My time at their lovely home with Beatrice aka "Bea" the Golden Retriever was very relaxing! A sunny San Diego weekend near the water and walking paths, stores and restaurants all right outside their front door. Helpful kind neighbors added to the fun! Elizabeth gave me a house tour and all the notes needed to care for her home and the family pet! Lots of "porch sitting" out front to read, write and people watch (one of my favorite pastimes.) Playing with Bea and noticing how so many people wanted to stop and pet her on our walks was very cute.
We absolutely loved every second of our time with sweet, snuggly, and playful Iris! She's a real sweetheart who loves to play catch in the backyard (especially with her frisbees), go on daily walks (she loves to roll in the grass), and snuggle up with you on the couch. She's definitely food motivated - treats are a big deal. She was so easy and fun to care for. We instantly felt comfy in Sarah's home. She welcomed us with a quick dinner before hopping on the plane for her adventure, and we had a lovely time getting to know her. She is great to communicate with and all tasks were straightforward and easy to handle. Her home is clean, comfortable, and nice and bright with a beautiful garden, and just steps from the downtown. The neighborhood is nice and quiet too. Anacortes has some beautiful natural areas and historic sites to experience. We highly recommend this sit and would love to come back. Thank you Sarah :)
It was a real pleasure taking care of Rourky and Cookie in this beautiful house. Christina and David welcomed me warmly and, after instructions of the care-taking of the dogs was done, we had a lovely and delicious meal together. During my sit the communication was very good and I enjoyed my time there. David and Christina took care of everything and all was clearly communicated. Rourky and Cookie are 2 very sweet and well behaved dogs and I enjoyed my time there. Would love to come back and enjoy it again. Thank you Christina, David, Rourky and Cookie for the wonderful time! Dora was the sweetest little dog we've met and we miss her a lot already. She's a truly special dog. While she certainly has a lot of energy and can get distracted easily or pull during walks, she knows quite a few commands and is ever progressing. If you give her enough attention, play with her and be consistent with what she needs you will not have any trouble at all. The house is in a very quiet area but close to public transport and stores. Also nice hiking spots and trails within 30 minutes walk of the house. The house itself was very comfortable with an ample kitchen and lots of natural light. The room was big and very comfortable. We certainly enjoyed this sit and would be happy to take care of Dora anytime. About Liz, she was very friendly and respectful. She was near the station when we arrived so she even picked us up. She was very clear regarding Dora's needs and preferences. Her expectations were perfectly reasonable and nothing too hard to do.
This was a wonderful experience! Sarah and Andy were very kind and communicate. The house was clean and comfortable. They explained everything prior to leaving. Ty and River had great personalities and it was a pleasure getting to sit them! I didn’t have a car when visiting but I was still able to get around very easily and go wherever I needed to. Highly recommend this sit!
