I met with Peggianne and Dimas at their home the day before I began my sit. They were very nice and friendly and gave me clear explanations of how to care for their pets. All of that was also available in writing in the house and online. Their house was clean, neat, and very comfortable, even in the hot weather we had when I was there. Chelsey, the black lab, really enjoyed playing catch in the large, fenced backyard. All the animals were easy to care for, and in fact, the parrot, Woodrow, didn’t require any care at all for my short, three day, two night, sit. I would be happy to sit at Peggy and Dimas’ house again and care for their easygoing animals.
Such a great location, the pets warm up to strangers, though they’re in trustful at start.
Francesca and Paul welcomed us into their fantastic home and made us feel like we were in our own, thanks to their naturalness and openness. The explanations regarding the care of the animals and the house were so clear that we had nothing else to do but enjoy the experience. Taking care of Liquorice has rejuvenated us. His cheerful and affectionate character won us over from the first moment. It is pure energy, but of a nobility difficult to see in an animal of that power. After his little time of games and walks, he is ready to be snuggled like a baby. Pocoyo is sweet but nobody teases him... he has his character. We have really enjoyed his enthusiasm for caresses and hugs. He is always ready for all the attention you want to give him. Mouse is a character. He lives his life but, at the end of the day, he seeks the company of the gang. Twilight was love at first sight. He accepted us from the first moment and received us when we got home, looking for his portion of caresses... Pumpkin was always around us doing his tricks and looking for a scratching human. It's lovely to come home and hang out watching the hypnotic coming and going of the colorful fish. The light and the sound of the water is super relaxing.
We felt blessed, not only to stay at Brian & Janet’s place, but to get to know and spend some time with them too. They were wonderfully kind and generous to us. Their apartment is perfectly located to reach to the beach, the national park or the mountains. Matti is a very sweet, gentle and wise dog, and really just wants to be close to people. We hope we can back again soon!
This was an amazing, relaxing sit looking after two very affectionate and loving cats in a wonderful part of France. We were met with open arms by Vanessa and Thor and immediately felt at ease and comfortable in their wonderful home which enjoys spectacular views looking out towards Aix-en-Provence and over to the distant mountains, both of which we were so lucky to have had the opportunity to explore. Ezme and Zouzou were superb, very photogenic, companions and would keep us entertained with their antics - Zouzou in particular with his boundless youthful energy and Ezme with her tolerance of him and appetite for a lap to sit on. There was no doubt as to who was in charge between them, and Zouzou would patiently wait his turn to eat! Communication with Vanessa was effortless and uncomplicated - this was a great sit all round and we would highly recommend it to anybody. Thank you for allowing us to house sit for you.
Huggo and Penny are sweet and gentle dogs. Wendy has been easy to communicate with and her place was cosy and welcoming.
