We had a great three week sit watching Ann and Pat's kitties!

We loved caring for Ensign Chekov, Highway, Lt. Uhura, MK and Mr. Spock. Everyone was easy to care for. MK is a feral outdoor kitty. He was happy with water and kibble everyday. The four indoor cats also got fresh water, kibble refills and litter box scooping. There were some plants to water and mail to bring in... and the best part... playing with the cats! Chekov was the most playful, but everyone else jumped in too at some point. The kitties checked us out first for a day or two and decided we were ok. Chek had no adjustment period... he was ready to play right away. All the cats had wonderful personalities and were friendly toward us.

Ann and Pat's home is beautifully decorated in their style and immaculately clean. We were very comfortable in their guest bedroom. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space to unpack.

Ann and Pat live in the city of Houston in a beautiful neighborhood. You have to be cautious no matter where you are and most people will say more so on cities, but we never felt an ounce of unsafety. They have created an amazing oasis in their backyard. Their home was close to shopping and attractions.

We can't say enough about Ann and Pat. We have been very fortunate to sit for pet parents that made us feel welcome and appreciated, but Ann and Pat were a professional level host and hostess. They had many touches to make us feel welcome and at home. We enjoyed their company our first night so much. They are a special family. We were honored to have the opportunity to watch their treasured fur babies and beautiful home. I would encourage other sitters to apply to sit for them. I hope we get to see them again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Roscoe and the cats in Breckenridge. Roscoe is easy to care for and has a pleasant personality. Roscoe simply needs to be let out about every four hours and fed twice a day. He is blind and elderly, so just needs to be assisted outside.

Christopher, Roscoe's dad, put me up in the master bedroom which is very nice and has a full ensuite bath. There are a couple other guest bedrooms so a friend was able to join me for a couple days over the weekend which Chris okayed. I also got to know John, Chris's roommate while I was there as well. John was very welcoming and I even checked out one of his music gigs while I was in town.

The cats were easy to take care of as well and Harrison liked being pet. I even came back for a second sit outside of TH and will be back anytime I'm asked!

Joanna and Archie made us very welcome and arriving the afternoon before they were leaving meant there was a very good hand over.
Aussie and Sydney were adorable and soon calmed down after the initial lively and very vocal greeting! Joanna took us on a local walk approx 10 mins from their house which was very useful and we saw how the two dogs were off lead. The walk led to some fields, a small wooded area and a very pretty arbotorium.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and once walked, the dogs were happy to be left for a couple of hours whilst we went and explored the local sights . We enjoyed a meal in a local pub called the Cross Keys which was a 20 min walk but maybe be wise to book as we had to wait 30 mins for a table .
Altogether a very enjoyable break .

I had a wonderful time staying on the farm.
The animals were so lovely, I particularly found the goat amusing. The dogs were very loving and friendly and Daisy the young cat, was the boss.
I would love to go back, Anita and Paul were very thoughtful in helping me settle in.

Higgy and Renee are two of the greatest hosts I have encountered in 8 years... kind, thoughtful, easy-going...who have created a warm and welcoming home in an easily accessible suburb of New Haven (not far from Yale University). It was an instant connection with Lola that made our (too short) time together so comfortable. Kierra (the cat) was a pleasure.
