Julia is such a thoughtful and considerate host! From our initial application she was very communicative. And, she gave us generous flexibility with the dates she had requested. The instructions were clear and detailed, noting many of Dd's behaviors as well. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home which we truly appreciated! Dd is such an adorable kitty! As soon as we arrived, she greeted us with her tail high and by 'flopping' to show us her belly. Dd is also a very talkative and playful cat, whether with the laser, wand toy or chasing after a toy you throw. She LOVES being brushed and enjoys cuddles/being on your lap, of course at her discretion. We already miss her! The home's location is very close to public transportation, with a bus stop in front of the building and trains within walking distance. You'll have an endless variety of cafes, restaurants, and bars to choose from. There are many gyms and yoga studios to explore as well. Julia's place is very bright with morning and evening sun, comfortable and spacious. Thanks again Julia for this opportunity and for developing trust with us. We would definitely sit for Julia and Dd again without reservation!
House sitting for Jane and Roger was our first booking through this site and it could not have been better. From the first contact everything was extremely easy and un-complicated making for a very relaxing and rewarding sit. Jane and Roger were so friendly and down to earth and readily welcomed us into their wonderful home to take care of Tangle and Rumpus, both of whom were adorable and great company. Tangle was a delight to take out on walks and her recall and walking to heel were fantastic. There were so many footpaths and routes available directly from the door that meant we could really explore the local area and it felt like we were exploring new areas every day and only really scratched the surface of what was available. All in all this was a fantastic sit which we would not hesitate to recommend and equally we would jump at the chance to return. Thank you Jane and Roger for allowing us to house sit for you - and sorry that this feedback is so late!
Mike and Tove welcomed us into their home with a cup of tea and a delicious home cooked meal. We enjoyed a walk around the Common and talked about martial arts with their son, Oskar. Mike gave us great recommendations of things to see in London. Communication was also a breeze. Their pets were also easy-going and friendly. Tessa is everybody’s friend and loves sitting in the sofa together or catching some sun on the back patio. She has excellent recall and gets along with other dogs on the Common. Very well behaved and sweet, an all-around easy dog. Sooty is a man of mystery. He has a kitty door to the garden and really only comes around for pets at the end of the day. We got a kick out of his faucet drinking — he really loves lapping up water from the sink! He likes getting his neck rubbed and will purr quite audibly once he gets going. The house is conveniently located near the Balham tube station, cafes, restaurants, and stores. The back gate opens into a Common for accesible walks. We had an awesome time checking out Brixton and even made it to Central London for some sightseeing. This sit was a great way to explore parts of London we probably wouldn't have seen on a casual visit. All in all, this was a superb sit with a warm family and easy pets. The location is fantastic location. Tessa and Sooty are friendly and vie for attention and cuddles in equal measure. If you have the opportunity to sit for Mike and Tove, don't hesitate to do so.
This is one of the best house sits I have ever done and I've done many all over the world. Lovely dogs and the house plus garden is beautiful with super walks and surrounds. Very hospitable couple whom I hope to see again one day! Fully recommend.
I thoroughly enjoyed my sit here and they have the most adorable cats. Everything was 5* and l thoroughly recommend this sit.
Chicho is very kind and organized with his injections and food. I think it is necessary to have prior time with him so that the injections are easier to perform, since once he gains confidence it is easier. The house is very nice, tidy and clean. It is recommended to have a car as it is difficult to travel by bus to Brisbane or other destinations.
