I absolutely loved hanging out with Kona and Piper. They were great company while I worked during the day and while hanging out at night. Kona is very laid back and easy going. Piper has a lot of energy and really enjoyed running with me in the morning. Josh was great with communicating and letting me know what to expect. The house was beautiful and comfortable with everything I needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, easy to get to, and peaceful for our walks. I would love to come back and sit here again.
Housesitting for Dot and John was a fabulous experience. Daisy and Molly are delightful and possibly the cutest dogs ever. The chickens were also fun and entertaining and very easy to care for. The bonus their fresh eggs they nicely left daily. Frampton on the green is beautiful and was wonderful to explore. I highly recommend sitting for them. Also their house and gardens were amazingly beautiful.
Naomi and Rich are warm, welcoming, generous and appreciative hosts. Their home is comfortable and well-located, being about a 30-minute drive from some of the best paths on the north coast. Skye and Jasmine are both gentle, sweet-natured and an absolute pleasure to look after. Jasmine is chatty and independent. She mostly entertained herself hunting in the garden and orchard, but she had no trouble communicating her needs to us lol! Syke is adorable and probably the most intelligent dog we’ve ever sat for. She is intuitive and recognises an extensive vocabulary. She benefits from a lot of exercise and/or mental stimulation. If she has the opportunity to go in the sea, she will be the happiest dog ever. Skye was in season when we were there so we had to take added precautions when out walking, but even so, she was very well-behaved. As Naomi says, “the best dog in the whole world”. We agree, and quite fell in love with her. We very much appreciated the use of the sauna. It was amazing to warm up after a cold, wet walk. Thank you so much Naomi and Rich (and Theo). We’d happily recommend this sit to others and would love to come again if dates align. J&A xx
We had a very lovely long weekend! Peter and Em are generous, flexible and easy to communicate with, lovely people. Lemon is very sweet and well behaved; she is young and full of energy and excitement, but absolutely a joy to have around and easy to manage. Our little girl is very petit, almost the same size as Lemon, and they became best friends! We had so many sweet little moments with Lemon! House is very comfortable and a nice walk (about 20 mins) to the city centre. York is a gem of a city with lots of things to do. Around the corner from the house there is a lovely big green area and 2 minutes away a co-op and a pretty park with playground. We would be very excited to come back anytime! Thank you, Peter and Em, for trusting us with your sweet girl Lemon!
Amanda & Gabi were incredible hosts and helped me feel so welcome at their home in NYC - before, during and after my sit for Griffin & Turner! I actually ended up moving to New York at that time, and they helped make the transition so seamless - they went above and beyond what I would expect from any hosts! Being greeted by sweet Griffin & Turner upon arrival to New York was so heartwarming. There is a lot of love in the home (sweet art projects from their children, etc.) Their pups are so loving and adorable - It was nice to have so much time with the doggos so they could settle into our sit routine, and Griffin could warm up to being cuddly too! Experience with older dogs is helpful for this sit, but they are young pups at heart (Turner especially!) I loved cuddling with Turner out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings, and taking both of them for little walks around the block. It’s a very safe neighborhood with doorman buildings and so many conveniences nearby. Exploring Central Park was lovely, and Gabi provided a full list of local restaurants, bars, etc to check out which was super nice. Thank you again to Amanda & Gabi (and Griffin & Turner) for an incredible sit experience in NYC!
Dave's house was very easy to stay in. All that's needed was there for sitter comfort. Tasha is a beautiful and amazing dog. Super smart and sweet and easy to care for. A very quiet home and neighborhood and not too far away from the local town if you wanted to drive around a bit. The information Dave left was very detailed and gave me comfort in knowing how to care for Tasha and his home. I highly recommend a stay at Dave and Tasha's! Jonathan
