Meredith
Meredith was lovely and taking care of the animals in her beautiful home was such a joy! It was a unique experience caring for the pigs, and Bagel and Podo were very sweet easy dogs. The location and neighborhood is lovely too. Meredith was always available with any questions I had and instructions for the animals and the home was very clear. Thank you again!

My stay with Otter in Brighton was lovely and comfortable! Mel from the get-go was very communicative and accommodating. When I arrived in town, she picked me up from the bus station which was so kind because I had heavy luggage. Mel's place is in a great location, with several nearby shops and, for those willing to take a longer stroll, a larger shopping area called Seven Dials. The nearby parks were also a great perk, offering lots of opportunity to get outside and see the community. The home itself was an absolute charmer, spacious and bright, with everything one could need. With thorough instructions from Mel, it was easy to keep the maintenance routines in order. I appreciated that she had a very organized recycling & compost system and was eco-conscious!

Mel has two dogs and the more energetic one, Georgie, was in the care of a dog walker during my solo stay. I took care of Otter who was an absolute gem and I’ve been missing her ever since! Otter’s well-mannered demeanor and unique personality make her a truly lovable dog. She’s so well trained that she can walk off-leash in parks and responds promptly to commands, which just adds to her sweet and easy going temperament. Her daily routine was pretty simple, but with some extra care needed due to a chronic leg issue that Mel has been diligently working to resolve. I did some physio exercises daily with Otter after our walks. Otter needed at least two, hour-long walks per day, preferably in one of the scenic spots that Mel typically visits. Having a car during the housesit is definitely advantageous, as these locations aren’t within walking distance.

Perhaps the best part of this house sit was getting to connect with Otter’s dog walker and reuniting Otter with her sister Georgie during the week. Walking with multiple dogs in the beautiful hills of Brighton was a blast and, and meeting new people was an added bonus. All in all, staying with Otter was a delight, and I’d do it again. I’d recommend staying at Mel’s - especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors and staying active!

Hen
What a great sit ! We have very clear instructions and communication from Hen on all the pet family routines and their home.

Betty and Peggy Lou are delightful and made us feel at home straight away, such well behaved dogs, very sociable, walk very well on and off the lead ,great recall, everything went so smoothly. The hens produced delicious eggs and the cats let us pet them too.

Their home is superb and spacious, very comfortable guest room with ensuite and set in the most peaceful surroundings with woodland walks directly from the door. Every walk we came across deer, hares and kites, its was all picture perfect !

Would fully recommend this sit and hope to return sometime soon. Phil&Liz

Alessia
The communication with Alessia was spectacular from the first moment, she confirmed very quickly, she is a very nice girl, she made me feel at home. Whisky is a very cute and calm kitten, you can always know what he wants with just a meow, he likes caresses, you will definitely love him. The house is in a good area and very well located, so if you have the opportunity to sit with Alessia it will be an excellent experience🙌🏽
Thanks 😊

Emily is a wonderful host, and Millie is the sweetest companion. Everything about this sit was easy and enjoyable. Emily made me feel right at home. Her home is located in such a beautiful, walkable historic district. Salisbury really is a neat, historic little town with lots of nature available. And Millie—she’s the best part. This little pup is so full of personality and love. She’s easy to care for and is happy to cuddle or give space when needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to pet sit again. Thanks, Em!
