require your attention and love in the evening, as well as a little nap on the couch close by. The harsh winter outside while watching favorite show with Nougat purring next to me, was the greatest part of the day. The hosts, Kate and Mads, were wonderful (the whole family actually). Even though I arrived a day earlier, they were happy to have me. Prior to the trip, Kate's communication was perfectly clear, concise, and straightforward, giving me confidence that I was in great company. Unbeatable location for the house. Airport, beach, and downtown are all within 15–20 minutes by bike. Most likely the largest bus route, with excellent connections to the city Center, railway station, and airport, passes by a nearby house. We were permitted to ride the family's bikes, which can give you a feeling to live like a local. I would definitely repeat this pet sitting. Thank you Kate, Mads, Maya, Charlie and Nougat!
Did this housesit with a friend (also a trusted housesitter member). We absolutely loved our stay, the house and gardens, the adorable kitty trio and the beautiful surrounding area. We felt immediately comfortable and relaxed upon arrival with fresh flowers and greetings from Loki, Noe and Leo. I slept with Loki every night and developed a special soft spot for him. Alexis was a wonderful host attentive to any questions we had. We mostly ate in. The kitchen was well equipped for that. Easy walk to downtown, funky shops, lots of restaurants and fabulous hikes on the Blue Ridge. Would be happy to sit for Alexis and the three handsome boys again!
It was very easy communication with Rory and Maëva. They left detailed instructions on how to take care of Bobby & Mochi, who are adorable, so I knew how to navigate caring for them. The flat is spacious and well located, and I had a great time staying in the town, which has everything one would need.
Kathleen and her family were wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome and at home! They went out of their way to make sure we had clear instructions and everything we needed, and were great communicators both before and during our sit. The pets: Bella, Snow, and Phoenix are such a sweet trio! They are all gentle and affectionate, always ready to cuddle up next to you whatever you are doing. Phoenix, being a puppy, likes to play and go for walks, but is a great lounger around the house as well. It was such a treat taking her to her puppy class and watching all the adorable puppies play! All three dogs are so easygoing and good natured, this sit honestly felt easier than some we've done with only one pet! We really fell in love with them. The home: Kathleen's house truly is a peaceful oasis. It is beautiful, clean, and spacious with 2 nice guest bedrooms, a chef's kitchen, and lots of comfortable living space. If you work remotely, this home is perfect with several quiet office spaces and fast wifi. My family and I stayed for 3 weeks and truly felt like we were on vacation! Aside from enjoying the sweet pets, we spent a lot of time outside in the lovely patio and pool areas, visiting nearby beaches, and walking around the beautiful neighborhood and nearby lagoon trail. If are lucky enough to get the chance to sit for Kathleen, definitely take it!
