Pamela and Reed and their two wonderful children could not have been better housesitters. We got to know them a little before we left, and now we miss them and wish they had a reason to come back. Our dogs ADORED their kids, apparently followed them around all day, and received lessons in how to walk with a loose leash! We got pictures every evening describing the day's activities. We returned home to a house that was a LOT cleaner than I left it, and I left it clean. A garden salad, charcuterie and wine were waiting for us, the sheets were laundered and back on the bed and the dogs were so calm I almost didn't recognize them. If zeewoi ever makes a documentary, Pamela and her family should star in it.
They were a great team....dog and all. Finley has a new dog friend! Erica checked in with a few questions and sent pics daily of puppy fun and lots of affection. We met ahead, as that is always helpful and any confusions or concerns are worked out. The house was clean and fresh sheets on the bed when we got back late...TY! We had clarity, were on the same page, and felt Finley was in excellent hands. A+!!!
We had to cancel an unreliable sitter at the last minute and were lucky enough to secure Lisa Marie for the weekend… man, was she a life saver!! She communicated clearly with us (including photos of our animals living their best lives) and took exceptional care of our home, leaving it sparklingly clean, tidy, and bright with a fresh bouquet of flowers to welcome us home. Without our asking, she not only washed all the linens but then surprised us by remaking the bed so that when we staggered home after a grueling 10-hour drive we could simply fall into a clean bed. Our little dog requires medication twice a day (pills, disguised in food) and this she handled with the confidence of a pro. She is both fun and reliable, and it was with great comfort and ease that we left her in charge. She will be the first person we invite to return for future trips, with our fingers crossed that she will say yes!!
