Megan and her brother were great guests! They left the place very clean and took wonderful care of my cats and garden. I would definitely have her sit again :)
Clémence and Tomasz are perfect hosts, they take care of me at my arrival. They explained me everything I need to know to take care of their kitties. Citron and Miel are very easy to manage, they felt comfortable with me from day 1. Highly recommended family!
Catherine and Jim are very easy going hosts. Their house is lovely. The sitter's bedroom and bath area nice and comfortable. It is a 5minute drive to downtown Prescott. There is so much do in the area. Sadly, they lost their beloved Casey the morning of the day we arrived. So we did not have a pet to sit.
I greatly enjoyed sitting for Sophie at Fran's place. Sophie was so much fun to play with and especially enjoyable to watch her develop friendships at the nearby dog park. Fran's house is cozy and I felt safe in the neighborhood. Fran is a great communicator and made sure I would feel at home in her place. I loved this sit so much I am scheduled to return in September of 2023 for a little over three weeks. Yeah!
I enjoyed sitting for Lauren. Her cat, Clyde, is so sweet and affectionate. He snuggled up to me on the couch and I woke up to him sleeping next to me. He likes to be close but he's subtle, gentle, and quiet. I didn't realize he was sleeping next to me! This is ideal for light sleepers! Taking care of Clyde was really easy. He happily ate his food. I added his omega 3 oil into every meal and gave him two clicks worth of a topical med in his ear in the morning. Clyde was really easy going. I refreshed his water regularly cuz food gets into it after a while, and I cleaned the kitty litter daily. Lauren's home is cozy and a great WFH space with lots of diff scenery if you get bored like me! There's a few diff places to sit outside, an office nook, and an open space in the dining room and kitchen area with a washer and dryer onsite. There's also a lovely deep bathtub. It's a safe and cute neighborhood, walking distance from the Friday farmers market and nearby Lassens grocery store. I'd love to sit for Lauren again and spend some more time with Clyde!
We had a wonderful time with Emma at her lovely home. She is a very loving bulldog and her parents gave us great instructions for caring for her. Emma likes to wake up early (6AM), grab breakfast, and head out to walk/stroll. Her timing is perfect for catching sunrise coming up over the hills. She doesn't mind if you grab a nap after walking. We also did evening walks and she introduced us to several neighbors who were also walking. Emma knows the .8 mile walking route very well and paces herself according to what looks and smells interesting along the way. We were also responsible for leaving lettuce for the tortoises each day. They were quite active the first day we were there, but we got a little concerned when one of them preferred to lay in the hay for the remaining days of our stay. John and I had a texting exchange and he assured me semi-hibernation is normal. They were interesting pets and easy to care for. Emma's home is beautiful and very clean and convenient. We used the guest room during our stay and the bed was comfy. We dragged Emma's bed into our room at night so she could keep an eye on us. The layout of the house is perfect for pet sitters with kitchen, living, and dining on the main floor with the guest room. The back yard and grounds were fun to explore, with an abundance of interesting growing things. We enjoyed a few oranges and a couple of lemons from trees growing in the back. There are coyotes and I saw 2 of them when we were meeting to get instructions, so Emma had a buddy with her every time she went out. This was a special experience for us since it was our first sit and it was a beautiful home with a sweetie we fell in love with. We highly recommend sitting with Emma, unless we are available and can do it instead!
