Marcus provided all the info needed to assure I could continue the care of his animals in very good stead...and when there was the odd "hiccup" along the way, he was readily available to assist. Although I may have been a "newbie" on day one, I felt like an old hand by the end of the stay and the sheep were such fun to watch during the day, as they frolicked unde the watchful eye of Miss Candy! This is a lovely, quiet location for long walks or bicycling, but only a short drive to great village shops, bakeries and friendly shopkeepers who can clue you in on the best spots to visit. I hope to have the opportunity for a return visit!
I spent a very pleasant 5 weeks at Jennifer's sitting for Darcy and Lydia :) Jennifer has a lovely home nestled in a safe and secure courtyard, with grocery stores, cafes and eateries, and an express bus to the loop conveniently located just a block or two away (I was able to nip out of the house just 3 minutes before my bus was scheduled to arrive at the stop every morning by checking the Ventra app, a tip Jennifer shared with me). Communication was great from before the sit and through it, and there is no neater or more efficient way I could organise my own home! Darcy (the younger, more curious and playful kitty) was such a delight to play with; I had such fun teasing him with his wand toys and laser pointer, and then cuddling him on the couch and in bed. I do miss watching him nap in the sun beside me while I work! Lydia (the smaller and more cautious kitty) was equally sweet and hungry for affection. While content to curl up in a pile of blankets, she also enjoys head rubs and chin scratches, which I equally enjoyed giving. Thanks for trusting me with your home and kitties these 5 weeks, Jennifer! Looking forward to the next one :)
Nancy and Eric have the MOST beautiful home! Alfie and Archie were such sweethearts - I miss them already. Very loving cats and a delight to care for. I would not hesitate to petsit for Nancy and Eric again.
Rachel and family were easy to work with and communicated well with us setting up the sit and giving clear instructions right before they left. Their house was very nice and clean and well situated for exploring the Dales.
What a great experience! Buster is one-of-a-kind, smart, playful and loyal companion. He & I took full advantage of his outside domain. Richard is a THS expert. The communication was clear, reasonable and easy to understand. The house has everything you need and was quiet and clean. I hope to return when the need arises. If you get a chance to stay, you will not regret it!
The Housesit with Ainslee was great, the dogs Alfie and Ruby were really easy to take care of and their behaviour was excellent. We loved the location being so close to Yarraville and the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
