I stayed on and cared for this beautiful farm property with animals for 7 weeks. The hostess, Arty, is very kind, efficient, attentive to her animals and their needs while she is away, and was available if needed for questions. She left very detailed and helpful instructions for property and animals. The dog Gaia is completely sweet and loves all people and is quite entertaining. The horse Miss Piggy and goat Oreo are calm and easy going. There were 6 sheep, which I did not need to interact much with. The ram does like a good scratch every now and then. Also, 2 barn cats that I fed every morning. Zoey loves a good pet, while Talker prefers to eat and go. I highly recommend this sit as an opportunity to enjoy a lovely, peaceful setting with sweet animals. Not to mention the close proximity of the Mt. Hood area for exploration. I hope I will be able to return to this sit again one day!
We had a very relaxing time with Millie and Jesse. They are very well behaved and no problem to care for. We enjoyed the nice breeze off the lake and beautiful view. And of course relaxing in the jacuzzi! We look forward to spending more time here in the future
Our experience was smooth and most enjoyable. Kat was clear on communications and her packet of information was thorough and detailed. She provided us with everything needed for the successful sit. We sent pictures on occasion and brief updates. She reciprocated. And then there is Wilbur the Bulldog. He loves sleeping, treats, a daily not too strenuous walk, and all the cuddles he can get. Each day he had what we called a "moment of madness" lasting an hour or less. His tearing around antics were hilarious complete with lots of snorting and loud full- throated blasts. He loves full body rubs and sitting by you on the couch. He does shed some but that's what his breed does. Kat refers to him as Wilbur Wigglebutt (aptly named), but we came to refer to him as Wilbur the Wonderdog. We give this sit and the entire experience a 5 Star rating. Patrick and Helen
We had a terrific time taking care of Amber and Sheboo at Darcy's place. Both pets are well-mannered but always ready to play and snuggle when you're around! Amber loves to get outside and get her exercise, and there is no shortage of great places to take her on walks - a nearby land trust with numerous hiking trails, along with a lighthouse and other beaches right in town. Darcy was very responsive and ready to help in case we had any questions, and the house is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains from just about every window. The biggest challenge was having to leave Amber and Sheboo - can't understate how much we enjoyed playing and hanging out with both of them!
Jen has good communication and everything we needed for a safe and fun sit was provided. Pets were very manageable and friendly.
