Hats off to Lucian and Guy for such a really REALLY great house/pet sitting experience! They went out of their way to make sure we had all the information we needed to care for their dear whippet pup Mila. They provided a very detailed welcome booklet as well as allowing overlap at the beginning and end of the sit to share ideas and debrief. You will find that they have devoted themselves to socializing Mila exceptionally well. I was a bit nervous prior to the sit, as it was my first time caring for a young whippet. After meeting Mila and her humans, I was immediately set as ease and we had fun playing and being companions to Mila. She is good on her walks and we enjoyed a delicious dinner on the patio of a local restaurant with Mila stretched out at our feet. The Ross Hand historic mansion where you will be staying is sensitively preserved and updated with gorgeous grounds and interior design while still being comfortable and well lived in. The town of Nyack is a wonderful walkable town with great shops and places to eat. The French patisserie Didier Dumas is a real treasure. Best thing about Nyack is that it is a very inclusive town. Mila showed us around on walks during the cooler parts of the day. Communication was excellent with Guy and Lucian while they were abroad. Thanks again for your generosity — you both are inspirations! Best wishes as Mila meets her new little brother Nacho. I’m certain she will be delighted to have another whippet buddy. We would happily return anytime!
