PERFECT PERCY It was a real pleasure to spend time with black lab Percy, he is a super dog and I miss him already. He is calm, well-trained, fun-loving and very cuddly too. He seemed to settle instantly and was very relaxed. He loved meeting playmates on walks and having chase games. Just two toots on the whistle and he returns with his tongue hanging out. Percy must stay in his basket at mealtimes and never even needed to be reminded of this so he makes a sitter's life very easy indeed. Percy is very aware of his human carer and checks on you, he rushed back to me when I slipped on a step. He has lots of energy. We walked Hoodown woods and did two long SW Coast path walks as well as having beach fun and playing fetch in the local park and community orchard. Jake and Julie have a wonderful, comfortable home with amazing views. They were always communicative, thoughtful and kind. We stayed in touch daily throughout the sit although this was just to share fun photos of Percy the poppet. It was a super relaxing breakaway. Dartmouth has much to offer but watch your diet with all those pasties, scones, ice-creams and cakes. There is a traditional butcher and a fishmonger too. There is so much to enjoy right from the doorstep, scenery is spectacular with local places of historic interest as well. Nothing could have improved the happiest and loveliest sit. Thank you very much indeed to Jake and Julie.
This sit fulfilled my homesteading dreams. Seeing their horse Hemi running through the field and seeing their goats play with their puppies. Loved this opportunity. I would definitely sit for them again.
Really fun area and companions. Canelle is a great hiking companion and loves to play chase in the house. Augi is king of the castle and once he warms up to you will be in everything you do. Cuddles from Canelle are superb! Home is super comfy in a quiet neighborhood where you have easy access to busses and hiking, biking trails. Beware of bears!! Beautiful scenery surrounds you! Sharra has been grooming my dogs for many years. She is incredibly good with them. They always look beautiful after their bath and cut.
We are extremely happy with the services provided by Best Friends. We have been bringing our dog, Abbey since she was puppy. We use the Doggy Day Camp, Grooming services and Boarding. Everyone at Best Friends are polite and very kind to Abbey. We use their boarding service many times during a year.
We have been going here for about a year and my doodle loves it. The staff is super caring and Zeus enjoys his time there. Heidi and Katie are wonderful and really care about the fur campers. Grooming is readily available and always with a good outcome. Highly recommend!
Our 2 dogs, Ace & Cookie love Best Friends in Sudbury! We have used them for boarding & grooming. The staff does such an amazing job taking care of our pets while we are away. Our kids love to check up on them through their petcam during the play group sessions. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The grooming service my dog Luna received was excellent. It really helped lesson the shedding (yellow Lab)! Luna was calm and happy to return to the friendly groomers.

I can’t stop raving about Best Friends, Sudbury, and if my pup, Henri, could talk, he’d be saying “WOOF, WOOF!” in total agreement. Mary took away all of our anxiety about leaving our three month old puppy alone. In December we got the first puppy of our lifetimes and, being retired, we stayed at home for three months doting on her. When friends came to meet Beazie, we observed that she was timid and it took her a while to become comfortable with each new person. We dreaded the inevitable time when we would both have to be away from the house and leave her in the care of someone else. Mary volunteered to come for a meet and greet prior to our first pet sitting appointment. She requested that we run through Beazie’s entire potty routine from beginning to end to accustom Beazie to her presence. Mary instinctively knew how to approach Beazie in a way that helped her become more at ease. She brought treats and a special toy which continues to be her favorite as she approaches her first birthday. After only a few minutes, Beazie was settled in her lap without fear and Mary’s love of animals was clearly on display. Her practical knowledge of animals and their behavior has been incredibly valuable as we have never raised a dog. Mary is friendly, trustworthy, flexible and dependable. We never worry a minute when we are away from the house. We don’t know what we would do without Mary. Neither does Beazie!
I can't say enough good things about Mary Littlefield who takes care of our very timid cat when we travel, which we do often. Miss Violet usually streaks upstairs when she hears a car pull into the driveway, and there she keeps watch from the top step, expecting pillage and mayhem and the demise of us all .... unless it's Mary. Then she comes downstairs quickly and purrs loudly while directing long, meaningful glances toward her sitter. She's utterly shameless in her admiration for Mary. We try to ignore Miss Violet's outlandish behaviour, but sometimes wonder if we should spend more time at home -- put a little damper on this foolish infatuation. There was a crisis three years ago when Miss Violet swallowed a long string, and we weren't due back for another week. Mary handled the situation beautifully and kept us abreast of what was going on before and after the procedure to remove it. (Thanks, Mary!) Mary has apologized for endearing herself so to Miss Vi, and we forgive her wholeheartedly. She's become indispensable to our gadabout family. I can't recommend Mary Littlefield highly enough to anyone who travels and needs to leave a shy kitty at home.

Above & Beyond Pet Services is wonderful. I transitioned my King Charles Cavalier to dog walks about 12 months ago from doggie daycare as I realized he preferred the one on one attention. Sophia has been his primary walker for several months now. She is very attentive to Asher and will always mention in her notes if she notices anything out of the ordinary. I met her and she is very kind and caring. I know that Asher is in good hands and that she is able to adjust to his needs each day which differ based on my schedule with him and if we walked the prior night or earlier in the morning. I know that he looks forward to spending time with her whether they walk or play depending on his needs for the day I know she is giving him lots of love and attention. I've been using Above & Beyond for years, and they've always done a great job taking care of my two cats. I have them bring in my mail, in addition to putting out food and water, and scooping the litter. I get nervous about leaving my cats for trips, but the daily email updates A&B sends with photos of the cats and the services they're doing really puts my mind at ease. 2 years ago we welcomed a new dog into our family. Since then It has been more work than I had planned. Due to our work schedule we needed someone to take Waggs for a walk once to twice a day and some occasional pet sitting. Through a family recommendation we hired Shivaun Pryor. She has been wonderful over the past 2 years. She is always on time for her walks and is a wonderful person and take care and has a love for Waggs!
Shivaun has taken care of our dogs and cats for over 15 years. We have never looked elsewhere because of her reliability, service, and reasonable fees. She has done daily dog walks during the weeks through the lives of two boxers and cared for dogs and cats while we have been gone on vacation or visiting family. Whenever we had emergency travel she would step up and do whatever we needed. I have never had a concern with her in our house or taking care of our pets. In addition to pet care, she has run errands for us when needed, picked up or dropped off packages, etc. She has done house cleaning for us and we have always been happy with the results. Finding someone as reliable as Shivaun has certainly made our life easier and I highly recommend her services to you.
Shivaun has been been pet sitting for my cats, multiple times a year, for over 8 years. She also waters the plants and brings in the mail. We never had any issues. She is very responsible and responsive. She even takes pictures of our cats, and send them to us, when we are on long vacations (she knows we miss them), and we really appreciate that gesture.

Annie was my sitter for my cat Brendan when I temporarily lived in Waltham for work. Annie took care of Brendan on a few last minute urgent occasions. Once I was gone for 2 weeks. She really saved me. She’s a lovely person who truly loves animals. When I returned from being out of town Brendan always looked content and litter box clean. You and your pet will love Annie.

Acton Critter Sitters has been taken care of our cats for 1 1/2 to 2 years now and we are always at ease when we leave our cats with them. One of our cats was sick and they took great care of him making sure he took his medication. They are great about giving us a message when they visit and telling us how things are going. I recommend them to everyone i know!
Extremely happy with their service for the past year! They have always been punctual and responsive (text and portal). The online portal is very easy to use. My pup requires insulin shots and other meds and a special food prep, and is a little antisocial, but the team handled it perfectly. They always followed the instructions down to re-filling the water bowl and using her harness, and Lisa even made a few friends during boarding. Much appreciation for Clare, Jen, and the rest of the team.

My sitter feeds him, cleans up everything (even puke!), scoops the litter box, spends a little time playing, and leaves a report card that always makes me feel better when I return. When I lived in Fenway I used to use Rover for all my pet sitting needs. But it was a pricy service and I had to do a lot of research and vetting when choosing someone who would look after our small dog. I moved to Brighton during the pandemic and have since relied on Happy Pet Care for all our walking and sitting needs. Mary, the owner is extremely good at communicating. She is quick to schedule us in even the night before (so sorry Mary). We set up autopay so I don't have to worry about the hassle and with fixed rates every time I know exactly what the cost will be upfront as opposed to Rover which can charge me different rates depending on who is working. Happy Pet Care did increase their prices during the end of the pandemic to adjust for the rise in cost of living. I appreciated the transparency about the cost increase and the sensitivity with which it was communicated to me. I would also like to personally recommend Debra, who has cared for our dog multiple times. I feel that everyone at Happy Pet Care gets to know my dog, and seeing the same people get to know her makes me feel secure that she is in good hands and that she can recognize who is caring for her without the added stress of meeting a stranger. Happy Pet Care is a great small business that we can rely on. I have been recommending their services to new dog owners in the area and I would certainly recommend them to you.
I needed a dog walker in Brighton for our new rescue and came across glowing reviews for Happy Pet Care. They are professional, super flexible, and really care about your pet. Mary is very easy to work with and very responsive. Our first meeting was with Jen and she was great with our dog and asked all the right questions. Sean was our main dog walker and he was so caring with our dog - she is 12 years old and he never got annoyed with how slow she needed to walk. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality care you get. We will greatly miss their services in the suburbs!
We've been using Happy Pet Care for dog walks 2-3 times per week since we adopted our lab mix puppy (now over a year ago). Mary is always so responsive, kind and flexible - which is so important when you have a dog. There have been multiple occasions where we need to switch days, length of walks, or add on an additional walk. Mary has almost always been able to accommodate us! Our walker is mostly either Sophia, Jen, or Mary herself. My pup can be nervous around new people when her humans aren't around, and they have all been wonderfully patient with our pup. Thanks for helping us care for our fur baby! Updated review: It has now been 2.5 years using Happy Pet Care. We could not ask for a better, more reliable, patient, understanding, and kind dog walking service. We've had Mary, Sophia, Jen, Matt, and Debra walk our pup - and they've all been great. Mary is always very responsive, and easy to work with, even with last minute changes. Additionally, her prices have not gone up, while other services we use for our pup have. The dog walks are high quality with a great price, and a lot of flexibility (because life happens). We're sad that our pup won't have them for her mid day walks while we're at work after we move.
I spent two weeks out of town and Lisa from Happy Pet Care came by my apartment twice a day to look after my rabbit, Auggie. I've never left my bun alone for a such a long time and was initially anxious about the separation, but Lisa was wonderful in every way. First, she had previous experience caring for her own rabbit, which was important to me because rabbits are nonverbal creatures and require someone who is familiar with their signs of illness or distress. Second, she sent sweet text and photos updates of Auggie twice a day, and it was apparent that he was both happy and comfortable in her care. Third, Lisa went above and beyond in caring for my bun--she weathered fierce storms to check on him, doted on him with his favorite salad greens, arranged a last-minute emergency visit when my flight home was delayed, and showered him with so much affection that not once did I worry about Auggie during the two weeks that I was gone. Can't recommend Happy Pet Care enough, and Ms. Lisa especially! She's my go-to gal from here on out whenever I'm heading out of town.

I highly recommend this place if you don't want your dog to be lumped together with many dogs as in Pet Smart. In Pet Nanny they took care well of my dog when I went on a trip. I left something here after the long trip and my dog was very happy to come back and greeting the house owner and eager to enter again to the house. That says it all.

We used A Better Way for the first time (twice!) in August and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable pet sitter. We recently took in a senior cat and needed someone to look after him during a couple trips we had planned. They took amazing care of him and we came home to a very happy and healthy cat both times. Michele (the owner) and Liz are super professional and loving pet sitters, who really go above and beyond to make sure your pet gets everything they need while you’re away. They do the basics like feeding and scooping litter; but also gave him daily brushing, played with him, and gave him lots of affection. They leave a daily report saying what they did and how our cat Nick was doing every day, which are really nice to read when you get home, and always responded promptly when we texted asking how things are going. They also took amazing care of our potted outdoor plants and 4 newly planted trees, in addition to taking in our mail every day and putting the trash and recycling on the curb for trash pickup. I felt much more relaxed knowing our cat and house were in good hands while we were away. I can’t recommend them enough!
I cannot say enough about Wendi and the ladies. They are all super. I have been a client for over 15 years with all my dogs. Wendi even stayed with me when I had to put my little Murphy down. You don't see that kind of service from many places today. My pets are like their own pets.
Best pet sitting in the area! They have a meeting with you to walk through your home as a new client to determine all of your pet's needs. Billing is sent to your email (which I really appreciate it). They provide detailed notes for every day they visit with pre-maid sheets that, to me, are truly wonderful to come home to. :D Best of all is their service and compassionate care. We had a family emergency recently, and Better Way Pet Sitting jumped in and was able to look after our cats. It was truly valuable to have a service we trusted when we needed it. So grateful to have access to them now and into the future!
The most important aspect of a pet care company is reliability, which you will get 100% with ABW. I used them frequently when I had knee surgery and couldn't walk my puppy, and continued with their services for the convenience of being able to stay at work through lunch. They always come exactly when they said they will and I love how they leave me notes after each visit! My pups were well taken care of!

ABW is outstanding! The staff accommodates all types pets with their unique personalities & needs. Wendi, Michele, & Leslie have taken care of our diabetic older cats who needed injections 2 times a day and our current "scaredy cats" who now come out to see their care takers in our absence. I have been using ABW for almost 5 years for my dogs and they have been nothing short of fantastic. In the beginning of looking for someone to take my dogs out in the middle of the day while I was at work, I was not super comfortable with someone being in my house while I wasn’t home let alone with my dogs! As soon as I met with Michele I felt at ease and you can tell both she and the great pet walkers/sitters at ABW instantly fall in love with your dogs (almost) as much as you are! Now I feel a sense of comfort knowing that ABW will be at my house because my dogs love them, they’re incredibly reliable and responsive. I’d be lost without the . We switched to ABW from another walker and we couldn't be happier! Scheduling is easy, price is fair and the they provide excellent, professional service. We have a fairly consistent walker who absolutely loves our dog and it makes me feel good to know he is getting love when she comes. Even when we do get someone else, he is still in good hands and he's loved everyone who has come. The additional touches like brining packages in and rolling the trash cans back to their spot on trash day really make the whole package so worth it!
