Emma was an amazing sitter for my two cats! I was abroad for 2 weeks but I didn’t have to worry at all while I was gone. She took the time to understand all the directions before she arrived and even sent me her plane tickets so I could be sure she was coming. While she was sitting, she would send me adorable pictures of my cats, who looked so so happy! And she was extremely self-sufficient but also very communicative. When I came home my apartment looked amazing, and I was able to just relax after my long flight. Thanks Emma!
What a lovely house sit. Friendly and welcoming hosts who communicated well before, throughout and after the sit. House was comfortable, well equipped and in a beautiful location. Walks from the door along the river in both directions, that led to other tracks. Earlston, for basic supplies, was only a 5 min drive away. Schrondinger was easy to care for - she had set routines and was very friendly when you hung out with her in her safe space upstairs. The chooks were, well chooks - happy to see you for any treats and provided a few eggs every day. Thoroughly enjoyed this sit and would highly recommend.
I loved sitting for Desiree! I actually sat for her for over a month but as anyone who has used this website knows, it can be a bit finicky. So, with my long sit in mind, I would highly recommend staying at Desiree's place if you get the chance. She was very quick to answer any questions I had before the sit as well as during, and always made sure I was comfortable. Her animals are all nice, chill, and easy to love. They also love new ppl, though Magnus might take a little longer to warm up to you. Cuddling with them all at night was always something I looked forward to. Her house has truly amazing views of the islands- loved looking at it while drinking my morning tea. The town around is lovely as well with relaxing small town vibes that has everything u need within a 5 min. Drive. Desiree herself has bren kind, thoughtful, and very respectful of my time and energy. I can't recommend sitting for her enough, and I am excited for my next sit with Thor, Molly, Magnus, and Dante in a month. Thanks Desiree!
Zoe’s place was cozy with an atmosphere of whimiscal charm. Her cats— Lulu and Greta— were two sister cats that were really shy, loveable cats that reminded me of Friday the 13th — Black cats. The cats/sit was overall easy to take care of. and Zoe was fun + easy to communicate with!
We had a wonderful time during our three months stay at Robin and Marco's place. Autumn is a beautiful time of year in Umbria and being in the countryside enabled us to appreciate it fully. All the animals were a joy. Banjo has a sweet nature and is very welcoming. Orfeo is a mischievous young lad, full of energy and loves attention. Olympia is an affectionate princess who can hold her own with the boys. The three cats are very different but all affectionate in their own ways. Pandora and Orrazio are character filled donkeys who love attention and a good brush or pat. All the animals are very easy to care for. The house is reasonably isolated with some lovely walks in the woods near the house. The last 1.5km drive to the house is on a well maintained dirt road. Prior to that it's about 5 kms uphill from the more main road. All up it's about 15 mins drive to Baiano, the closest town with shops etc and about 20 kms from the house is the beautiful town of Spoleto that has everything you might need. There are also many other beautiful towns such as Assisi nearby and some stunning scenery. There is plenty to do around the property if you want to keep busy. Robin was at the property most of the time we were there and Marco was back and forward to Rome. We were able to get a number of projects ticked off in the garden and around the house while we were there . Robin introduced us to a number of her friends and made us feel very welcome. We had our own space in the converted chapel which is very comfortable. We also had access to lots of fruit and vegetables that were in season on the property which was a delicious bonus. All up a fun, enjoyable and interesting stay.
We had a great stay looking after young Tenzing. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Karen and Matthew. But the communication with Karen was great, quick reply’s and helpful. They have a lovely large home, right in the village with the river just through the park out the back. Lovely big garden area with outdoor living, perfect in the summer. The house is really comfortable, homely and clean. Tenzing is a character. He is very independent and you really don’t see much of him during the day, he’s not a lap cat, but will tolerate being picked up and cuddled for a few minutes. He has a very gentle nature and is easy going and enjoys some play time. He does get a bit chatty in the night, normally early in the morning. We recommend this sit.
Amanda was great to work with, very communicative and very organized. All of the pets were so friendly and special! Lots of nice cuddles and love while enjoying their beautifully upgraded home!
