Stefany has housesit for me and looked after my two dogs several times now. She is very responsible, trustworthy, and self-sufficient. She is tidy and always strips the bed, vacuums, and empties the trash unprompted before she leaves. I come back to a house that is somehow cleaner than how I left it and two tired, happy pups. I recommend Stefany as a sitter if you have the opportunity!
Kurt was fabulous! Sadie was so happy when we returned. We had constant updates from Kurt during our time away. Sadie for a little sick while we were away but Kurt followed our advice on diet and she was well on her way to feeling better by the time we got home! The house was spotless when we got back and even a few items fixed which was truely appreciated! All our neighbors commented on how great Kurt was - we have a close knit neighborhood so you are always bumping into the neighbors on walks and everyone knows Sadie! Was so nice to hear all the positive feedback! I sure hope Kurt can do another sit in the future.
What a wonderful sit. Sniff and Pickle are such bright, delightful cats it was a pleasure to spend the weekend with them. They are loving yet self sufficient. They love a good play, a brush, a cardboard box, to relax outside and above all, mealtimes :-) Lawrence and Annie’s home is beautiful, comfortable and a short walk from Norwich city centre. Communication was good and the welcome guide was packed with helpful info. Completely recommend this sit.
The sit was a positive experience! The home was lovely and Loretta was a sweetheart. She was so cuddly! There were a couple things that would make the next sit for Loretta better. 1. I wish I had received some more details about Loretta's habits and training status before the sit, like how she walks on a leash or reacts around kids/other pets. I still would have sit for Loretta, I just would have been better prepared. 2. Loretta had some matting when I arrived- it would have been nice if she was recently groomed so all I needed to do was maintenance brushing. As it was, I did a little brushing each day and was able to get some of the matting out.
This was such a wonderful sit experience! Marine is such an endearing cat; she has a big personality but at the same time is one of the most chill, goofy, and completely non-aggressive cats I've known. She's very people-oriented and loves attention but is also independent enough to be ok doing her own thing. She warmed up to me quickly, and I totally fell in love with her. The location was awesome as well! Marine's parents, Maggie and James, are super nice people, left helpful and clear instructions, and were very responsive to questions. Their home was super clean and aesthetically pleasing (just like the pics), with thoughtful small touches like bath salts and handmade soaps left out for me. This is also a fantastic, walkable location for exploring Fremont, which I hadn't spent much time in before and enjoyed. But the real gem of the stay for me was time spent with sweet Marine, who I miss already! I'd do this sit again in a heartbeat.
Antonia showed and explained everything to me before she went on her trip. I had a really good time with Minna. She is very easy-going, laid near me most of the time and we played too. Antonia responded quickly to any questions I had and made me feel very welcome in her home. I can only recommend cat-sitting for Antonia!
I feel very lucky to have matched with them for my first sit. They were very understanding and communicative as we all navigated unforeseen circumstances. They were welcoming and generous to offer connections to local spots and people. And they have a lovely home in a great community with a POOL :) The dogs were great -- Tazer is a patient and obedient older sweetie and Leo is like spawn from the Energizer bunny and loving sweetness (he's a pup so this could change). They gave me no problems and 'kept me young' as they say.

Kinley is always excited to spend time at Happy Hound Hotel, especially when water is involved 😉. Tawnia is so attentive to each individual dog and their needs. They each have their own kennel to stay in but a HUGE FENCED yard they can run around in but only when being supervised. They aren't left in the yard alone. She is very careful when accepting dogs to make sure there are no aggressive dogs. SO happy Tawnia opened Happy Hound Hotel because it is such a great fit for Kinley. We have been taking our senior dog to Happy Hound for over a year now. I’m so grateful to have found a kennel that my dog enjoys. They let her socialize with similarly mannered dogs so she gets exercise and stimulation but doesn’t over exert herself as a 14 yr old pup. This last time she got a nail trim and bath so when I picked her up she looked and smelled great. I also love that this is a family owned and operated business. I know I can trust them.

Tawnia is great with my fur child Chase. He loves going here and socializing. safe with lotsa exercise and reasonable cost. Tawnia sends me texts with photos of Chase playing while im gone. It’s very reassuring.
Tawnia is amazing and I highly recommend her! Della gets so excited when we pull up for drop offs. I know Della is safe and happy while in Tawnia's care. I also appreciate how accommodating she is with our last minute planning and crazy schedules.

We absolutely adore the Happy Hound Hotel! Tawnia went above and beyond to make sure my pup was comfortable for his stay and sent us messages to let us know how he was doing. She even made a huge effort to deep clean and brush him out (which is a feat for a giant breed dog!) which I was very thankful for. Moose can’t wait to return for another great stay at the Happy Hound Hotel!
Tawnia is amazing! Both my Dogs run to her as soon as they are out of my car and completely ignore me. I've been with her for a few years and don't trust anyone else with my dogs. She is awesome and very caring to my furbabies. 100000% recommend Tawnia to anyone who is looking for a daycare or boarding for a few days.
Highly recommend them! My dogs are happy to get out to play when we arrive in the am & happy when I pick them up. They wear down their energy playing all day while I am at work & I know they are safe. If my dogs talked, they would call it their daytime home. My pups have boarded overnight too & it has been just as great of an experience. They took extra time with my dog that was new to daycare & now he's like one of their own.
If you're looking for the best pet sitter, doggy daycare and/or dog groomer, look no more, you have found the BEST! Caren and Justin are the best! They care for your 4 legged family member as they would care for they're own. My Alaskan Malamute is a big fan of the doggy daycare 3 or 4 days a week. She can't wait to play with all of her buddies. Then comes home happy and ready for a nap.
We had a lovely experience leaving our pup Lukla with Caren while we visited Silver Falls State Park. She gave us great directions to help find their incredibly convenient location, made us feel very comfortable leaving our dog with her (our first doggy day care experience) and provided fabulous service with a smile throughout our interaction. Lukla was suitably exhausted from all the play time and slept for hours as soon as she got back in the car. On top of that she was clean, fresh and soft from her grooming after a week of camping, hiking & swimming with us in the forests and lakes of the PNW. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!!
I love this place!!! I have been boarding my dogs with Caron for as long as I can remember and I completely trust her with my fur baby's!! I also love that they are not in kennels all day but get to play in a huge fenced area. So no guilt leaving them when I know they are being loved and cared for. I highly recommend Caron.
I hate to write a bad review but I’ve got to share what happened to my little dog here. I want to say that this dog has never been boarded before and I picked this place for the “in home” atmosphere. First, it seemed a little funny when I dropped her off and wasn’t offered a tour (I should have insisted). I was suppose to meet the owner but she wasn’t there. She had a helper there who did seem attentive and capable so it felt ok. The owner did leave me a long message (I heard later) saying she wouldn’t be there so I felt like she had covered her bases. They did require proof of immunizations which I left with them. I had to fill out 3 pages of paperwork and it did feel legit. With that said, the home was a country home but absolutely filthy. I thought it was just a dog person thing but even my Husband said “it truly doesn’t have to be that bad.” I could look beyond the bad housekeeping, junk piled outside and weeds pulled and left all over the walkway in thinking my dog would be getting more love if she wasn’t busy mopping floors? I guess I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. My dog was there on a Tuesday at 11am and I picked her up on a Saturday at 3:30pm. My total was $215.00. When I picked my dog up she was covered in something sticky which is fine, they said it was ice cream. I had requested the dog get a bath prior to me picking her up (it was an option in a form). Clearly, the dog didn’t have a bath. The owner told me that over the weekend the dogs they had there all came down with kennel cough so I should watch for that. When we got in the car my dog seemed off. She wasn’t acting well at all. I looked at her closer only to be blown away by how awful she smelled. What I then noticed was black spots all over the dog. She was invaded and infested with large fleas. She had flea bites all over. She was miserable. It was awful. I brought her home and picked hundreds of fleas off of her and bathed her 4 times and have been working on controlling this problem. Our other dog (who was at home w/ our kids) I’m sure will be the next one w/ fleas. I’m going to have to treat my home and both dogs until this nightmare is over. I admit, I’m a bit of a clean freak so this is hard for me. I just can’t believe that I’ve sent a message to the owner with no response as of now. I spent a lot of money trying to do what I thought was best for my little pup but now I see it was not worth it. She is so sick from this. I did give them one star since my dog came home alive. I do believe I’m entitled to a refund for this nightmare I’m living.
Excellent facility. Personal attention given to animals. Great staff and clean safe areas for pets to sleep inside and run outside. They also now offer grooming, which I haven't tried for my dog, but I've heard good things.

Easily, if somewhat bumpy, access for a wheelchair. Lovely venue. Beautifully decorated, flowers a natural backdrop. Attended both a rehearsal dinner and wedding at this venue and had an amazing time at each. Bathroom facilities might put some people off but that is the cleanest, most well tended, wheelchair accessible port a potty I've ever seen. Worked beautifully for these gatherings.
My niece's wedding couldn't have been more perfect ! The setting reflected her and her husbands country roots - and centered around family. Quaint barn, under a beautiful willamette valley treed canopy ! Everything aligned beautifully, the roses were in full bloom, the sunset danced across the stars, as the stalls were filled with music, joy and laughter in celebration of their big day. It's a must see.
This is such a great location for an outdoor wedding! There are so many cute details and awesome amenities available with your package. Not to mention the owner is wonderful! He is very easy to work with and happy to help you get exactly what you want out of your experience! Highly recommend!

Penelope Pawprints was a wonderful vacation home for our Cat! My girlfriend and I left out Cat for about 2 weeks with Penny and our Cat had a wonderful time being social and enjoying the out door time. Pick up and drop off were made very simple by Penny and she is wonderful with communication willing to answer any questions you may have. We will definitly be coming back to Penelope Pawprints in the future!
Have used Penny's services for year's. She loves animals and has devoted herself to their care and well being. Ues her multiple times per year and would highly recommend her to everyone. We have 5 cats and they all love her.
Penny has come to my home and watched my two senior kitties with great care! It is such a relief to be able to leave them in their own home and know all their needs including special feeding and medications are being handled. On our return from trips, they didn’t even act like we had been gone! If you have cats you want to leave in their own home, call Penny!
I trust Penny 100% with my cats Beau and Lily. She has taken care of them more than once in my home, sometimes for 2-3 weeks. When I return from travels, my cats are relaxed and happy and I know she has taken excellent care of them She is loving, responsible, honest and is a lifetime animal lover. She's the best.

We took our two lil buddies to Penny’s and they had the time of their life! When ever we bring out our cats’ pet carriers they don’t freak out because they know they are going to paradise :) they always return perfectly brushed, exercised, and loved. If your looking for a place for your cats to stay this is the one for you! This isn’t the first time our cats have visited the cat cottage and it won’t be the last!
We are so fortunate to have Penny to care for our cats. We have a diabetic cat that is semi-feral and she is the only person that is able to care for her and give her the shots she needs. Without Penny's skilled handling of our cats we would not be able to vacation
This was by far the absolute best experience I have ever had boarding my cat while I was away for vacation. my sweet Cotton was taken care of, I even got pictures text to me of my baby while I was away! Penny is such a sweet lady, you will absolutely have peace of mind boarding your animals here!

I am super happy with the care my dogs received while at the purple pet lady! My corgi Tubby is my service dog and gets very bad anxiety when he’s away from my side! She was so caring and understanding with him, she even sent me pictures of him and updates on how he was doing! I definitely recommend this facility! If I’m ever in Silverton again I know where I’ll be leaving my fur children 🖤🖤 and the cost was extremely reasonable!!

Very nice pet sitter who is extremely reasonable. She seems to care for the dogs and has a few of her own. We have seen your dogs and she met their special needs. Often has quite a few dogs so make sure that your dogs are social. No frills but does the job.
She and her partner were super nice people who are great with animals. I had them watch my dogs while I went to a wedding and they were very accommodating with timing and my dogs' needs. I'd highly recommend this business.

Genuinely terrible experience. My mother went in with our dog (husky) on Saturday and had a great experience. He went through his boarding like a breeze and it took only 15 min for them to tell her yes! Looked like a great experience and she loved the place. Sounded like reservations were made and everything. Fast forward to today, I am the son and I was not there for the boarding. This blonde lady at the counter started asking me questions like as if we are going through another boarding. I did not know the answers because I wasn't the dogs primary care taker. She said there was no reservation, he has no records that he had been there and asked me if I knew if I was at the right place. She said "I don't feel comfortable taking him not knowing this information". All it took was a call to my mom... I felt completely judged based off of the experience and she asked me if I had anywhere else to take him... And no I did not. I have a cruise that I've spent thousands of dollars on and this is what's going to hold me up from going! Additionally, don't require someone to make your dog take a shot when you don't already have a booking available. We've spent too much money just for him to get boarded here with unnecessary shots that nobody else needed. Don't ever treat a customer like this again!
I left my dog for four days at the dog bark. I was very nervous about leaving her, not knowing how she would do. But with the cameras, I was able to check on her several times a day and saw she was doing fine. The staff are great with all the interaction and care they give to the dogs, they do an amazing job. I will definitely be using them again. Now I think my dog will be bored after seeing all they do lol. I will definitely take her once in a while for the interaction and socialization. I would highly recommend them. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby.

Last month we needed to visit our family in the Midwest for a couple of weeks. We chose The Dog Bark for our older dog Dulci to stay at because we wanted him to enjoy playing with other dogs so he didn’t worry about us not being around as much and so he had a good experience while we were away. Our dog has a lot of anxiety, and while he’s great with other dogs he can be moody with people. The staff at The Dog Bark did an amazing job working with him, accepting him and providing him with a great experience! I loved the doggy cams; when we were waiting for our flights we would log into what we called “Dulci TV”and it was great to be able to see our dog and see he was having a great time! I loved the friendliness of the staff and that they allowed me to bring him specialized meals and supplements. I was very happy when they emailed me when we were gone to let me know Dulci was doing well. The staff also worked hard to try to find a kennel for Dulci to stay in every night as I was worried about him not doing well in a crate as he is not crate trained. Overall, I highly recommend The Dog Bark to anyone, especially if your dog has anxiety, your dog will be in great hands!!
The Dog Bark was recommended to us by our local dog park community. We left our 8 month old husky girl for 8 days while we attended a wedding in O’ahu. This was the first time we have ever used a dog boarding service and the first time I have left my dog. I am a stay at home mom so I am with her 24/7. I loved that I could watch her from the cameras, I even called in to check up on her and the staff was very kind and let me know how she was doing. We go on several out of state trips and will be coming back to The Dog Bark. The only cons were that we missed out fur baby. ☺️
This facility is clean and has enthusiastic and helpful employees. You need to book far enough ahead of time to get a dog evaluation and a short daycare stay too see if your dogs are friendly.
My pup LOVES it here and so do we. We were having issues at home because we can't entertain our hyper girl 24 hours a day and she has so much energy that needs to get out. So Dog Bark is the perfect solution with very reasonable prices. Our girl gets so much play time with her friends she is exhausted and happy when she gets home. She is much more behaved even on days she doesn't go. I also love their cameras. We can check in on her and see her at anytime. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Edit: We have been part of the Dog Bark family for over a year now. Shannon and her team and just simply amazing. My girl is well taken care of and there is NEVER a worry in my mind when she is there.
I started bringing my dog here around may of ‘23. I really wanted to like this place as I need someone I can trust to take my pet. I brought my pet there many times but would look at the camera and there would be SO many dogs that they could hardly move around. My first thought was “oh those poor workers” and my 2nd was “what if a dog fight broke out”. This place doesn’t seem to cap the number of dogs they accept. My dog came home stressed and vocalizing when I saw her. Each time we went back she cried. We stopped going about a year ago and have found a daycare that has smaller sizes and more interactive play. They also don’t “punish” my dog with water if she jumps. There are many other places in Salem.
It has been a year now since my dogs have come here. Owner and staffs have provided fantastic care for my dogs whether it’s for daycare or boarding. We even boarded our dogs for 2 weeks straight once with no worries and came home to tired but satisfyingly happy dogs. Everytime I drop my husky off for daycare in the mornings he cannot wait to get inside and play. Everyone here is easy to work with, customer and dog friendly. I would recommend this facility for anyone who loves their pets and need someone to care for them when they are at work or away.
Love to take my dogs here. Staff is so nice and knows them as soon as we walk in. My pup with separation anxiety makes a big fuss whenever I drop him off but when I watch the stream I can see he's having fun. Much better than leaving him alone at home wondering if he's okay
