I don't feel I can add much to the excellent reviews Tamara already has, because they are all true and confirmed. Tamara is a great soul, took care of Rosie very well and looked after the house. She is caring, autonomous, tidy and extremely reliable. I saw happiness in my dog's eyes when I came back after a full month of absence! She clearly had a good time and was well looked after and fed.
Tamara knows her way to Dakar already, she is welcomed anytime as a sitter, friend and guest!

Melissa watched our peekapoos and fish (and home) while we were abroad. She was very well organized and right from the start I felt very good about having her stay in our home. While we were away she was proactive and sent us pictures of the dogs having fun (well, lying around, which is fun for them). When we came home everything was just as we left it. She did a great job, our animals were all safe and sound, and all in all everything was amazing.

Ria was very self-reliant and was a responsible pet and house sitter. She managed very nicely coming and going on her scooter. We came home to a clean house and two cats that were clearly relaxed (for them anyways). Our kitties can be a little hard to win over, but after a day or two Ria was able to earn their trust. Ria experienced a pretty severe heatwave for much of our absence, and was careful about keeping them in during the really hot days as requested. She seemed very caring about the cats and sent cute pics and videos. We would be glad to have Ria stay here again.

This is a tricky review to write. We have only given 5 stars for all our other petsits, but reviews need to be honest to be helpful, and this just wasn’t a five. 
  Certainly the setting with proximity to Smith Mountain Lake and the size of the house were impressive. We really enjoyed the water and especially the lovely trail at the Smith Mountain Lake park. 
I think this trip fell at a time when the pet parents were extremely busy. We use Trusted Housesitters for our own 3 dogs and cat so we certainly understand that it can be crazy getting ready for a trip and leaving our house clean and welcoming for sitters, although we always do. This sit did not feel that way, as our bathroom and other areas were not appropriately cleaned for us. We ended up needing to launder pet items and the dryer was left full of their clothes. They actually had just switched the clothes and started running it as they left the house. We know things happen, but it just didn’t feel prepped like our other sits or like we do for sitters. This is important to make others feel comfortable in someone’s home. 
  Champ was very sweet and well-behaved (not very energetic)and the 4 month old Finn was on the whole, a very good 4 month puppy (a big puppy)! He is excellent with his house training. Obviously he’s still learning leash manners, but enjoyed long walks. It seems we were the first THS sitters for Finn, and perhaps with his parents having been busy and being gone, he was stressed at night. Evidently, Finn had slept well through the night, as the listing said, but he did not for 2 out of the 4 nights, which was rather exhausting, which we weren’t counting on. Puppies are unpredictable so that’s definitely a risk we took. One night, he barked much of the night and another night the poor guy had massive diarrhea all over his crate and onto the floor. After lots of cleanup, he did not want back in the crate (can’t blame him!) so he slept on the floor with my husband in the recliner, with frequent bathroom trips outside. He was amazing for a pup for asking to go out for all subsequent diarrhea episodes. 
 We don’t mean to be hyper critical. Allison was kind in asking if we needed any groceries. I certainly can relate to crazy schedules. Hopefully, when they next go away they are able to prep a bit more and Finn can be less stressed overnight.
