It is difficult finding a sitter in PNW in the winter. Really appreciated Suzanne working with us on dates for mutual benefit. She manages a busy schedule or perhaps a busy time of year for her work/business. As she states she is a responsible and experienced caretaker we had no issues. She did great with Ally giving her a good amount of daily exercise bringing her along to various activities. Home was tidy as we left it. Spending more time on her arrival and departure would have been great. Overall we were grateful to have her sit while we were away.
I had a blast on this sit! Milo was such a joy - full of energy....and pretty quick. So watch him when he's out in the yard. Morgan was patient, communicating every step of the way. Highly recommend! Would sit anytime im in Austin....Thanks Again! Thanks!!
We had a great time caring for Serena’s adorable dog and loving cat trio! Each day, all four of them would snuggle up all around us while we worked remotely, or were watching TV. They are a breeze to care for, as Serena has a great setup in her lovely home: The kitties (Sandra, Pepperoni and Sparkle) all share auto feeders, water fountains, and even have a self cleaning litter box. Milton (the dog) is very sociable and is happy to hang out with the felines or be your buddy for the day. He has easy access to the fenced in backyard, or will take short strolls around the block. We are glad we got to meet Serena upon our arrival, and really enjoyed spending time with them all. It was so much fun getting to know each and every one of their unique personalities… we would happily return, should we find ourselves in Austin again!
Ralphie was just the cutest cat. He really follows you everywhere all the time. And he is able to walk on the table without stepping on your keyboard xD Playing with him is so much fun as he really loves it and goes all in. The communication with Kristen was fast and clear. The apartment was clean and full of nice plants :) There are buses nearby to bring you to the city center fast. A grocery store is within walking distance. Can't wait to see him again soon :)
Mark and Anne were so lovely! Their house was peaceful and a great place to work and unwind while exploring Asheville. Bailey was a very high energy and affectionate pup, he LOVES cuddles which we enjoyed thoroughly! We'd absolutely sit for them again if we come back through Asheville.
Wow, what an absolutely wonderful stay we had in Peter and Deena's home. They are the most accommodating and friendly hosts! Peter was kind enough to pick us up from the airport, and both he and Deena showed us around and we had a chat on their beautiful lanai. They gave us a very comprehensive welcome guide and were extremely friendly, letting us use whatever we needed to in the apartment. We even found a gift for ourselves at check-in. Finally, they were gracious enough to let us use their car, which was super appreciated during our stay. We updated Peter and Deena every couple days with pictures of Callie and Popo. They are such sweet cats! Callie is a little sassy in an extremely entertaining way - she is definitely Popo's boss. She also enjoys eating (dry) cat food out of your hand, which we kept by the bed, as she would nudge us occasionally for some. Popo was shy at first and avoided much petting for about 5 days, but after that came out as extremely cuddly and couldn't get enough rubs or scratches. He enjoys occasional time out rebelling in the apartment hallway (under supervision). He is also a pretty picky eater so we fed him different cans of cat food 4-5 times a day, but he doesn't eat all of every can - he just likes a taste of them all. We miss them! Regarding the apartment, it is modern and friendly, with gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the city. It is even more stunning than the pictures. The bed is very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. The TV is great and we were able to use Peter's computer monitor setup easily for browsing/work. I also wouldn't have picked a better neighborhood. The Nuuanu-Punchbowl area is far enough from the Waikiki/Ala Moana neighborhoods to feel a little more relaxed, but only a 10-15 minute drive from either of them. Liliha Bakery, which Peter and Deena recommended to us, was our favorite nearby spot and we ate there several times (best pastries I've ever had in my life). If you want to explore beaches, Kailua beaches are an easy 20-25 minute drive away, less crowded than the hustle and bustle of Waikiki (and in my opinion, more beautiful). Peter and Deena supplied us with nice local tips and it made our stay that much more enjoyable. We can't thank you enough for our wonderful Hawaii excursion.
