Taking care of Guy was a wonderful experience. We miss him already. He is a sociable, playful, and affectionate cat. He would follow us everywhere and snuggle on the couch. He loved to jump on our laps or shoulders. Such a confident, friendly and adorable cat. Durham is located about fifteen minutes by bus and is a city with a stunning castle, which seems straight out of a fairy tale. It was one of the most beautiful places we ever visited in England, which contributed to an even more lovely experience. The house is beautiful and has an inspiring garden. Overall, it's a great place to work, including an office with a desk and lots of light. Joan was always so nice, since the first message and throughout our stay, as well as extremely easygoing and an excellent communicator. This made the sitting especially pleasant and welcoming. Clearly, this is a sitting we would love to repeat and that we highly recommend. Thank you so much for everything.
I had such a lovely two weeks looking after Saga at Ellie and Gavin’s place. They’re really nice people: easygoing, friendly and interesting. They were very thoughtful and made sure I felt at home. Saga is a real sweetheart, a little nervous (she’s especially shy of loud noises) but very affectionate once she’s calm. She’ll come find you during the day and purr up a storm. Ellie and Gavin’s place is wonderful — really clean and stylish. And East Dulwich is a really delightful neighbourhood, very trendy but warm and friendly too. Thanks for a really memorable and peaceful couple weeks!
Great animals and location. Zola and Domino like a walk and are well behaved and loveable. Skittles the kitten is very playful and independent. The hens lay fresh eggs for you every day and the Kune Kune pigs will grunt loudly to attract your attention! The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. Probably better to have a car but the village is only about a mile away with a well stocked community shop. I can recommend this sit . . .
We were glad we were available at the last minute as Ellen had a family member who needed her help suddenly. She was very helpful to give us all the information to care for dogs as she had to leave early before we arrived. The house was clean and organized. And the dogs were easy to care for and we were happy to care for them. Thank you 🙏
Chainsaw and Samurai were awesome! We loved how cuddly they were, and how sweet they were to one another. The home is very conveniently located to many stores and restaurants that were easy to walk or bike to. Kyle and Allison have a very cozy and comfortable home, and were very pleasant and easy to correspond with. We highly recommend this sit!
Virginia and Charles were lovely and welcoming to the whole family and we felt immediately at home on our arrival. Archie was so lovely and was a big hit with the whole family. We loved our time with him and the kids spent hours with him looking for perfect sticks. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

Absolutely amazing. We have indoor cats, chicken, rabbits, mice and fish. Kelly knew exactly what she was doing and was very knowledgeable, professionally and friendly. Was such a relief to find someone local with her experience and training. Will happily get Kelly's help again in the future and would be 100% happy to recommend to friend and family. Honestly can't rate Kelly highly enough.
Brilliant service. Remained flexible with our booking due to COVID restrictions with travel. Lots of pics and communication during the boarding period. Everything anyone would want from a boarding service. Will definitely be using again!

Very helpful and caring service
Phil worked with my dog to build up his confidence in being taken for walks (after having had another dog walker where he'd developed a fear of the van). Not only did Phil build up Otis' confidence, he built up mine, with photos, video clips to show me how Otis was progressing. Otis loves Phil and when I was taking Otis for a walk, I got dragged over to Phil by an excited Otis. I couldn't recommend highly enough!
I have had Phil and Alex look after our cat Peter for a number of years when we've taken a short break. We're always kept updated and know that he is safe hands whilst away. Would recommend.
Alex and Phil took great care of our cat Jamie while we were in Devon for the week. We were impressed right from the initial meeting where Alex was extremely thorough and Jamie seemed comfortable around her straight away. They went above and beyond, even cleaning up the remains of a mouse and putting our bin out for us, and we absolutely loved the daily report card on our return. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend to family & friends! We'll feel a lot less nervous about going away now we know we can trust them to look after Jamie for us (:
Many thanks to Alex and Phil for looking after our two cats Millie and Scoots for a week. Both cats are quite timid, especially Scoots, and have never been looked after by anyone outside of family who they know. It made a huge difference and was very reassuring to know that they were looked after in their own home. The daily log of their activities was interesting to read as it showed Phil had a real understanding of their true characters. We would highly recommend this service.
Great service from lovely people. I met with Alex before we went away and immediately trusted her to look after our cat. Our cat is very shy but was happy and content when we came back and coming home to a daily report card we knew she'd be cared for well. They also kept my chilli plants alive so very grateful for that! Would definitely recommend.
Alex and Phil provide a brilliant service, are friendly, reliable and often flexible when we need to change plans or book in last minute! Thoroughly recommend Petpals Basingstoke. Our cats are much happier being able to stay in their own home whilst we are away as well.
Phil looked after our cat Oscar for 15 days. It was our first time using Petpals and I wouldn't hesitate in using them again. Kept us updated with a daily log and came home to a contented cat.
Our 2.5 year old cockapoo Dusty has been walked (and loved) by the Petpals Basingstoke team for about 18 months ago and I can't recommend them highly enough. The care and love for the pets they look after is so very clear and Dusty gets stupidly excited just hearing the van turn up outside. Even though we've worked from home fully over the last year we've kept the walks as they are great socialisation and good for her happiness! So great to know that they can relied on, supporting at really short notice without any complaint and always making the dog number 1. Absolutely recommend to all!
So happy to have found Petpals Basingstoke. We have just came back from an 8days holiday and needed a reliable pet sitter to look after our two 20-months old kitties. The thought of leaving the cats by themselves was pretty nerve racking and cattery wasn't an option for us but Alex was fab. Came back to 2 happy kitties, as if we had never left. Highly recommended.
We left our 2 kittens with Alex for the whole weekend - 2 visits daily. They were both on medications so it wasn't an easy decision. Alex came to meet the kittens few days before and was keen to know their characters and habits. We also received text messages on Sat to confirm that they both eaten their medicines and they are doing fine. Over all - very pleasant and professional service.
Amazing service with great care. In our time with hilltop we had our little toy poodle Sunny ☀️🐕 have a training boarding experience and in his 2 weeks he gained lots of useful skills such as toilet training and commands along with confidence to interact with others. Sunny cannot wait to go back and see all of his new friends!!! A true happy camper
From the first moment we met Steph and the gang, we knew Hilltop would be a home from home setting for our boy and over the past year, we have used the day care facility and overnight boarding several times. We now have two Chihuahuas who love going on their little holidays at Hilltop, and we know they are treated like part of the family when they are there.

I send my dog to Hilltop several days each week and he loves it! Lots of activities for him to do, a group walk during the day and a garden to run around with his dog mates too. Steph is fab with him and does a great job of making sure that he enjoys his time there as well as putting footage of his day on instagram so I can see what he has been up to for the day.

Mabel had her first 10 day stay with Lucy at the Long Dog Hotel in August 2024 and we were so impressed with the love, care and attention she received while there. Lucy has an incredible amount of experience and passion for the breed. Her professionalism, thorough approach and just lovely personality made us feel really comfortable leaving Mabel in her care. Who we left Mabel with was a really important decision after she suffered from IVDD and had an operation in January of this year. The daily videos and messages while away were so lovely to receive and helped us relax and enjoy our holiday, knowing Mabel was having the best time and was happy. I would 100% recommend Lucy and the Long Dog Hotel. Mabel will be coming back !
Lucy and Simon are so wonderful and treat each pup like their own which is a huge comfort for those with slightly more shy pups. As fellow dachshund parents, it's so comforting to know that Long Dog Hotel have a wealth of experience and knowledge of the breed. Our pup Noodle loved her stay and she'll definitely be back for more cuddles and treats.
The Long Dog Hotel is absolutely wonderful! Lucy and Simon look after the little sausages incredibly well and provide regular updates with videos and photos. My two little girls are my world, but I know I can leave them at the Long Dog Hotel with complete confidence!

We know that if Lucy is looking after Weasley we can go and enjoy our holiday. Weasley loves his time at the Longdog hotel - Lucy cares for him as if he was hers - lots of cuddles and play and his favourite the ball pit! I can’t recommend Lucy highly enough she really understands and loves dachshunds.

Albus is my first dog and I always thought before he came home that we we just pop him in a kennels and off on our holidays we would go, how wrong was I. Like some others Albus is part of family and he has free run of our home and sleeps on our bed. After visiting a kennels I knew I could never send him and I started looking for a home from home for him and luckily a friend recommended Bounding Hounds and we have never looked back. Introductions started with a walk for us to meet each other and then visits started with a little day visit where Albus was able to familiarise himself in Rich's house - he happily made himself at home. Albus had his first sleepover at 11 months old, he is now 18 months and has had stayed on a number of occasions and cant get to the door quick enough and start his holidays. Rich always gives regular updates and always replies quickly when I check in. I truly cant recommend Bounding Hounds enough I know Albus is so well looked after and loved like he is at home when he is there, he gets to play with many other dogs when he is there. if you are looking for a home from home then Bounding hounds is the place to go.
Rich really knows how to look after dogs. He has all the relevant training and a real passion. When dogs visit they are provided with a home from home experience. They truly do become part of his family. With Bounding Hounds, your dog is in safe and loving hands.
I cannot recommend Bounding Hounds enough! Our dog raleigh loves going every week, spending time with other dogs, getting all the cuddles and generally being incredibly well looked after. Richard really understands the psychology of the dogs he looks after and takes a great deal of care making sure each one is looked after as the individually need. Also being first time dog owners, his advice and suggestions are invaluable. Truly a top quality service at a very reasonable rate.
We've had our beloved Hobbs cared for by Rich twice this year and we sometimes wonder if he's disappointed to come home! He looks forward to seeing Rich and finds it hard to hide his excitement on arrival! We never have to worry as are given regular texts and photographs of his daily activity (or sleeping) so we can just crack on with our holidays and look forward to seeing Hobbs on Insta or Facebook posing for the camera. I would 100% recommend Bounding Hounds. Rich understands dogs, takes time to know their personalities and is dedicated to making their stay fun and comfortable.... Muddy puddles and all!

This is the first time we have used Paws At Home. They were recommended to us. I was so happy with the care that my cats received. One loves a lot of attention and the other is very reserved and only likes a little. Hilary understood and accommodated both their needs. Hilary and her team are clearly cat lovers and look after them so well. The report sent at the end detailing what happened each day is a really great idea. Will definitely use them again and would recommend their services.

I usually only write reviews when I am very satisfied with a service. Last year I used the services of a hotel for cats, which I don't even want to remember. It was a terrible experience. This year we decided that our boy Max should stay in his house and have someone come to take care of him. I googled and found this wonderful team,, Paws at home limited". I read reviews and contacted them. It was the best choice, we will definitely be doing it again. Geoff looked after Max for 11 days. Days happy and peaceful for us and for Max who received a lot of love and attention in our absence. I have no words to thank this team. I recommend with all my heart you will not regret it as we wished. Good luck to this team in the future!
Paws at Home are absolutely wonderful. I absolutely trust them with my home and my cats, and you can tell how much they care and love what they do. I have used them numerous times and will continue to do so every time we go away - they are amazing. Whenever they come to collect/drop off keys you can see the bond between them and my cats (including one who is usually skittish!) as they are instantly right in their face wanting cuddles. Knowing my cats are not only looked after but cuddled and loved while we’re away gives me such peace of mind, and the updates they send are much appreciated. Thank you guys for all you do!

Hilary was very professional and very diligent with all the paperwork and information needed to make sure that her visits were smooth. Hilary was friendly and showed vast knowledge when it comes to cats, she was very caring and thoughtful with Stitchy's joint issues. Stitch was content when we got home!

Neil and Hayley have been great with our one year old dog, Peanut. They are extremely reliable and Peanut always has a great time and is still exhausted when we come home at the end of the day. We were really keen that he got to interact and play with other dogs and Hayley and Neil make sure that he gets to do that regularly in a safe and friendly environment. I would thoroughly recommend them to any dog owners that want to make sure that their dog gets looked after and exercised while they are away. The pictures that Hayley and Neil send are particularly good for giving peace of mind and it's nice to see Peanut with his new friends.
