Toby and Chloe were the best sitters we could've asked for, we got the chance to meet before our trip and as soon as we did I knew Milo would have an amazing time and we had absolutely nothing to worry about. We got pupdates everyday of him living his best life at camp Chloby. It goes without saying that the house was immaculate when we returned and Toby and Chloe were the most helpful and kind to us and helped us with things they didn't need to during their stay. Thank you to Toby for fulfilling Milos wrestling addiction and to Chloe for giving every second of your attention to our needy son, he misses you both already ❤️
Debra was wonderful! Great communication, and lots of fun! My dog is literally mourning her absence.......
We spoke to each quite a bit for a wk or so bcuz my puppy was ill. She was a wonderful caregiver for my pup! She was easy to talk to & very cooperative, helpful, caring & compassionate.
I loved staying at Janes place. Fabulous apartment and location but the best part is sweet stubborn Tulip. She is such a gem, full of character and I would keep her for my own any day of the week. I miss her already and hope to return another time
I was warmly welcomed into their home by Lisa and Fletcher. I was able to meet the dogs (Elwood and Marvel) and go for a walk with them (individually). I was invited to an excellent dinner at home on the first evening to get to know each other and we were able to discuss the final details. So that Lisa and Fletcher could enjoy their vacation without worries, I sent photos or short films with the dogs every day. I had a great time with the dogs. About the dogs: The dogs are a dream, very friendly and easy to get along with. Elwood pulls quite hard on the leash and is extremely reactive towards other dogs. Over the course of the 2 weeks I tried to teach him not to pull (with a lot of patience it gradually got better), and I avoided dog encounters as much as possible. Marvel (German Shepherd) is a dream on a leash, he strolls along and always follows me. As soon as we head home, he pulls slightly because he wants to go home again (his safe haven). Elwood enjoys being close to people and always wanted to be with me. He slept on my bed every night or lay on the sofa next to me. Marvel likes to be by himself and asks for cuddles when needed. Outside, I tried to mentally stimulate both dogs (hiding food to look for, retrieving a bag of food, bringing frisbees/balls, being patient when leaving the property...). I brushed the dogs daily to minimize hair in the house. Marvel in particular was very fond of grooming. The dogs grew very close to my heart, it felt as if they were my dogs…. The house offers a lot, pool and whirlpool outside, home cinema on the first floor. However, I didn't need any of these things, I enjoyed the peace and quiet and loved spending time with the dogs or reading a book, watching TV. Communication ran smoothly and responses were always received within a short period of time. I'm grateful for this good first experience, thank you Lisa and Fletcher and Elwood+Marvel.
We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ryan and his family with a helpful overlap at the front side of the housesit. Communication was easy and clear with Ryan and he left a clear and helpful guide about both the house and animals. We adored bonding with the loving and energetic dogs, Rupert, Toby and Lucy, and the most chill outdoor cat you can imagine, Kitty. It was a fun housesit adventure. Walks with Rupert, Toby and Lucy in the neighborhood were fine. There's a beautiful canal trail near the house too, but we only explored it on bike rather than with the dogs. Lucy is still in training mode as the newest member of the family. The house is amazing, spacious and has all the amenities, it's in a wonderfully friendly neighborhood, close to the downtown area. The grounds around the house, decks, pool and yard areas to sit and relax in the back yard are fabulous. It's an honor to have housesat for Ryan's pets and home!
It is impossible to imagine a more magical catsit than looking after Peggy in Mary's home. From our first interaction, Mary was immensely warm, welcoming and thoughtful beyond compare. Every step of the way she made sure I had what I needed and felt looked after, consistently going above and beyond (even leaving me a basket of delicious goodies so I wouldn't be hungry upon arrival and having her cleaner come between me and the next sitter). It ended up feeling like I was sitting for a dear friend rather than for a stranger. As for Peggy, my companion for the week, she is the sweetest little cuddlebug. She is very easy to look after and very affectionate, purring loudly when you spend time with her. When she isn’t craving affection, she's very independent- using the loo outside (so there is no litterbox to clean), accessing the outdoors through a catflap, and agilely climbing up to her favorite nap spots. I loved my time with her. Mary's home is breathtakingly beautiful. It is a renovated old cottage full of beautiful artwork, books, and huge windows overlooking a valley and rolling hills. In addition to its many countryside charms, Mary's home has all the commodities you could dream of, including an incredible kitchen to cook in and a comfy bath for rainy days. Mary also has a stunning garden full of beautiful flowers which she encouraged me to pluck at any time. The cottage is minutes away from meadows and forests full of clearly demarcated trails. When I was there, there were also fields full of wild garlic and villages covered in wisteria and blooming trees. The village of Stroud is within walking distance (about 30 minutes) through clearly indicated paths in fields, making it a great sit for those without cars. Stroud has a wonderful farmer's market on Saturdays and a train that goes directly into London. I loved every minute of my catsit and can't recommend it highly enough. Many many thanks Mary!!
What a wonderful experience it was sitting for Arielle and John. First of all, both of them are just great people that trully care about their cats. Since the beginning they showed us how much the cats were loved and very well taken care of. How can we describe these cats? All 3 of them were so lovable, well behaved and just really liked being around us, which we adore! Kaneda, the king of the house, or the Theater Cat as we found out, was the whole time in our laps. He joined countless meetings and slept with us every night. Toast started being super shy and quickly opened up and wanted belly rubs all day long, if you see his belly, you will understand that this is the best thing ever! Beanie also started a bit shy, but in her sweet and kind way, she warmed up and followed us around everywhere, with little meows every time she wanted more attention. If it seems that we are in love with them, it is because we are!!! The apartment is a great place in the best location possible. We can't thank you enough for this great time we had!
Meredith’s place was lovely, such a great location within DC and a wonderful, cozy home. I loved staying there. The best part was cuddly, cute Kajsi, who is an easy going, sweet cat😊
