Hounds Town is one of the best places to bring your dog for boarding or day care. They treated my boy Hobi (brown/white Beagle) like family while I was away for a week. Hobi looked so happy with the other dogs, and I know he was given lots of love while my family and I were away. There was an outbreak of Kennel Cough when he was there, but he was already vaccinated and caught a minor case of it. Overall, I love Hounds Town and I will definitely come again when I need to board Hobi or bring him to day care!
Our dog is considered one of the family so leaving him in a safe and trustworthy environment is of the utmost importance when go on vacation. Our dog (StanLee) is always excited to go to Hounds Town Garden City and the tell-tale sign he has a great time is he is exhausted when we pick him up. One nice personal touch that we get from Hounds Town Garden City is at they post pictures on their private Facebook page. We look forward to see him playing with his new canine friends. We typically see him playing and having a great time while burning some energy. However, we do see him up to some mischief with his hound friends (see the pictures below). We thoroughly enjoy the service we receive at Hounds Town Garden City and highly recommend them.
Great place that treats our four legged friends wonderful. They share photos of the dogs interacting with each other which lessens any stress about leaving them. I highly recommend them for day care or boarding.
Colleen, Lauren and the entire staff at Hounds Town do everything possible to make your dog feel at home, which allows families to have piece of mind when they're away. The facility is bright, clean and nicely decorated. They separate the dogs during playtime by size and take so many great pics of them together. When you're part of their FB group, you can see the photos of your fur baby having fun, which always brings a smile to your face. You have the option for an exit bath or spa treatment, which is great after a stay with lots of play. When our pup turned 2, we couldn't believe Hounds Town put up a sign, balloons, gave him a birthday crown and took pictures. How special!! The staff loves dogs and it's evident the minute you walk in the door and they see your fur baby. They are responsive, answer all of your questions and make you feel at ease. Many people in our town go to Hounds Town because of their incredible reputation. I highly recommended booking a stay or day care for your furry family friend! You can even schedule a 15 minute meet and greet prior to.
Staff are very welcoming to you and your dog. You know he is in safe hands and will be looked after. Sincere and kind o your dogs needs and to the owner. They have a excellent knowledge of a dog's behavior, which helps so much. Bailey loves going to play and knows he is safe, I know this too. They are exceptional! Best Ever!
Our baby beagles love going to hounds town twice a week! We love that they rotate the doggies so they have someone new to play with every so often. They get to go outside to get fresh air and sunshine. They are very tolerant of me calling on lunch to ask about my babies. Lastly we LOVE that they post pictures of the pups everyday so we know that they have a great time.
Highly recommend Hounds Town for boarding for your pet. We used Hounds Town for a week for our sweet 4yo lab. They were transparent about their facility, showed me where Parker would be sleeping and assured me that if anything were to happen with Parker they would call me and either go to Bond Vet or VEG, which are great vets. The owner called me to give me an update on Parker while we were on vacation and I felt so at ease knowing she was somewhere that she was safe and having a lot of fun at. There is indoor and outdoor space and they uploaded photos of Parker and the other dogs everyday to their FB group. Will be using again!!!!
The employees here are truly amazing! They treat your dog as if they are their own and it means so much! My dog is pretty attached to me, but when he gets to daycare, he runs in and doesn’t look back! Because of Houndstown, he is great in social environments with other dogs! Colleen, Sarah, Lauryn and Erin (as well as all the staff) are so good to my boy. There’s no greater comfort than knowing he is good while his momma works! Mr. Cooper loves hanging out with all his friends. I can’t thank the staff at HT enough for providing such a special place for my guy!
This was the best doggy day care ever!! My 10 month old puppy Lilo had the time of her life and was exhausted! Workers were so kind and caring about the dogs! She was there for 9 hours and got a little report card when I came to pick her up.
I had to leave my dog with hounds town garden city for an extended time frame. The staff took such good care of my dog for the many weeks he was there. He came back to me beautiful and happy, Barney loves the staff at HTGC. The boarding and day care are great. The people that work there are kind and attentive. I will continue to bring my dog to them. I trust them with him very much. I did not have to worry at all about my dog while he was there, I knew he was in good hands! Best place .
This place is HORRIBLE!!!!!! If you want your dog to almost DIE---this is the place to go. We dropped off our Frenchie to get grommed. We told them that he needs to be taken care of right away. They assured us that they know that Frenchies have difficulty breathing and would call us as soon as they were done. A call never came. We went to pick him up and they said that he was just about done. Our dog came out GASPING FOR AIR and STRUGGLING TO BREATHE. We questioned his condition and they said that "he was fine a minute ago". Our dog layed on the floor and proceed to throw up and continued struggling to breath. They had the name and address of an animal hospital near by, ready to give us. They were prepared for this. We rushed him to the hospitall where he continued to throw up. We arrived at the hospital and they told us that his lips were purple and he would have died if he arrived a few minutes later. They had to extubate him and gave him a series of medications as well as as a cooling jacket and ice baths to bring his temperature down. It was 103.8. We came to learn that the owner has now retired and moved to Florida and left her unqualified staff in charge. They put my dog in a cage and put a HOT fan directly blowing on him. He could not BREATHE and had an anxiety attach. We have no idea how long he was in this cage or how long the fan was blowing, as no on would give us answers. ANIMAL ABUSE!!!! This place needs to closed DOWN!!!!!!!!! The response from the owner is nothing but LIES!!!! She sits in her condo in Florida, (drinking coffee---her words) and manages her "unqualified" staff from thousands of miles away. What kind of owner does that???? She was not present at the location at the time, how can she speak to what exactly happened???? Her employees gave their account of the horrific incident---which is totally INACCURATE!!!! They did not tell the truth as they fear losing their job. She herself told me that "this would have never happened if I were there"... I'm not going to get into he said she said. I know what happened and my account is accurate. I've made it a mission of mine to make everyone in the neighborhood and on social media aware of this ANIMAL ABUSE. AGAIN, THIS BUSINESS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN------- I leave it up to the consumer----if you wish to take a chance on Jo-Mar and risk your beloved pet's health....go for it.
I visited Jo-Mar for the first time with Hercules. I am very impressed and satisfied with the experience. A special thank you to the entire staff. Cathy, Kevin and Brianna you all are absolutely amazing!
We were nervous about boarding our bulldog because we've had negative experiences in the past at other places.. This place was absolutely amazing and Cathy who's a bulldog and all around dog lover was totally fantastic with our dog. It put my mind at ease while we were away for 2 weeks. We had photos and updates sent to us and he was groomed as well. Thank you Jo Mar staff and Cathy! 💕
My dogs Kona the husky and Tiki the mix love Jo-Mar they get tons of attention and time in the kiddie pool and get their daily walks and lots of love - plus they come home smelling delicious after the bath they receive- I would highly recommend for overnight boarding -
Got our dog's nails trimmed, and anal glands expressed. No wait, and our little munchkin seemed happy and well taken care of. The place has been around for decades, and there's a reason for that. They treat YOUR pet (and you) very well. Good prices too.
These people are wonderful. I have left my dog with them.on several occasions while I travel, and they take such good care of him, and also administering his medication. Great people with animals.
It was our first time coming to Jo Mar and we were blown away. Our dog, Elton smells and looks amazing! We knew we were in good hands when they recognized his breed right away when we walked in. We’ve been to several different groomers and Jo Mar is by far the best in the quality of the groom, thoroughness and friendliness. We’re so happy to support a local business and will always bring our boy here!
Amazing first experience! Very friendly staff, you can just tell that everyone working there loves animals and wants the best for your dog. I took my 3 year old Golden for a full groom and he came out perfectly. The pricing was very reasonable and I will definitely be taking him back and highly recommend Jo-Mar to anyone needing a great local groomer!
They take real good care of my two doggos, whether grooming or boarding. Everyone is friendly and professional. They do a real nice job with the final shaping of the fur to suit the dog s shape. Nice work.
I took my puppy there for the first time. The receptionist was so nice when I made the appointment. It was a great experience. When I got there the groomer Peter came out to talk to me about the kind of cut I wanted. He was so helpful. He held my puppy and handled him so affectionately. I felt very comfortable leaving him there. When I picked him up I was so happy. He did a fantastic job. My puppy looked so handsome!! I will definitely recommend them to everyone. I give 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!!
