Housesitting for Hugo and Sophie had me questioning if I am cut out for pet-sits! Their 3 Dachshunds are the most loving, gentle and sweet dogs imaginable and I found it very emotional to say goodbye to them. We spent 2 very happy weeks here with Minnie, Madge and Moses - they were with us constantly, in the garden, walking on the bridleway behind, and having barbecues with us on the terrace. They even tolerated being bathed on muddy days and gave us a few kisses as we were towelling them off. The dogs are of course a reflection of Sophie and Hugo themselves who are full of kindness. We emailed with them daily and spoke on the phone a few times - and really warmed to them throughout our sit. We felt totally at home in their lovely house and garden full of beautiful roses and the whole experience was a total joy. We hope to stay in contact with them both - and came away feeling we'd made new friends. Thank you both!
Benny is the sweetest dog! So well behaved and fun to spend time with. It's easy to understand his emotions. Caitlin was a great host and was so considerate. Definitely felt at home during my stay :)
I had a wonderful time watching George and Stanley. They were so adorable, easy to take care of and very affectionate (especially George ❤️). Sarah, Colin and little Henry were a wonderful host :) They are very kind and friendly. The house was very nice and clean while locating at a beautiful and peaceful location of Wormit. You can see the Tay Rail Bridge from the house. The views were absolutely stunning. There are many paths (both natural and within the village, including beaches!) around the house, so it's very easy to take George and Stanley out for walks. I couldn't recommend this sit enough 😊
Had a lovely time at Marion’s place. It’s in a nice leafy area a short train trip to the city with a tranquil back garden and her cats are very cute, friendly and low-maintenance.
Cheryl was so welcoming and made me feel like I was staying with an old friend. Kuzco took a day but warmed up to me quickly, sitting in my lap with her head on my belly. The outside kitties in the backyard were always happy to see me bring their food. Cheryl's house is a wonderful ranch situated on a tree-lined street with sidewalks. I frequented a gym just down the street and was amazed at the number of times her neighbors along the way waved as I drove by. Very friendly city overall. I visited the Buddy Holly Museum learning a lot about his influence on The Beatles and Bob Dillon. There are many restaurants & grocery stores in all directions though a car is needed for access. I highly recommend this sit!
Everything about this sit was wonderful. My only regret is I didn't sit in a season when the large beautifully landscaped pool was open! The home is beautifully appointed, in a very safe neighborhood, and comes with any amenities you might need. Nicole and Jason were good communicators and left numbers of neighbors I could contact in an emergency (luckily unneeded!). The location was great - pretty close to both DC and Baltimore, and walking distance to Savage Mill with its quirky shops and good restaurants. There was great hiking nearby, too. But most importantly, their beautiful cat TS is very affectionate and playful. Overall, a wonderful stay.
