My husband and I sat for Kris and Dave for over a month. It was a wonderful experience! Kris was easy to communicate with, left very clear directions about the animals and house. We were greeted with open arms and felt very comfortable right away. This experience exceeded our expectations and we’re immensely grateful for it! We feel like we truly got to experience life in Alaska. As for the views from the house, it was nothing short of spectacular—a quintessential Alaskan landscape which enhanced our stay even more. The 4 Dogs were so sweet - Frank was my buddy – he fell in love with me Day 1 and we just LOVED HIM! Little Dog was the sweetest thing, we nicked named her "Tiny Perfect Little Dog" since she was so easy to be with. Daisy the youngest dog, is so stinking lovable, she was constantly cracking us up. so full of energy but in a goofy silly way and then the next min she wanted to be smothered in affection. Jade was queen bee of the house, the wise older dog that has a heart of a pup who loved belly rubs. All 4 of them loved playing ball and snuggles. These dogs they were such a joy to watch! The family also had 4 guinea pigs, Mike was great about cleaning up after them they take a little bit of work cleaning out their pin area but Kris has the set-up and supplies that made it fairly easy. They make the cutest little noise when I would bring veggie treats. We were there in winter and some of the roads got a little slick around the house, so make sure to bring good winter shoes or take the dogs on daily hikes near by. They seemed prefer the hikes to neighborhood walks anyway. They are strong pullers on the leash but they listen really well. Kris had the house well stocked and was immaculate when we got there. she had great cleaning products so it was easy for us to maintain. We felt very comfortable living and working from their home.
We had a lovely sit in Kim and David’s home! Their place is very comfortable, clean and is in a great location. There are lots of places to walk around nearby to enjoy the greenery and nature, and they are just a short bus ride and train away from central Amsterdam. On top of that, we had lovely company! Chewie, Solo and Jury are the sweetest little trio. Chewie is an adorable lab who welcomed us upon arrival with lots of love. He’s very easy to care for, and he’s a lovely pup to walk. You’ll also find yourself being accompanied by Solo on the dog walks! Solo and Jury are very sweet little cats - and they both enjoyed lots head and tummy scratches. We really enjoyed our stay in Almere and hope to be back again one day :) Thank you all!
We had an amazing time with Buddy! We really fell in love with him! it´s a very well trained dog, affectionate, well-behaved, funny and an expert soccer player! Gina is really generous and easy going so we spent a great time in her house. If you are thinking if going to this house and meet Gina and Buddy, definitely do it! it is worth it!
We had the absolute pleasure of caring for Boo during her family’s vacation. Prior to the house sit, we met Boo and her family. We instantly clicked, and Boo’s wagging tail assured us we’d be great pals. She loved her “burrito bowl” meals, neighborhood walks, was thrilled to join us on our virtual work meetings and sporadic playtime with her toys with plenty of bouts of ‘zoomies’ with us! She was the perfect companion on car rides to downtown and loved to sit on the screened in porch and mostly by your side on the couch at night. Boo is one of the best trained pets we’ve encountered and upon her nightly routine knows exactly when to go to bed, but she makes sure you join her for bedtime to catch your zzz’s. All in all, Ms. Boo will capture your heart with her playfulness and sweet demeanor. It was a pure delight to pet sit for Terri and family. From initial contact, they were warm, friendly and provided a detailed welcome guide prior to arrival. We were thankful for the opportunity to work remotely while enjoying Boo’s company and some local events in town. We look forward to seeing Boo and her family again. If our schedules align, we will be sure to visit them when we return to the area.
Great house and even better pets! We loved the huge wonderful kitchen and the house was very comfortable. We LOVED Molly and she was a great dog to walk (short or long walks she liked them all). Roger was amazing. Such a lovable cat!!! My husband was trying to figure out how to take him home with us. Jake was adorable too and funny but wasn't as lovable (he was fun to play with). Ann Arbor is a great town to walk around and bike. Great house and pet sit!
Heidi was so welcoming. Felt like we could have easily been friends. Her home was lovely, country farm house style. I LOVED the bidet, Alexa and espresso machine! Her hobby farm was a joy. Not too much heavy work, but enough to feel connected to the farm life experience. I enjoyed the surrounding area of Old Toe Auburn, the American river, Nevada City and Yuba river. I had a great experience and would recommend staying here to anyone. One thing worth mentioning is that I had to clean and organize in order to feel cozy in the house. Just to note for sensitive people.
