We wish we could give Juliet more stars than the five allowed! She is absolutely fantastic! Top skill: extreme attention to detail, necessary for the well being of super senior pets. Juliet dealt with the conclusion of our pet’s antibiotics, and helped resolved a health issue with our pet. We received multiple daily updates, beautiful photos, and commentary on how our pet was doing. We even performed a WhatsApp video conference with her and our pet. When we can count on a mature, responsible and loving sitter like Juliet, leaving on a trip is less traumatic for the pet as well as the home owners. Juliet is welcome any time to our home. I absolutely adored my time at Janet's beautiful home with Lennie, Charlie, and Sascha. Since she was going to be leaving early in the morning, I came the night before to get situated. She was very welcoming and accommodating and gave me a thorough orientation of her home and garden. She also showed me some of Lennie's favorite walking spots around The Dalles and I really enjoyed getting to know her a little and learning about her life and travels. Her home is lovely, filled with art and beautiful objects from all around the world. That along with her extensive and well-kept gardens means that there is beauty everywhere you look. Oh and the views! Her home overlooks the Columbia river and the hills across from the Dalles. I absolutely fell in love with her pets. Lennie was an excellent companion on our walks and hikes. He is great off leash and is so good at waiting or coming when called. I loved meeting people on our walks because so many locals know him. He's so friendly and popular! He usually stayed close to me when I was in the house or watering the garden so we became great pals. The cats are quite independent but very sweet. Sascha is an affectionate lap kitty who loves to be around people. Charlie is a bit shy but when she warms up to you, she loves to be scratched behind her ears and has the sweetest purr. Whenever I had a question, Janet was easily reached by text and I had fun sharing updates and photos of my experiences with her pets. I loved everything about this sit and was sad to say goodbye to my new furry friends. I highly recommend housesitting for Janet and would love to come back again someday!
Tina and Jonathan did such a great job preparing the home for us. We spent the day before the sit getting familiar with the preferences for the dogs, cat, and chickens. Everything in the house was easy to find and in good working order. Hugo and Otto were excited, but well behaved. They loved going for long walks in the surrounding forest and on the beach. Both of the dogs were so fun to watch play! I highly recommend this sit for a fun and relaxing time in Denmark.
