This sit was an absolute pleasure! Chris and Judy collected Michael and me from the station and welcomed us into their beautiful home with delicious soup on our arrival and a cosy fire. As the first week of their holiday was cancelled due to stormy weather, we had the opportunity to spend time together - learning the animals' feeding and caring routines, and having bonus time with their three very friendly dogs. When they left for the second week, it felt like we had new friends. A lovely way to start each day (cold and rainy though they most often were), feeding & watering the chickens, outdoor cats and horses. Then a warming job shovelling and wheelbarrowing manure from the barn and the field whilst listening to birdsong and taking in the views. A shorter feeding job in the afternoon followed by settling down in front of the woodburner for cosy evenings. If you enjoy peaceful countryside setting, close to a small town (thanks as well for the generous use of their car), with lovely gentle creatures for company and interesting and knowledgeable hosts with excellent communication and support, this is a special opportunity that I can highly recommend. I hope to return to again.
We had a wonderful time with Oti and Fudge. These 2 girls are so well behaved and easy to care for. Each very different given their ages, but equally affectionate, happy, loyal and playful. No troubles at all, and the lovely home is in a perfect country setting and more than comfortable. We miss the girls already and hope to be back one day. Recommended sit with 2 adorable cats in front of the Bavarian Alps. Monty and Toffee are a dream to sit. They are easy to care for, independent and gentle. They have a large outdoor pen to release their energy and enjoy the fresh air. Monty and Toffee listen very well to their names, which is quite unusual for cats to this extent. Toffee loves to be petted a few times a day, while Monty is more the relaxed and quieter one. Manuela and Gerhard have created a loving environment for them, in which they definitely feel comfortable. I was able to come a night earlier, so I could directly start exploring the beautiful surroundings the next day. Thank you so much Manuela and Gerhard that I could spend such an enjoyable week with you and your cats!! Empfehlenswerter Sit mit 2 bezaubernden Katzen vor der Kulisse der bayrischen Alpen. Monty und Toffee sind ein Traum zum Sitten. Sie sind pflegeleicht, eigenständig und sanftmütig. Sie haben ein großes Außengehege, um sich auszutoben und die frische Luft zu genießen. Monty und Toffee hören ausgesprochen gut auf ihre Namen, das für Katzen in diesem Ausmaß doch recht ungewöhnlich ist. Toffee verträgt gerne einige Streicheleinheiten am Tag, während Monty eher der Entspanntere und Ruhigere von beiden ist. Manuela und Gerhard haben den beiden eine liebevolle Umgebung geschaffen, in der sie sich definitiv wohl fühlen. Ich konnte schon eine Nacht zuvor kommen, sodass ich am nächsten Tag direkt die wunderschöne Umgebung erkunden konnte. Vielen lieben Dank Manuela und Gerhard, dass ich eine so schöne Woche bei euch und euren Katzen verbringen durfte!!
Sophie's home is situated in a really cool location. When you're not enjoying Giselle's sweet cuddles, there are so many interesting trails to enjoy-even in winter. Sophie made me feel super welcome and was accommodating when I needed to change plans. The chickens are well behaved and pretty cute to hang out with. The animal care itself is straightforward and when supplies ran low, Sophie made sure they got delivered so you don't need to worry about carrying back a heavy load without a car. Lovely lovely time!!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Gabrielle and Pete’s. Pixie, Cilla and Dolly are just gorgeous, and we loved them instantly. We looked after them for 3 weeks, with several walks a day, and we were sad to say goodbye to them. Each have their own unique personalities, but expect lots of cuddles and licks. They happily travelled in the car to explore the surrounding region and they were well behaved when out and about. Very well socialised dogs with lovely temperaments. The house is a beautiful old coach house with lovely views over the surrounding open fields. We walked several times with the dogs through the fields and along the river to the Black Bear - a fantastic fig-friendly pub. Tewkesbury is a very pretty medieval town with lots to see and do and the greater Cotswolds region makes exploring with dogs easy. If you see this sit come available, jump on it. You won’t regret it.
I had a great time exploring Paris with Jack! Jack is a very chill, go with the flow, kind of dog. He absolutely loves to take the metro! Shea provided clear instructions for the sit which made things go smoothly. The apartment is situated in the 11th arrondissement, which is full of bars and restaurants/ things to do. Paris is very dog friendly, I had no issues going into most restaurants, bars, and stores.

We are so grateful for the care Richard provides for our sweet dog Elsa. He has been letting her out and taking her on walks every week since she was a puppy. Our schedule changes constantly and I often have to contact Richard at the last minute for a visit. He is extremely flexible, understanding, and always responds immediately. Richard is always available when we need him and we know Elsa is in good hands!

Richard is exceptional. In 2.5 years of dog walking he has never canceled a walk or said no to last minute needs. He has never raised his prices and he always comes on time. He walks our dog Libby who is aggressive with other dogs and has handled her so well- she loves him. He also cat sits for us when we leave town and goes above and beyond, stopping by our house in the morning and evening to let our cat in and out so she can get some fresh air. He has been so important to the health and happiness of our pets, we think of him as family!

Richard is great! I highly recommend Sunnyside Petcare. He comes to our house on short notice and takes care of our pets. He is very responsible and even finds substitute pet walkers for our dog at no extra cost when he can not make it. He is also great at communicating any issues that come up. We trust him with our dog and recommend him to all of our friends.
When I first adopted my puppy, Fluffhead, I felt incredibly guilty for leaving him at home while I was in the office. I told my vet that I was stressed out about affording the rates of most dog walkers, and she immediately recommended Richard's services. Richard came over and hit it off with Fluffhead right away, spoiling him with treats and attention. Since then, Richard has come in two or three times a week, unfailingly responsible, flexible, and friendly. Even when I email him the same morning asking for a walk, he always makes time in his schedule. Lastly, I can tell that he really cares about Fluffhead...for the first couple of weeks he would text me about their walks, letting me know that all was well. I feel so lucky to have him in my neighborhood, and I know Fluffhead feels the same way!
This man is a bit unhinged and outright unstable. I don't know what lead to his owns dogs death...(not natural causes) but I can not trust him with my own.
This is the second time I’ve boarded my dogs with Lynda. I have confidence they will be safe and loved just like at home. I appreciate her great communication during their stay when I call to check in, and highly recommend her as an awesome dog sitter.
We took our dogs for an "evaluation" before we boarded them. To see if they "passed", they told us that our German Shepard totally "shut down" when she was with other females. Didn't even try putting her with males. So they (two Chihuahuas had other issues" They never once suggested that the get German Shepherd should not be near our beloved and therapy dog Morgan. Who was obviously a female....I told them that the German Shepherd and Morgan can't be together. They claimed they were dog professionals...the very next day, our German Shepherd killed our precious Morgan, in 8 seconds....thanks....

My dog came home happy and exhausted after his first weekend. Just Like Home cares, is fun for my dog and reasonably priced for me.
They do no offer the services that are advertised on their website, where clear sizes and descriptions are printed. When I brought this up, the reply was "No, Thank You" and hung up, not offering any explanation. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Kim, the owner is an amazing individual. She really takes pride in what she does and it shows in her results! My dog is a Shepherd Husky mix, and Kim was able to do it all! My dog listens to all her recalls and comands, Kim really knows what she is doing! The obedience, manner, and overall demeanor of my dog is beyond expectations. I would recommend to all my family, friends, and coworkers!
Day Hill has been a God send for us. We used a very well known "chain" for our doberman puppy. My only regret is that I wish we would have found Day Hill sooner- we would have saved alot of time AND money. We are out in Beaverton, but Day Hill is 1000% worth the drive. Our pup has so much more confidence and SOLID foundation. And we have better tools and knowledge to keep her training up. If you're on the fence - DO IT!
My dog loves it here. They allow him to play a ton & there's so much room for him to run. They send us updates, always showing me he's happy. Drop off & pick up communication are clear & simple. Look at this handsome boy, in this awesome photo they took!

We have trained and boarded Kona many many times with Kim for over 2 years and couldn’t be happier.
I am only four sessions in with my Border Collie/Lab/Husky mix. I cannot say enough good things about Kim and her training. Our puppy was the most high energy dog, lacked confidence, and basic obedience prior to bringing him in. He now is very well behaved and obedient more than I could’ve imagined he could be.
Kim is a wonderful trainer. She did wonders with our puppy Wednesday. She is a blueheeler, collie, lab mix and very high energy. Kim helped us to get Wednesday focused and to listen. We would highly recommend Day Hill Dog Training.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention our dog Rio received while staying at Day Hill Boarding. We drove an hour to drop our dog off there after hearing wonderful things about Kim. It was more than worth it! I will never board him at a “standard” kennel again. Mary Ellen takes the best care of my dogs, so much that the youngest would happily stay there forever. Great pick up/drop off process. Excellent communication and scheduling is easy, daycare or boarding. So glad to have stumbled across her place years ago!
My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️
We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)
I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!
Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!
I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.
We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.
We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.
Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!
Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!
Shows real care and concern for my little monsters. Can be called upon with short notice and sends pics of my angels while on walks. One dog requires meds and she has no problems with this, I can feel comfortable knowing she takes care of things while I'm gone.

I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.
My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.
I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.
This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!
I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3

I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.
This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.
We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.
We bring our dog here every time we go out of town. He is an active cattle/herding breed and they have a large outdoor area where he gets to run around with dogs for a good portion of the day (Boarding + daycare package). They also send us pictures of our dog every couple days, which is a nice little personal touch that we enjoy!
Sherlock loves Green Acres. Sherlock has been cared for by the Green Acres family since 2014. Sherlock spends 4 to 8 weeks per year at the resort and absolutely loves it. Sherlock comes home tired. We know he is well cared for and the staff knows our dog. Thank you Green Acres for excellent care.
Absolutely amazing people. My older dog has become more of a homebody as she ages. During her last stay, she had a really rough time and needed a lot of special care. I couldn’t get an earlier flight home to get her, so they did the best they could to make her feel loved. They kept me updated, kept her close at the reception/office, and tried to find ways to get her to eat and exercise. Our other dog is only 3 and is a doodle with tons of spare energy and very little impulse control when she’s excited. She always gets excited when we pull into the parking lot… she loves the staff and tries to jump over the dog gate to get into the facility when we drop her off. They take her energy in stride and she’s always happy when we pick her up. Best place we have found to keep our dogs. I trust them to do what’s best for the dogs and to keep the hoomans updated throughout the stay.
Honestly I don’t even know where to start. I’m EXTREMELY frustrated and upset. I boarded three of my dogs here for 3 nights and on the way back from our vacation to pick them we got a text message with this photo of our dogs back saying they didn’t know what happened. I was confused and completely frustrated because I didn’t understand how this could even happen. They tried blaming it on our other dog who she was in the kennel with but I know there is no way that was possible. Those two are always kenneled together and love each other so much. In addition our other dog has an auto immune disease that causes loss of her hair if she doesn’t take her medicine. I specifically told them to give her her medicine on a certain day and time. Come to find out it was never even given to her. Overall, I am extremely upset because these dogs are family. How they got treated here is completely unacceptable and I would be VERY CAUTIOUS BEFORE EVEN THINKING TO BRING YOUR DOG HERE. We will never be coming back.
Our favorite place to take our pup when we go out of town. They communicate well. Sending photos of the dog regularly (daily usually) and he is always tired and played out when we pick him up after a few days stay.

Our dog loves Green Acres! And we love the peace of mind when we're traveling. I know Maia is in good hands while she's staying there and that she's having more fun than she does at home anyway! The staff has always been polite and helpful, and most importantly they clearly love and care for the dogs in their care. For us, what sets Green Acres apart from the other options in the area is the staff and the facility itself. The dogs have so much room to run and play, they have a pond and stream to play in, it's truly a dog paradise. The staff not only supervises the dogs, but works with them on commands and manners. Green Acres also has competitive boarding rates, on the cheaper end of what I've seen in the Portland area

He never even looks back at us to say “Goodbye” Our most recent trip required 7 days of boarding for our dog and we were so thrilled to know he was in good hands. I was using another daycare for my newly adopted dog and even though they were okay my dog didn't really want to go there. I found Green Acres and my dog loves it!. He gets excited when we pull up and can hardly wait to get out of the car. They have a consistent care program and lots of acreage for the dogs to run around in. They give me updates and send pictures of my dog. They truly love dogs and I'm glad to have found a place I trust and my dog really likes.
BEWARE: Left my french bulldog with Green Acres K-9 Resort from 8/24-9/3. Came back to her having been with dogs 3x or more her size and beat up. She had bites on the back of both her hind legs and couldn’t walk without yelping because her neck and shoulders were injured. $400 emergency vet bill later and the only response from them is “you signed a waiver, but we will put a $250 credit on your account here.” Sorry but waiver or not there should be a responsibility to make sure my dog is safe. She has still not fully recovered from her injuries. Needless to say we will not be back.
We have taken our dog to them for the past few months and they have been absolutely amazing. No kennels, huge fenced backyard for them to play, and they can roam where they want in the house. Our dog literally runs into their house as soon as we pull up because she loves it so much. I can’t recommend them enough for your doggie daycare or boarding needs!
My dog Molly is 15. In her senior years she is slow and has some special needs. Joyce and Angela go out of their way to make sure she is cared for and every need is met. She loves being there. She evens plays and bonds with the other dogs. When I pull up to their home, Molly can't wait to get to their front door. It is such a blessing knowing she is in such good, caring and loving hands while I'm away.
I stumbled upon Jet Set Pet Sitters when I was in need of both daytime care and boarding while we were in the process of moving. Joyce and Angela are beyond FANTASTIC! They love the dogs as if they were their own. After trying a more traditional boarding facility last summer, I was nervous to leave our pup again. But the home atmosphere and care these two provide exceeded my expectations! Thank you Joyce and Angela!
I like to take my little Yorke here to get socialized. Wow, it didn't take long! He runs right up to the door excited to play with others, unlike the vet or groomer. Joyce and Angela are always cheerful lovely ladies who love the hard work that they do. Thanks for accepting Vinnie into your home!
