Thanks Miriam and Karsten for your loving care of the horses and the house. It was just a joy to have you around and very easy to entrust my home and the animals to you. Ramino and La Dona obviously enjoyed your cuddles very much. I was so happy to see them in perfect condition and completely relaxed. Wonderful. And what a nice Welcome Home. Everything was spotlessly clean, laundry already washed and dried, stable almost cleaner than I had left it. Not the merest extra work for me. Even the fridge was replenished with some fresh veggies and fruit. What more could I have asked for. I’m happy that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again for a next sit. For all house and pet owners: Even if 5 stars is the best rating, Miriam and Karsten deserve 6 :-)

Maritta

Maritta was great at keeping me informed and I was happy leaving Silkie and my home in her care. I worry that she is preferring my sitters to me. It was great to spend some time with Maritta on my return and have a delicious meal prepared. Such a kind, thoughtful person.

Martin & Carolin

Martin and Carolin were wonderful cat sitters, were responsive and easy to communicate with, and left our apartment in good condition. We would recommend them as future pet sitters!

Ute

Ute was a wonderful house sitter for two weeks in August. She had a long list of tasks! Looking after our loved Burmese cat Axel, watching over our three chickens (no small task in the height of summer: feeding, watering and letting them roam) and watering our garden, veggie patch and house plants. She was over with her daughter and I couldn't have felt more comfortable that they were caring for the house and the animals in our absence. On our return, the house was spotless and they had left us some lovely gifts in the fridge. She really is a 6 star house sitter. Thank you Ute. Jessica

Luisa was lovely to our two cats, Lulu and Tao. They warmed up to them in no time and it was so great to know they were here caring for them whilst we were away. They were extremely tidy and I would recommend them to anyone.

Shirin

I am so grateful to have had Shirin stay with my cats over our recent trip. Every day or so Steve or I would would say aloud, "thank goodness Shirin is there". She gave each of them the extra care and attention they needed - so much so that the one took his medicine every day and our shy one was hopping up on her lap for pets. Shirin kept me up to date is pictures and messages, she left our house plants in better shape than when we left and the apartment felt well lived in and enjoyed. I could not recommend Shirin more highly and hope she will consider a trip back to Geneva to stay with Oscar and Sylvia. Thank you.

Christine is very competent and carried out her house sitting duties well. Christine looked after my cat with care. Watered the plants regularly and kept the house tidy. I was happy to have entrusted my home to Christine.

Liv & Ilenia

We so enjoyed Liv & Samy. They are a young couple with an easy going, calm and kind energy. Our home was left clean, they listened and asked questions in the handover and generally did everything needed for our home. We are attached to our doggo and they humoured us with daily communication and lots of photos. He was well cared of and they took lots of photos on the outdoor walks, adventures, etc that they took Magnus on. I would reccomend them to anyone and I'm sad that they are no longer in our city.

Melanie & Rolf

Mel, Rolf and their son Samuel looked after our 2 dogs, 2 cats and small flock of chickens for 10 days this July. As you'll see they have many great reveiws on TH and we can only join in by saying that they did a fantastic job from start to finish. They're a very organised family, who clearly have a lot of experience of house and animal-sitting. The handover was quick and easy - much faster than is usually the case, as Mel immediately understood what was needed and didn't have to ask twice. They are great communicators and we were sent picture updates of the family out on walks with the dogs and cats. They managed Bonny, our new goofy rescue Golden Retriever, who can be a bit of a handful, without complaint. We even came home to a loaf of delicious, freshly baked bread. Virginia was an excellent choice for us as a sitter. She communicated well, was helpful in every way, including helping us pack up the car, and our dog loved her. She was very responsible about her obligations, and took care of our extensive yard in the extreme summer heat. The house was cleaner than when we left, and she even harvested our tomatoes and made an olive oil blend. 
Virginia sat for us twice, which was such a gift as she got along so well with Foodie. We are grateful to her for her care and attentiveness.

Mary and Lindsay are considerate and kind hosts, who very much want the best for their dog, Guy, but who also want the sitter to be as happy and comfortable as possible. This really stood out for me.  Communication was excellent both before and during the sit.They were very generous and thoughtfully made their lovely sea facing bedroom available to me so it was great to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. Their flat is exactly as described and in a fantastic location for beaches, eating out and town. Guy is such a loving , intelligent dog, we bonded very easily and his enthusiasm for walkies and play ( and me!!!) was very endearing. Mary describes very accurately in her listing how Guy can be when outside of the security of his home - he's a young dog, developing all the time after a difficult start in life so inevitably some things can trigger a reaction in him and the sitter does need to be focussed on Guy and his immediate surroundings at all times when out of the house to reassure and control him.  My five star recommendation for this sit is very much aimed at experienced and confident sitters.
