What a delightful house sitting assignment! We adored our week in the countryside of Cork taking care of Misty, their sweet dog. Dee and Paul have a lovely modern home with a large comfortable guest suite with large private bath on the ground floor. The house has an ideal setting on a country lane with a large yard with views for miles. Dee and Paul gave us very thorough instructions for Misty and the property that made the stay very relaxing. We were lucky the house was located close to the charming seaside town of Kinsale with shops and cafes plus large grocery stores. Dee and Paul were the ideal house sitting hosts.
Kiki and William are the sweetest, well-behaved dogs. It was a joy to take care of them. We enjoyed walks around the neighborhood, chill time watching tv, and afternoon play sessions. Sarah and Tim's house is absolutely beautiful. The garden outside is great for taking their dogs out and the house itself is equipped with everything you would need. Very easy check-in, instructions, and communication with Sarah.
This sit is amazing. The home, neighborhood and town are a dream. Anbu is the most loving and sweet dog. He is a rescue so he takes a few more days than other dogs to warm up to the sitters, but the wait is well worth it. Anbu is never aggressive to anyone or any dog, just cautious of new people. He is great to walk, he lights up when outside and is filled with joy. Inside he is more skittish, but still sweet and easy to care for. Carol and Anan are kind and supportive of sitters. I loved getting to know them.
I am reluctant to relay what a wonderful Sit this is as I am hoping to return many times & saying that "I highly recommend this Sit" will not make it easy! Jane is a good communicator & was quick to reply to any messages sent to her. I have been pet sitting all over the world for over six years, so stands to reason that I have experienced living in all sorts of homes, be they large/small in busy areas or out in the countryside. And all the pet owners I have met have been a delight, infact I am still in touch with a lot of them. But every now and then I walk into a home which (actually) feels like "home from home" & that is exactly how Jane's (Ja) home felt like! Everything about her home is easy, from all mod-cons to being able to relax in the evening at a good size tv with more channels than I could ever get through. The bedroom is a lovely size with a very comfortable bed which afforded me one of the best nights sleep in a long time! Jane's home is on a very quiet street & her neighbours are very respectful towards one another. But having said that, I was very happy to see that I was spoiled for choice when it came to having two Tesco Express shops 2 minutes drive from the home, including a huge Tesco Super shop only 5 minutes away. It is a beautiful area with plenty of lovely walks & full of the usual historic features. Or just a drive into Brighton for a change is easy enough done. As with Jane's home, you actually want for nothing in this part of England. Maisie is a very independent little cat of 2 years old who definitely enjoys her own company. She is absolutely no bother at all & infact most of the time you will be hard put to find her as she has mates up & down the street & enjoys visiting them a lot. Or just lying by herself under the Mulberry bush for hours! I loved Sitting for Maisie as she is no way demanding & as I work from home & am kept fairly busy that suited me just fine. Now & again she would come in & watch tv with me but (once again) she preferred being outside with her friends! I will end this review the way I started it by saying that I highly recommend this Sit. Not one to be missed!!! Thanx again Jane for sharing your beautiful home & little Maisie with me. Looking forward to being back at Xmas time!!!!
Rob and I had the absolute pleasure of house-sitting for Mo, a beautiful and sweet-natured Ragdoll cat. Mo was playful, affectionate, and an absolute delight to spend time with. Mazni and Jason were fantastic hosts, providing clear instructions and maintaining constant communication throughout our stay. Jason even went above and beyond by sharing lots of information about local activities and attractions in Klingnau, Switzerland. They also thoughtfully prepared a welcome package of treats that we truly appreciated. Their apartment is situated in the charming old town of Klingnau, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the picturesque River Aare flowing right outside the living room window. We wholeheartedly recommend this house-sitting opportunity to anyone seeking a countryside experience with the convenience of being just a few minutes walk away from the Train-line, providing easy access to nearby cities.
It was a GREAT stay with Lizzie and Willow! The two are so well behaved and very loving. The location of the home is perfect for any traveling wanting to explore a new city, with the art museum, Franklin Institute, and so much more within a short walk. Gavin was very kind and left very detailed instructions to make the stay welcoming and comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay with Lizzie and Willow!
