This was a great sit with the perfect kitty and homeowner. Purrvis is an adorable, loving but independent kitty. Katie has all aspects of his care organized and automated, so my job was to spend time loving on him. Purrvis loves to talk and is excellent company. :-) Katie's apartment is engaging, filled with eclectic art, books, and collectibles. I enjoyed exploring her vinyl collection and discovering books to add to my reading list. The apartment is in the Lakeview neighborhood, which is very walkable, with good restaurants, several grocery stores, and just about anything you'll need within a short walk. The main avenue has several vintage clothing and vinyl stores; there's even an audio exchange store offering new and used hi-fi equipment. There is a bus stop less than half a block away and the elevated train to take you anywhere in the city is about two blocks away, so a car isn't necessary. Katie was wonderful to communicate with before the sit. We had an introductory Zoom call, and a few days later, we met in person. She walked me through the apartment and explained every aspect of caring for her home and taking care of Purrvis. The Welcome Guide covered any questions not answered during our meet and greet. The Guide was clear, detailed, and included helpful information for any possible situation. During the sit, Katie was available via text if I had questions or concerns. The upstairs neighbors fed the semi-feral "working cats" during my stay. And although Katie prepared me for the possibility that I might find evidence of their nightly activity in the garden, luckily, it didn't happen during my stay. The back garden is a lovely, relaxing oasis of flowers, plants, and a small patio area. I spent most mornings sitting in the porch swing listening to the birds and reading. Thank you for welcoming me into your home, Katie, and for entrusting me with the care of Purrvis while you were away. Hope to see you and Purrvis again soon!
We spent a wonderful three weeks taking care of Heather’s and Paul’s two sweet cats and were sad to leave our new friends behind. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Heather was always available by WhatsApp if we had any questions, and she gave us a detailed guide with great suggestions on things to do, where to eat, info on the building and the surrounding area. While there is plenty to see in Vancouver, we were happy relaxing in their lovely home with our buddies, Cheese and BluBarry. The cats were great companions and enjoyed being with us. We felt so relaxed and at ease here. Heather and Paul are such lovely people, and the cats stole our hearts. Hopefully, we will return one day.
During my house sitting assignment in Salcombe, I had the pleasure of looking after Dylan, a loveable yet high-energy dog who required strong management. Dylan was wonderful with my little dog Sonny and proved to be a good companion on walks, showing excellent responsiveness and recall. However, it's important to note that Dylan has a sensitive stomach, particularly after swimming, so carrying a bottle of water on pavement and town walks is advisable to ensure you can clean up properly. Dylan's love for swimming with his ball and his enthusiasm for long walks and food are unmatched. If you're an avid walker, Dylan will be the perfect companion, as he never seems to tire. I would recommend this sit for those experienced with handling dogs. Due to the attention you need to have on Dylan, it might not be suitable to bring another dog if you're the sole caretaker. Salcombe itself is a gem on the British coastline, transitioning from a traditional bucket-and-spade resort to a chic destination. Visiting during the pre-season was ideal, as it was quiet and peaceful. The nearby beaches, particularly North Beach, were perfect for walks and playing in the sea. Salcombe offers everything you might need, with a vibrant atmosphere and charming local spots. Hosts Nicky and Jon were very informative, although a more detailed description of Dylan beforehand would have been helpful. The basement flat where I stayed was comfortable and quiet, with a lovely terrace that acts as a sun trap. One logistical note: if you're on an extended sit, be aware that you won't be able to receive post at the property. Communication with Nicky and Jon was excellent before, during, and after the sit. Overall, this was a rewarding experience, ideal for those who love dogs and enjoy coastal walks in a beautiful setting.
10/10 would recommend. Janey and the family were incredibly welcoming and left super clear instructions for me. Suki and Moo were a delight to look after and were great company. We had an amazing time with Hamish at Rachel's place. Her apartment is in the perfect location to explore Boston, in a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood, close to public transport, shops and restaurants. Hamish is a wonderful puppy that you'll fall in love with. He is the perfect companion for playing, cuddling, and walking around the area. It has also been a pleasure to meet Rachel, who gave us a very detailed welcome guide and stayed available all throughout our stay. We totally recommend and would love to sit again for them!
My husband and I stayed at Gabriela's house and took care of sweet Gable. Gable is adorable and has a kind heart and great character. The house was very comfortable as well. Overall we had a wonderful time :)

Wally absolutely adored his recent weeks holiday to VetSit, and from seeing all of the photos and updates it is no surprise why! He spent his days making lots of new pals, running around in the fields and charming lots of cuddles with all of the staff. We were anxious leaving him given how spoilt he is at home, but the regular photos on Instagram and on our VetSit account reassured us he had instantly been made one of the family. We came home to a happy, healthy Wally who will absolutely be back after the above and beyond care and fun he had at VetSit.
For the last couple of years our two dogs Lottie and Mia have gone weekly to Vetsit for doggy daycare and have also stayed overnight on a number of occasions. The team are so kind and caring. Mia is an older dog and Lottie is very small and can be nervous at times around other dogs, and the team cater to their needs and look after them so well, going above and beyond. They also get their grooming done at Vetsit during daycare every couple of months, and we regularly get compliments on how well groomed they are afterwards. I can’t recommend Vetsit enough!
Our two dogs stayed last weekend for their first overnight. We were really happy. The dogs were happy. Then staff are all very authentic and passionate about dogs. Lovely videos of our two dogs having fun in the field and we could see the nice warm sofas the dogs sleep on. The team take an individual approach to each dog. We are booked for a week now and I feel a lot of peace of mind in letting Katie Amy and the VetSit team mind our dogs.
My 2 pups have been visiting Vetsit for over two years now. The staff are excellent and always take such great care of them both. One of my dogs is very nervous and anxious, but LOVES her visits! My other is older and has had a few health issues. She is always well cared for. I could not recommend them enough.

Teidi and Daisy got on brilliantly at VetSit! We are so pleased that we have somewhere safe that can take care of both of our dogs. Our eldest, Teidi, has never been in a boarding environment before and usually gets minded by friends and family...which is much harder to arrange now that we have Daisy. VetSit was like a home from home. The dogs were well exercised and calm when they came home. The staff member who greeted us was so warm and reassuring. We are thrilled that we have found VetSit.
Lilly Pug has been going to VetSit regularly for daycare and boarding since she was old enough to do so, and she absolutely loves it! Lilly is very much a Mama's girl and VetSit is one of the few places she'll actively go into without a backward glance to check that I'm there too. She always comes home happy and tired out from having so much fun! VetSit's facilities are second to none with acres of fields for the dogs to run around and play, comfortable sleeping areas and a team of people who obviously love what they do and love the animals in their care. Simply put, they're the best in the business!
It was Molly’s first time at VetSit and she loved it! All the staff are always very friendly and helpful, and they really take a very good care of all dogs. Our 2 dogs absolutely loved their recent stay at vetsit. The team are so lovely and looked after the dogs so well. We were able to see the dogs each day on the Instagram updates and they always looked like they were loving the freedom of running around in the fields. One of our dogs is older and the girls were really conscious of this. I can highly recommend this for a lovely homely place to leave your loved ones… !
Linda and Russell are two in a billion. Our dog Buddy is blind and we simply would not leave him with anyone other than Woofs. He runs in the door to them every time, tail wagging! You will not find a more genuine, courteous, friendly and professional pair, who put the dogs first at all times. As they don’t do drop ins, the small number of dogs they take are all very comfortable together which makes for a wonderful, relaxed, home environment, particularly important for Buddy. We are incredibly lucky to have found them and couldn’t recommend them more.
Linda and Russell run an amazing business. They are incredibly attentive and welcomed Frank with open arms! I was very hesitant sending Frank off to doggie daycare initially, but from day 1 it was clear he felt right at home! Would highly recommend this service.

Linda and Russel are the most amazing couple who clearly love dogs. Bowie adores going to hang out with them and races in every morning! She comes home happy and tired from her day of playing and exploring the mountains. We have been going to Woof doggy daycare for three years and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
I cannot recommend Woof Doggie Day Care enough. My puppy was only 4 months old when he first went, and loved it from day one. As soon as I pulled up outside he’d bound towards the door tail wagging, and picking him up he’d be happy and tired. It was so nice to know I didn’t have to worry about him while I was at work. Linda and Russell are kind, caring and it’s clear they love every dog as their own, I’m moving abroad and only wish I could bring them with me! They are honestly the best in the business and I highly recommend them for minding your fur baby! I know Percy will miss them heaps.
Linda and Russell at Woof Doggie Day Care have been looking after my dog, Lily, for well over a year now. From the start, they always treated Lily like their own while she was with them; they cared for her so well, always providing regular updates to me on her activities and general well being. Lily has loved attending Woof and always so excited every morning we arrive for day care - she would literally drag me to the door, so eager to get in! Marx had his first hydrotherapy session here last week. Andrew the hydrotherapist is very good with the dogs and knows what he is doing. Marx isn't mad about water so I was surprised about how calm he was during his session.

My dog Charlie (Bichon x Maltese) is 12 years old and has never come out of a groom looking as cute as he did from The Canine Centre. We usually hold our breaths to see how odd he'll look after a groom, but honestly this time we've just been smothering him in attention and love that he's so adorable. Steph did such a great job with shaping his fur so he doesn't look like a skinny rat. Thank you so so much!
Our 4 year old bichon Pookie has had the best grooms ever here. We have tried all of the top groomers in the area and the canine Centre comes out on top by far. She also loves her 2 days a week in the doggie day care there and can’t contain herself as we drive in to drop her off. We recently got a new Maltese puppy Molly who also has a challenging coat. I was so stressed about the amount of matting when bringing her up for her first groom today. The groomer was so lovely and understanding about it and did an exceptional job without shaving her full coat. I cannot praise the canine Centre enough.
Nanook was very nervous for her groom, but everyone in the Canine Centre made sure she was well looked after and calm. Being a Cockapoo and knowing that she needs to be groomed regularly how the staff treated her reassured me she was in the best hands. She came back smelling beautifully and looking fantastic! Looking forward to her next appointment.
I wasn't there to drop off or pick up my dog but I came home to see what a great job the groomer had done!! Monty isn't the easiest of clients but Emma was well able to manage him and gave him a fantastic groom. Can't get over how good he looks - he's like a new dog!
All we have to say is Naomi and her gang are the best. Our Minni has been going to her for 11 years (since she was 2 I think. Now going on 13) for grooming they have always done a fab job. We tried another groomers once who did an awful job and since then it’s always back to Naomis place, they know how to groom according to the breed. Naomi, thank you for everything. I now work in a pet shop and I recommend you guys all the time.

Started taking my Lurcher pup here a few weeks ago. He loves it! Naomi and the staff are really helpful and attentive, they know all of the dogs personalities and requirements, and take excellent care of them. They also put loads of photos on their instagram which is a nice way to see what your dogs are are up to! They're also always available on the phone if you have any concerns. Complete peace of mind.
During the holidays, when it was very difficult to secure boarding for my cat, I had the good fortune to find Pup 'N' Pet Services in Blackrock. Samira-Lola Trimble was warm, kind, courteous as we made all the arrangements for 10 days of boarding. I was impressed by the professional approach to all documents to ensure a safe, agreeable arrangement. Throughout my time away, Pup 'N' Pet Services remained in contact to inform me of my cat's well-being, how she was thriving during the boarding experience. Truly, I appreciated those messages and videos. At the end of her stay, my cat was happy, healthy; she had clearly received very fine care. If you are seeking a warm, home environment for your pet while you are away, Pup 'N' Pet Services takes superb care of your beloved fur friend. Such a great service! We booked our puppy in with Pup n Pet for two days and an overnight in December. It was our puppy’s first night away from us and we weren’t sure how he would react. We needn’t have worried! From the moment he was collected, Samira and Cormac put him at ease. We got updates and pics over the course of his stay and he was as happy and calm arriving home as he had been heading off. Pup n Pet were so easy to deal and reliable with collection/drop off times.
